39Et comme le Roi passait, il cria au Roi, et lui dit : Ton serviteur était allé au milieu de la bataille, et voilà quelqu’un s’étant retiré, m’a amené un homme, et m’a dit : Garde cet homme, s’il vient à s’échapper, ta vie en répondra, ou tu en payeras un talent d’argent.

39Y como el rey pasaba, él dió voces al rey, y dijo: Tu siervo salió entre la tropa: y he aquí apartándose uno, trájome un hombre, diciendo: Guarda á este hombre, y si llegare á faltar, tu vida será por la suya, ó pagarás un talento de plata.

39And as the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.

39As the king passed by, he cried to the king, and he said, “Your servant went out into the middle of the battle; and behold, a man came over and brought a man to me, and said, ‘Guard this man!
