1Salomón fue rey sobre todo Israel.
2Y estos eran sus principales: Azarías, hijo de Sadoc, era el sacerdote;
3Elihoref y Ahías, los hijos de Sisa, eran escribas; Josafat, el hijo de Ahilud, fue el registrador;
4Benaía, el hijo de Joiada, era jefe del ejército; Sadoc y Abiatar eran sacerdotes;
5Azarías, el hijo de Natán, estaba sobre los que tenían autoridad en las diferentes divisiones del país; Zabud, el hijo de Natán, era sacerdote y amigo del rey;
6Ahisar era el controlador de la casa del rey; Adoniram, el hijo de Abda, fue supervisor del trabajo forzado.
7Y Salomón puso doce supervisores sobre todo Israel, para que se hiciera cargo de las tiendas que necesitaban el rey y los de su casa; Cada hombre era responsable de un mes en el año.
8Y estos son sus nombres: el hijo de Hur en la región montañosa de Efraín;
9El hijo de Decar, en Macaz y Saalbim y Bet-semes, Elon y Bet-hanan;
10El hijo de Jésed en Arubot, y también en Soco y toda la tierra de Hefer; estaban bajo su control;
11El hijo de Abinadab en todo el territorio de dor; Su esposa fue Tafat, la hija de Salomón.
12Baana, el hijo de Ahilud, en Taanac, y Meguido y todo Bet- seán que está al lado de Saretan, debajo de Jezreel, desde Bet-seán hasta Abel-mehola, hasta el otro lado de Jocmeam;
13El hijo de Geber en Ramot de Galaad; tenía los pueblos de Jair, el hijo de Manasés, que están en Galaad, y el país de Argob, que está en Basán, sesenta grandes pueblos con muros y cerraduras de bronce.
14Ahinadab, el hijo de Ido, en Mahanaim;
15Ahimaas en Neftalí; tomó a Basemat, la hija de Salomón, como a su esposa;
16Baana, el hijo de Husai, en Aser y Alot;
17Josafat, hijo de Parua, en Isacar;
18Simei, el hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;
19Geber, hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la tierra de Sehón, rey de los amorreos, y Og, rey de Basán; y un supervisor general, tenía autoridad sobre todos los supervisores que estaban en la tierra.
20Judá e Israel eran tan numerosos en número como la arena junto al mar, y tomaron su comida y bebida con alegría en sus corazones.
21Y Salomón gobernó todos los reinos desde el río hasta la tierra de los filisteos, hasta el borde de Egipto; Los hombres le dieron ofrendas y fueron sus sirvientes todos los días de su vida.
22Y la cantidad de comida de Salomón por un día fue de treinta medidas de grano triturado y sesenta medidas de comida;
23Diez bueyes gordos y veinte bueyes de los pastos, y cien ovejas, además venados y gacelas y aves gordas.
24Porque tenía autoridad sobre todo el país en este lado del río, desde Tifsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes en este lado del río; y tuvo paz a su alrededor por todos lados.
25Y vivían Judá e Israel a salvo, cada uno debajo de su vid y su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, todos los días de Salomón.
26Y Salomón tenía cuatro mil casilleros para caballos en sus carruajes y doce mil jinetes.
27Y esos supervisores, todos los hombres en turno del mes, vieron que se producía comida para Salomón y todos sus invitados, y cuidaban de que nada se pasara por alto.
28Y llevaron grano y pasto seco para los caballos y los carruajes, al lugar correcto, cada uno como se le ordenó.
29Y Dios le dio a Salomón una gran cantidad de sabiduría y buen sentido, y una mente de gran alcance, tan ancha como la arena junto al mar.
30Y la sabiduría de Salomón era mayor que la sabiduría de todos los pueblos del este y toda la sabiduría de Egipto.
31Porque era más sabio que todos los hombres, incluso que Etán de Zera, y Heman y Calcol y Darda, los hijos de Mahol; y tuvo un gran nombre entre todas las naciones alrededor.
32Fue el creador de tres mil dichos sabios, y de canciones hasta el número de mil cinco.
33Hizo dichos sobre todas las plantas, desde el cedro en el Líbano hasta el hisopo colgado en la pared; y sobre todas las bestias y aves y peces y las cosas pequeñas de la tierra.
34La gente venía de todas las naciones para escuchar la sabiduría de Salomón, de todos los reinos de la tierra que habían oído de las palabras de su sabiduría.

16Baana hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Aloth;
17Josaphat hijo de Pharua, en Issachâr;
18Semei hijo de Ela, en Benjamín;
19Geber hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, la tierra de Sehón rey de los Amorrheos, y de Og rey de Basán; éste era el único gobernador en aquella tierra.
20Judá é Israel eran muchos, como la arena que está junto á la mar en multitud, comiendo y bebiendo y alegrándose.
21Y Salomón señoreaba sobre todos los reinos, desde el río de la tierra de los Filisteos hasta el término de Egipto: y traían presentes, y sirvieron á Salomón todos los días que vivió.
22Y la despensa de Salomón era cada día treinta coros de flor de harina, y sesenta coros de harina.
23Diez bueyes engordados, y veinte bueyes de pasto, y cien ovejas; sin los ciervos, cabras, búfalos, y aves engordadas.
24Porque él señoreaba en toda la región que estaba de la otra parte del río, desde Tiphsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes de la otra parte del río; y tuvo paz por todos lados en derredor suyo.

28Hacían también traer cebada y paja para los caballos y para las bestias de carga, al lugar donde él estaba, cada uno conforme al cargo que tenía.
29Y dió Dios á Salomón sabiduría, y prudencia muy grande, y anchura de corazón como la arena que está á la orilla del mar.
30Que fué mayor la sabiduría de Salomón que la de todos los orientales, y que toda la sabiduría de los Egipcios.
31Y aun fué más sabio que todos los hombres; más que Ethán Ezrahita, y que Emán y Calchôl y Darda, hijos de Mahol: y fué nombrado entre todas las naciones de alrededor.
32Y propuso tres mil parábolas; y sus versos fueron mil y cinco.
33También disertó de los árboles, desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que nace en la pared. Asimismo disertó de los animales, de las aves, de los reptiles, y de los peces.
34Y venían de todos los pueblos á oir la sabiduría de Salomón, y de todos los reyes de la tierra, donde había llegado la fama de su sabiduría.

1So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend:
6And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:

15Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

17Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.

4Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army; Zadok and Abiathar were priests;
5Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers; Zabud the son of Nathan was chief minister, the king’s friend;
6Ahishar was over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to forced labor.
7Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household. Each man had to make provision for a month in the year.
8These are their names: Ben Hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
9Ben Deker, in Makaz, in Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh, and Elon Beth Hanan;
10Ben Hesed, in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher belonged to him);

15Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon as wife);

17Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;

31For he was wiser than all men—wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was in all the nations all around.
