And the king of Israel said unto his servants, Know ye that Ramoth in Gilead is ours, and we be still, and take it not out of the hand of the king of Syria?
The king of Israel said to his servants, “You know that Ramoth Gilead is ours, and we do nothing, and don’t take it out of the hand of the king of Syria?”

And he said unto Jehoshaphat, Wilt thou go with me to battle to Ramoth-gilead? And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, I am as thou art, my people as thy people, my horses as thy horses.
He said to Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to battle to Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”
Josafat dijo al rey de Israel:" Por favor pide dirección de la palabra del SEÑOR sobre qué debes hacer primero."

And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to day.

Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

El rey de Israel le dijo a Josafat:" Aún hay un hombre del que podemos pedir consejo del SEÑOR para ayuda, Micaías hijo de Imla, pero lo odio porque él no profetiza nada bueno sobre mí, sólo dificultades." Pero Josafat dijo:" No diga eso el rey."
Y el rey de Israel respondió á Josaphat: Aun hay un varón por el cual podríamos consultar á Jehová, Michêas, hijo de Imla: mas yo le aborrezco, porque nunca me profetiza bien, sino solamente mal. Y Josaphat dijo: No hable el rey así.
And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may enquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron: and he said, Thus saith the LORD, With these shalt thou push the Syrians, until thou have consumed them.
Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made himself horns of iron, and said, “The LORD says, ‘With these you will push the Syrians, until they are consumed.’”
Y todos los profetas profetizaban lo mismo, diciendo:" Ataca a Ramot de Galaad y gana, porque el SEÑOR los ha puesto en las manos del rey."
Y todos los profetas profetizaban de la misma manera, diciendo: Sube á Ramoth de Galaad, y serás prosperado; que Jehová la dará en mano del rey.
And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the king’s hand.

El mensajero que fue a llamar a Micaías le habló diciendo:" Ahora mira, que las palabras de los profetas le declaran cosas buenas al rey a una voz. Por favor que tu palabra sea como la de uno de ellos y diga cosas buenas."
Y el mensajero que había ido á llamar á Michêas, hablóle, diciendo: He aquí las palabras de los profetas á una boca anuncian al rey bien: sea ahora tu palabra conforme á la palabra de alguno de ellos, y anuncia bien.
And the messenger that was gone to call Micaiah spake unto him, saying, Behold now, the words of the prophets declare good unto the king with one mouth: let thy word, I pray thee, be like the word of one of them, and speak that which is good.
The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, “See now, the prophets declare good to the king with one mouth. Please let your word be like the word of one of them, and speak good.”
Micaías dijo:" Así como el SEÑOR vive, que lo que el SEÑOR diga es lo que diré."

And Micaiah said, As the LORD liveth, what the LORD saith unto me, that will I speak.

Cuando vino ante el rey, el rey le dijo:"¿Micaías debemos ir a Ramot de Galaad a la batalla, o no? Micaías le contestó:" Ataca y gana. El SEÑOR la dará en la mano del rey."
Vino pues al rey, y el rey le dijo: Michêas, ¿iremos á pelear contra Ramoth de Galaad, ó la dejaremos? Y él le respondió: Sube, que serás prosperado, y Jehová la entregará en mano del rey.
So he came to the king. And the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall we forbear? And he answered him, Go, and prosper: for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
When he had come to the king, the king said to him, “Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall we forbear?” He answered him, “Go up and prosper; and the LORD will deliver it into the hand of the king.”
Entonces él rey le dijo:" ¿Cuántas veces te he pedido que jures decirme sólo la verdad en el nombre del SEÑOR?
Y el rey le dijo: ¿Hasta cuántas veces he de conjurarte que no me digas sino la verdad en el nombre de Jehová?
And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD?
The king said to him, “How many times do I have to adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the LORD’s name?”
Así que Micaías le dijo:"Yo vi a todo Israel dispersado hacia las montañas, como ovejas que no tienen pastor, y el SEÑOR dijo: 'Estos no tienen pastor. Dejemos que cada hombre vuelva a su casa en paz."
Entonces él dijo: Yo ví á todo Israel esparcido por los montes, como ovejas que no tienen pastor: y Jehová dijo: Estos no tienen señor; vuélvase cada uno á su casa en paz.
And he said, I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.
He said, “I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. The LORD said, ‘These have no master. Let them each return to his house in peace.’”
Así que el rey de Israel le dijo a Josafat:" ¿No te dije que él no iba a profetizar bien sobre mí, sino sólo desastre?" Entonces Micaías dijo:"
Y el rey de Israel dijo á Josaphat: ¿No te lo había yo dicho? Ninguna cosa buena profetizará él acerca de mí, sino solamente mal.
And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would prophesy no good concerning me, but evil?
The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”
Por lo tanto escucha la voz del SEÑOR: Yo vi al SEÑOR sentado en Su trono, y todas las huestes del cielo estaban de pie ante Él a su mano derecha y a su izquierda.
Entonces él dijo: Oye pues palabra de Jehová: Yo vi á Jehová sentado en su trono, y todo el ejército de los cielos estaba junto á él, á su diestra y á su siniestra.
And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the LORD’s word. I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the army of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
El SEÑOR dijo: '¿Quién persuadirá a Acab, para que suba y caiga en Ramot Galaad?' Uno de ellos decía esto, y otro decía aquello.
Y Jehová dijo: ¿Quién inducirá á Achâb, para que suba y caiga en Ramoth de Galaad? Y uno decía de una manera; y otro decía de otra.
And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.
The LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ One said one thing, and another said another.
Entonces un espíritu vino al frente, se paró delante del SEÑOR, y dijo: 'Yo le persuadiré a él.' El SEÑOR le dijo: '¿Cómo?'
Y salió un espíritu, y púsose delante de Jehová, y dijo: Yo le induciré. Y Jehová le dijo: ¿De qué manera?
And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.
A spirit came out and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will entice him.’
El espíritu contestó: 'Yo saldré y seré un espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos sus profetas.' El SEÑOR respondió: ' Tú lo tentarás, y tú también serás exitoso. Ve ahora y hazlo.'
Y él dijo: Yo saldré, y seré espíritu de mentira en boca de todos sus profetas. Y él dijo: Inducirlo has, y aun saldrás con ello; sal pues, y hazlo así.
And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
The LORD said to him, ‘How?’ He said, ‘I will go out and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ He said, ‘You will entice him, and will also prevail. Go out and do so.’
Ahora mira, el SEÑOR ha puesto un espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos estos profetas tuyos, y el SEÑOR ha decretado desastre para ti."
Y ahora, he aquí Jehová ha puesto espíritu de mentira en la boca de todos estos tus profetas, y Jehová ha decretado el mal acerca de ti.
Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.
Now therefore, behold, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these your prophets; and the LORD has spoken evil concerning you.”
Entonces Sedequías hijo de Quenaana subió, golpeó a Micaías en la mejilla, y dijo:" ¿Cuál camino tomó el Espíritu del SEÑOR para irse de mí a hablarte a tí?
Llegándose entonces Sedechîas hijo de Chânaana, hirió á Michêas en la mejilla, diciendo: ¿Por dónde se fué de mí el espíritu de Jehová para hablarte á ti?
But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “Which way did the LORD’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”
Micaías dijo: " Mira, tú lo sabrás en ese día, cuando corrás de habitación en habitación para esconderte."
Y Michêas respondió: He aquí tú lo verás en aquel día, cuando te irás metiendo de cámara en cámara por esconderte.
And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see in that day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
Micaiah said, “Behold, you will see on that day when you go into an inner room to hide yourself.”
Él rey de Israel dijo a su sirviente:" Agarra a Micaías y llévalo donde Amón, el gobernador de la ciudad, y a Josías, mi hijo.
Entonces el rey de Israel dijo: Toma á Michêas, y vuélvelo á Amón gobernador de la ciudad, y á Joas hijo del rey;
And the king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back unto Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;
The king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son.
Dile a él: 'El rey dice: Pon a éste hombre en prisión y aliméntalo sólo con un poco de pan y un poco de agua, hasta que yo venga seguro.'"
Y dirás: Así ha dicho el rey: Echad á éste en la cárcel, y mantenedle con pan de angustia y con agua de aflicción, hasta que yo vuelva en paz.
And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.
Say, ‘The king says, “Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I come in peace.”’”
Luego Micaías dijo:" Si tú regresas seguro, entonces el SEÑOR no ha hablado por mí." Y él añadió: "Escuchen ésto, todos ustedes pueblo."
Y dijo Michêas: Si llegares á volver en paz, Jehová no ha hablado por mí. En seguida dijo: Oid, pueblos todos.
And Micaiah said, If thou return at all in peace, the LORD hath not spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, O people, every one of you.
Micaiah said, “If you return at all in peace, the LORD has not spoken by me.” He said, “Listen, all you people!”
Así que Acab, rey de Israel, y Josafat, el rey de Judá, subieron a Ramot de Galaad.

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and enter into the battle; but put thou on thy robes. And the king of Israel disguised himself, and went into the battle.
The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself and go into the battle, but you put on your robes.” The king of Israel disguised himself and went into the battle.
Ahora el rey de Aram había ordenado a los treinta y dos capitanes de sus carruajes, diciendo:" No ataquen a soldados importantes y no importantes. En cambio, sólo ataquen al rey de Israel."
Mas el rey de Siria había mandado á sus treinta y dos capitanes de los carros, diciendo: No peleéis vosotros ni con grande ni con chico, sino sólo contra el rey de Israel.
But the king of Syria commanded his thirty and two captains that had rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.
Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, “Don’t fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel.”
Sucedió que cuando los capitanes de los carruajes vieron a Josafat ellos dijeron:" Seguramente este es el rey de Israel." Se volvieron a atacarlo, así que Josafat gritó.
Y como los capitanes de los carros vieron á Josaphat, dijeron: Ciertamente éste es el rey de Israel; y viniéronse á él para pelear con él; mas el rey Josaphat dió voces.
And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out.
When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, “Surely that is the king of Israel!” and they came over to fight against him. Jehoshaphat cried out.
Sucedió que cuando los comandantes de los carruajes vieron que no era el rey de Israel, ellos se regresaron.

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.

Pero cierto hombre disparó su arco al azar e hirió al rey de Israel entre las uniones de su armadura. Entonces Acab le dijo al que manejaba su carruaje:" Da vuelta y sácame de la batalla porque estoy muy malherido."
Y un hombre disparando su arco á la ventura, hirió al rey de Israel por entre las junturas de la armadura; por lo que dijo él á su carretero: Toma la vuelta, y sácame del campo, que estoy herido.
And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: wherefore he said unto the driver of his chariot, Turn thine hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around, and carry me out of the battle, for I am severely wounded.”
La batalla se puso peor ese día y el rey fue retenido en su carruaje frente a los Arameos. Él murió esa tarde. La sangre de su herida corrió hasta el suelo de su carruaje.
Mas la batalla había arreciado aquel día, y el rey estuvo en su carro delante de los Siros, y á la tarde murió: y la sangre de la herida corría por el seno del carro.
And the battle increased that day: and the king was stayed up in his chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the chariot.
The battle increased that day. The king was propped up in his chariot facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out of the wound into the bottom of the chariot.
Entonces cuando el sol estaba bajando, un lamento se levantó a través del ejército diciendo:" ¡Cada hombre debe irse a su ciudad; y cada hombre debe volver a su región!"
Y á puesta del sol salió un pregón por el campo, diciendo: ¡Cada uno á su ciudad, y cada cual á su tierra!
And there went a proclamation throughout the host about the going down of the sun, saying, Every man to his city, and every man to his own country.
A cry went throughout the army about the going down of the sun, saying, “Every man to his city, and every man to his country!”
Así que el Rey Acab murió y fue traído a Samaria, y ellos le enterraron en Samaria.
