24An jenem Tage aber kasteite sich Israels Mannschaft, hatte doch Saul das Volk schwören lassen: "Verflucht sei der Mann, der Speise vor dem Abend ißt, bevor ich an meinen Feinden Rache genommen!" Und so hatte das ganze Volk keine Speise gekostet.
