1Im 480. Jahr nach dem Auszug der Kinder Israel aus Ägypten, im vierten Jahre der Regierung Salomos über Israel, im Monat Siv, das ist der zweite Monat, baute er dem HERRN das Haus.
2Das Haus aber, das der König Salomo dem HERRN baute, war sechzig Ellen lang, zwanzig Ellen breit und dreißig Ellen hoch.
3Und er baute eine Halle vor dem Tempelhaus, zwanzig Ellen lang, gemäß der Breite des Hauses, und zehn Ellen breit, vor dem Hause her.
4Und er machte an das Haus Fenster mit festeingefügtem Gitterwerk.
5Und er baute an die Wand des Hauses einen Anbau ringsum gegen die Wand des Hauses, sowohl des Tempels, als auch des Chors, und machte Seitengemächer ringsum.
6Das unterste Stockwerk war fünf Ellen breit, das mittlere sechs Ellen und das dritte sieben Ellen breit; denn er machte Absätze an der Außenseite des Hauses ringsum, so daß sie nicht in die Wände des Hauses eingriffen.
7Und als das Haus gebaut ward, wurde es aus Steinen, die fertig behauen aus dem Bruch kamen, gebaut, so daß man weder Hammer noch Meißel noch sonst ein eisernes Werkzeug im Hause hörte, während es gebaut wurde.
8Der Eingang zum untersten Stockwerk befand sich an der rechten Seite des Hauses, und man stieg auf Wendeltreppen hinauf zum mittleren und vom mittleren zum dritten Stockwerk.
9Also baute er das Haus und vollendete es und deckte das Haus mit Brettern und Balkenreihen von Zedernholz.
10Er baute auch die Stockwerke am ganzen Haus, jedes fünf Ellen hoch, und verband sie mit dem Haus durch Zedernbalken.
11Und es erging ein Wort des HERRN an Salomo, das lautete also:
12Dieses Haus betreffend, das du gebaut hast: Wirst du in meinen Satzungen wandeln und alle meine Gebote halten und beobachten, so daß du darin wandelst, so will ich mein Wort an dir erfüllen, das ich deinem Vater David verheißen habe;
13und ich will mitten unter den Kindern Israel wohnen und will mein Volk Israel nicht verlassen!
14Also baute Salomo das Haus und vollendete es.
15Und er bekleidete die Wände des Hauses inwendig mit Brettern von Zedern, von des Hauses Boden an bis an die Balken der Decke, und täfelte es mit Holz inwendig und belegte den Boden des Hauses mit Brettern von Zypressenholz.
16Und er baute in einem Abstand von zwanzig Ellen von der hintern Seite des Hauses eine zederne Wand, vom Boden bis zum Gebälk, und baute es inwendig aus zum Chor, zum Allerheiligsten.
17Aber das Tempelhaus vor dem Chor war vierzig Ellen lang.
18Und das Zedernholz inwendig am Hause war Schnitzwerk von Koloquinten und aufgebrochenen Blumen. Alles war von Zedernholz, so daß man keinen Stein sah.
19Aber den Chor richtete er im Innern des Hauses her, um die Bundeslade des HERRN dorthin zu stellen.
20Und vor dem Chor; welcher zwanzig Ellen lang und zwanzig Ellen breit und zwanzig Ellen hoch und mit feinem Gold überzogen war; täfelte er den Altar mit Zedernholz.
21Und Salomo überzog das Haus inwendig mit feinem Gold, und er zog goldene Ketten vor dem Chore her, den er mit Gold überzogen hatte,
22also daß das ganze Haus völlig mit Gold überzogen war. Auch den Altar, der vor dem Chor stand, überzog er mit Gold.
23Er machte im Chor auch zwei Cherubim von Ölbaumholz, zehn Ellen hoch.
24Fünf Ellen maß der eine Flügel des Cherubs und fünf Ellen der andere Flügel des Cherubs; zehn Ellen waren vom Ende des einen Flügels bis zum Ende des andern Flügels.
25Auch der andere Cherub hatte zehn Ellen Flügelweite. Beide Cherubim hatten gleiches Maß und gleiche Form.
26Die Höhe des einen Cherubs betrug zehn Ellen, ebenso die Höhe des andern Cherubs.
27Und er tat die Cherubim mitten ins innerste Haus. Und die Cherubim breiteten ihre Flügel aus, so daß der Flügel des einen Cherubs die eine Wand und der Flügel des andern Cherubs die andere Wand berührte. Aber in der Mitte des Hauses berührte ein Flügel den andern.
28Und er überzog die Cherubim mit Gold.
29Und an allen Wänden des Hauses ließ er Schnitzwerk anbringen von Cherubim, Palmen und aufgebrochenen Blumen, innerhalb und außerhalb.
30Auch den Boden des Hauses überzog er mit Gold, innerhalb und außerhalb.
31Den Eingang zum Chor machte er mit Türen von Ölbaumholz, Gesimse und Pfosten im Fünfeck.
32Und er machte zwei Türflügel von Ölbaumholz und ließ darauf Schnitzwerk von Cherubim, Palmen und aufgebrochenen Blumen anbringen und überzog sie mit Gold; auch die Cherubim und die Palmen überzog er mit Gold.
33Ebenso machte er auch am Eingang des Tempels viereckige Pfosten von Ölbaumholz
34und zwei Türflügel aus Zypressenholz; aus zwei drehbaren Blättern bestand der eine Flügel, und aus zwei drehbaren Blättern der andere Flügel.
35Und er machte darauf Schnitzwerk von Cherubim, Palmen und aufgebrochenen Blumen und überzog sie mit Gold, das dem Schnitzwerk angepaßt war.
36Auch baute er den innern Vorhof mit drei Lagen Quadersteinen und einer Lage Zedernbalken.
37Im vierten Jahre, im Monat Siv, war der Grund zum Hause des HERRN gelegt worden.
38Und im elften Jahre, im Monat Bul, das ist im achten Monat, ward das Haus vollendet nach allen seinen Plänen und Vorschriften, so daß er sieben Jahre lang daran gebaut hatte.

1Y FUÉ en el año cuatrocientos ochenta después que los hijos de Israel salieron de Egipto, en el cuarto año del principio del reino de Salomón sobre Israel, en el mes de Ziph, que es el mes segundo, que él comenzó á edificar la casa de Jehová.
2La casa que el rey Salomón edificó á Jehová, tuvo sesenta codos de largo y veinte de ancho, y treinta codos de alto.
3Y el pórtico delante del templo de la casa, de veinte codos de largo, según la anchura de la casa, y su ancho era de diez codos delante de la casa.
4E hizo á la casa ventanas anchas por de dentro, y estrechas por de fuera.
5Edificó también junto al muro de la casa aposentos alrededor, contra las paredes de la casa en derredor del templo y del oráculo: é hizo cámaras alrededor.
6El aposento de abajo era de cinco codos de ancho, y el de en medio de seis codos de ancho, y el tercero de siete codos de ancho: porque por de fuera había hecho disminuciones á la casa en derredor, para no trabar las vigas de las paredes de la casa.
7Y la casa cuando se edificó, fabricáronla de piedras que traían ya acabadas; de tal manera que cuando la edificaban, ni martillos ni hachas se oyeron en la casa, ni ningún otro instrumento de hierro.
8La puerta del aposento de en medio estaba al lado derecho de la casa: y subíase por un caracol al de en medio, y del aposento de en medio al tercero.
9Labró pues la casa, y acabóla; y cubrió la casa con artesonados de cedro.
10Y edificó asimismo el aposento en derredor de toda la casa, de altura de cinco codos, el cual se apoyaba en la casa con maderas de cedro.
11Y fué palabra de Jehová á Salomón, diciendo:
12Esta casa que tú edificas, si anduvieres en mis estatutos, é hicieres mis derechos, y guardares todos mis mandamientos andando en ellos, yo tendré firme contigo mi palabra que hablé á David tu padre;
13Y habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel, y no dejaré á mi pueblo Israel.
14Así que, Salomón labró la casa, y acabóla.
15Y aparejó las paredes de la casa por de dentro con tablas de cedro, vistiéndola de madera por dentro, desde el solado de la casa hasta las paredes de la techumbre: cubrió también el pavimento con madera de haya.
16Asimismo hizo al cabo de la casa un edificio de veinte codos de tablas de cedro, desde el solado hasta lo más alto; y fabricóse en la casa un oráculo, que es el lugar santísimo.
17Y la casa, á saber, el templo de dentro, tenía cuarenta codos.
18Y la casa estaba cubierta de cedro por de dentro, y tenía entalladuras de calabazas silvestres y de botones de flores. Todo era cedro; ninguna piedra se veía.
19Y adornó el oráculo por de dentro en medio de la casa, para poner allí el arca del pacto de Jehová.
20Y el oráculo estaba en la parte de adentro, el cual tenía veinte codos de largo, y otros veinte de ancho, y otros veinte de altura; y vistiólo de oro purísimo: asimismo cubrió el altar de cedro.
21De suerte que vistió Salomón de oro puro la casa por de dentro, y cerró la entrada del oráculo con cadenas de oro, y vistiólo de oro.
22Cubrió pues de oro toda la casa hasta el cabo; y asimismo vistió de oro todo el altar que estaba delante del oráculo.
23Hizo también en el oráculo dos querubines de madera de oliva, cada uno de altura de diez codos.
24La una ala del querubín tenía cinco codos, y la otra ala del querubín otros cinco codos: así que había diez codos desde la punta de la una ala hasta la punta de la otra.
25Asimismo el otro querubín tenía diez codos; porque ambos querubines eran de un tamaño y de una hechura.
26La altura del uno era de diez codos, y asimismo el otro.
27Y puso estos querubines dentro de la casa de adentro: los cuales querubines extendían sus alas, de modo que el ala del uno tocaba á la pared, y el ala del otro querubín tocaba á la otra pared, y las otras dos alas se tocaban la una á la otra en la mitad de la casa.
28Y vistió de oro los querubines.
29Y esculpió todas las paredes de la casa alrededor de diversas figuras, de querubines, de palmas, y de botones de flores, por de dentro y por de fuera.
30Y cubrió de oro el piso de la casa, de dentro y de fuera.
31Y á la entrada del oráculo hizo puertas de madera de oliva; y el umbral y los postes eran de cinco esquinas.
32Las dos puertas eran de madera de oliva; y entalló en ellas figuras de querubines y de palmas y de botones de flores, y cubriólas de oro: cubrió también de oro los querubines y las palmas.
33Igualmente hizo á la puerta del templo postes de madera de oliva cuadrados.
34Pero las dos puertas eran de madera de haya; y los dos lados de la una puerta eran redondos, y los otros dos lados de la otra puerta también redondos.
35Y entalló en ellas querubines y palmas y botones de flores, y cubriólas de oro ajustado á las entalladuras.
36Y edificó el atrio interior de tres órdenes de piedras labradas, y de un orden de vigas de cedro.
37En el cuarto año, en el mes de Ziph, se echaron los cimientos de la casa de Jehová:
38Y en el undécimo año, en el mes de Bul, que es el mes octavo, fué acabada la casa con todas sus pertenencias, y con todo lo necesario. Edificóla pues, en siete años.

1And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.
2And the house which king Solomon built for the LORD, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.
3And the porch before the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof before the house.
4And for the house he made windows of narrow lights.
5And against the wall of the house he built chambers round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the oracle: and he made chambers round about:
6The nethermost chamber was five cubits broad, and the middle was six cubits broad, and the third was seven cubits broad: for without in the wall of the house he made narrowed rests round about, that the beams should not be fastened in the walls of the house.
7And the house, when it was in building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought thither: so that there was neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was in building.
8The door for the middle chamber was in the right side of the house: and they went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.
9So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.
10And then he built chambers against all the house, five cubits high: and they rested on the house with timber of cedar.
11And the word of the LORD came to Solomon, saying,
12Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou wilt walk in my statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:
13And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.
14So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
15And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, both the floor of the house, and the walls of the cieling: and he covered them on the inside with wood, and covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.
16And he built twenty cubits on the sides of the house, both the floor and the walls with boards of cedar: he even built them for it within, even for the oracle, even for the most holy place.
17And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.
18And the cedar of the house within was carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.
19And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of the LORD.
20And the oracle in the forepart was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and so covered the altar which was of cedar.
21So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he made a partition by the chains of gold before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.
22And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.
23And within the oracle he made two cherubims of olive tree, each ten cubits high.
24And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.
25And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubims were of one measure and one size.
26The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub.
27And he set the cherubims within the inner house: and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
28And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.
29And he carved all the walls of the house round about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, within and without.
30And the floor of the house he overlaid with gold, within and without.
31And for the entering of the oracle he made doors of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.
32The two doors also were of olive tree; and he carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon the palm trees.
33So also made he for the door of the temple posts of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.
34And the two doors were of fir tree: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
35And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.
36And he built the inner court with three rows of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.
37In the fourth year was the foundation of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif:
38And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

1In the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build the LORD’s house.
2The house which King Solomon built for the LORD had a length of sixty cubits, and its width twenty, and its height thirty cubits.
3The porch in front of the temple of the house had a length of twenty cubits, which was along the width of the house. Ten cubits was its width in front of the house.
4He made windows of fixed lattice work for the house.
5Against the wall of the house, he built floors all around, against the walls of the house all around, both of the temple and of the inner sanctuary; and he made side rooms all around.
6The lowest floor was five cubits wide, and the middle was six cubits wide, and the third was seven cubits wide; for on the outside he made offsets in the wall of the house all around, that the beams should not be inserted into the walls of the house.
7The house, when it was under construction, was built of stone prepared at the quarry; and no hammer or ax or any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was under construction.
8The door for the middle side rooms was in the right side of the house. They went up by winding stairs into the middle floor, and out of the middle into the third.
9So he built the house and finished it; and he covered the house with beams and planks of cedar.
10He built the floors all along the house, each five cubits high; and they rested on the house with timbers of cedar.
11The LORD’s word came to Solomon, saying,

17In front of the temple sanctuary was forty cubits long.
18There was cedar on the house within, carved with buds and open flowers. All was cedar. No stone was visible.
19He prepared an inner sanctuary in the middle of the house within, to set the ark of the LORD’s covenant there.
20Within the inner sanctuary was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in its height. He overlaid it with pure gold. He covered the altar with cedar.
21So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold. He drew chains of gold across before the inner sanctuary, and he overlaid it with gold.
22He overlaid the whole house with gold, until all the house was finished. He also overlaid the whole altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary with gold.
23In the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.
24Five cubits was the length of one wing of the cherub, and five cubits was the length of the other wing of the cherub. From the tip of one wing to the tip of the other was ten cubits.
25The other cherub was ten cubits. Both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.
26One cherub was ten cubits high, and so was the other cherub.
27He set the cherubim within the inner house. The wings of the cherubim were stretched out, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the middle of the house.
28He overlaid the cherubim with gold.
29He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, inside and outside.
30He overlaid the floor of the house with gold, inside and outside.
31For the entrance of the inner sanctuary, he made doors of olive wood. The lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.
32So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold. He spread the gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees.
33He also made the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall,
34and two doors of cypress wood. The two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.
35He carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.
36He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone and a course of cedar beams.
37The foundation of the LORD’s house was laid in the fourth year, in the month Ziv.
38In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished throughout all its parts and according to all its specifications. So he spent seven years building it.
