E avvenne, che circa un mese dopo si mosse Naas Ammonite, e principiò ad assediare Jabes di Galaad. E tutti gli uomini di Jabes dissero a Naas: Prendici in confederazione, e sarem tuoi servi.

Y SUBIÓ Naas Ammonita, y asentó campo contra Jabes de Galaad. Y todos los de Jabes dijeron á Naas: Haz alianza con nosotros, y te serviremos.

Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabesh-gilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.
