Y nunca después vio Samuel a Saúl, hasta el día de su muerte; sin embargo Samuel lloraba por Saúl. Y Jehová se arrepintió de haber puesto a Saúl por rey sobre Israel.

And Samuel came no more to see Saul until the day of his death: nevertheless Samuel mourned for Saul: and the LORD repented that he had made Saul king over Israel.
