Cuando el rey David era muy viejo, ellos lo cubrieron con mantas, pero él no podía su cuerpo entrar en calor.

COMO el rey David era viejo, y entrado en días, cubríanle de vestidos, mas no se calentaba.

Now king David was old and stricken in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he gat no heat.

Now King David was old and advanced in years; and they covered him with clothes, but he couldn’t keep warm.

Así que sus sirvientes le dijeron a él: "Déjanos buscar a una joven soltera para nuestro amo el rey. Déjela servir al rey y cuidar de él. Déjela acostarse en sus brazos para que nuestro amo el rey pueda entibiar su cuerpo."

Dijéronle por tanto sus siervos: Busquen á mi señor el rey una moza virgen, para que esté delante del rey, y lo abrigue, y duerma á su lado, y calentará á mi señor el rey.

Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.

Therefore his servants said to him, “Let a young virgin be sought for my lord the king. Let her stand before the king, and cherish him; and let her lie in your bosom, that my lord the king may keep warm.”

Así que ellos buscaron una joven hermosa dentro de los límites de Israel. Y encontraron a Abisag la sunamita y se la trajeron al rey.

Y buscaron una moza hermosa por todo el término de Israel, y hallaron á Abisag Sunamita, y trajéronla al rey.

So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

So they sought for a beautiful young lady throughout all the borders of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

La joven era muy hermosa. Ella sirvió al rey y lo cuidó, pero el rey no tuvo relaciones sexuales con ella.

Y la moza era hermosa, la cual calentaba al rey, y le servía: mas el rey nunca la conoció.

And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king, and ministered to him: but the king knew her not.

The young lady was very beautiful; and she cherished the king, and served him; but the king didn’t know her intimately.

En ese tiempo, Adonías, hijo de Haguit, se enorgulleció a sí mismo diciendo: "Yo seré rey." Así que él preparó para sí mismo carruajes y jinetes con cincuenta hombres para correr delante de él.

Entonces Adonía hijo de Haggith se levantó, diciendo: Yo reinaré. E hízose de carros y gente de á caballo, y cincuenta hombres que corriesen delante de él.

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, I will be king: and he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.

Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, “I will be king.” Then he prepared him chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him.

Su padre nunca lo molestó diciendo: "¿Por qué has hecho esto o aquello?" Adonías también era un hombre muy guapo, nacido después de Absalón.

Y su padre nunca lo entristeció en todos sus días con decirle: ¿Por qué haces así? Y también éste era de hermoso parecer; y habíalo engendrado después de Absalom.

And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying, Why hast thou done so? and he also was a very goodly man; and his mother bare him after Absalom.

His father had not displeased him at any time in saying, “Why have you done so?” and he was also a very handsome man; and he was born after Absalom.

Él pidi[o consejo con Joab, hijo de Sarvia, y con Abiatar el sacerdote. Ellos siguieron a Adonías y le ayudaron.

Y tenía tratos con Joab hijo de Sarvia, y con Abiathar sacerdote, los cuales ayudaban á Adonía.

And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.

He conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah and with Abiathar the priest; and they followed Adonijah and helped him.

Pero Sadoc el sacerdote, Benaía, hijo de Joiada, Natán el profeta, Simei, Rei y los hombres poderosos que le pertenecían a David no siguieron a Adonías.

Mas Sadoc sacerdote, y Benaía hijo de Joiada, y Nathán profeta, y Semei, y Reihi, y todos los grandes de David, no seguían á Adonía.

But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men which belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

But Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei, Rei, and the mighty men who belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

Adonías sacrificó ovejas, bueyes y becerros engordados en la piedra de Zohélet, la cual está al lado de En Rogel. Él invitó a todos sus hermanos, los hijos del rey y a todos los hombres de Judá, los siervos del rey.

Y matando Adonía ovejas y vacas y animales engordados junto á la peña de Zoheleth, que está cerca de la fuente de Rogel, convidó á todos sus hermanos los hijos del rey, y á todos los varones de Judá, siervos del rey:

And Adonijah slew sheep and oxen and fat cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by En-rogel, and called all his brethren the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah the king’s servants:

Adonijah killed sheep, cattle, and fatlings by the stone of Zoheleth, which is beside En Rogel; and he called all his brothers, the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah, the king’s servants;

Pero él no invitó a Natán el profeta, a Benaía, a los hombres poderosos, ni a su hermano Salomón.

Mas no convidó á Nathán profeta, ni á Benaía, ni á los grandes, ni á Salomón su hermano.

But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he called not.

but he didn’t call Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother.

Entonces Natán le habló a Betsabé, la madre de Salomón, diciendo: "¿No has escuchado que Adonías, hijo de Haguit, se ha vuelto rey, y David nuestro amo no lo sabe?

Y habló Nathán á Bath-sheba madre de Salomón, diciendo: ¿No has oído que reina Adonía hijo de Haggith, sin saberlo David nuestro señor?

Wherefore Nathan spake unto Bath-sheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Hast thou not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith doth reign, and David our lord knoweth it not?

Then Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, “Haven’t you heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and David our lord doesn’t know it?

Ahora, por lo tanto, déjame aconsejarte, para que puedas salvar tu propia vida y la vida de tu hijo Salomón.

Ven pues ahora, y toma mi consejo, para que guardes tu vida, y la vida de tu hijo Salomón.

Now therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel, that thou mayest save thine own life, and the life of thy son Solomon.

Now therefore come, please let me give you counsel, that you may save your own life and your son Solomon’s life.

Ve al rey David; y dile: 'Mi amo el rey, ¿acaso no juraste a tu sierva, diciendo: "Ciertamente Salomón, tu hijo, reinará después de mí, y se sentará en mi trono?" ¿Por qué entonces Adonías está reinando?'

Ve, y entra al rey David, y dile: Rey señor mío, ¿no has tú jurado á tu sierva, diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono? ¿por qué pues reina Adonía?

Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?

Go in to King David, and tell him, ‘Didn’t you, my lord the king, swear to your servant, saying, “Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then does Adonijah reign?’

Mientras tú estés ahí hablando con el rey, yo entraré después de ti y asegurar[e que tus palabras son verdad."

Y estando tú aún hablando con el rey, yo entraré tras ti, y acabaré tus razones.

Behold, while thou yet talkest there with the king, I also will come in after thee, and confirm thy words.

Behold, while you are still talking there with the king, I will also come in after you and confirm your words.”

Entonces Betsabé entró en el cuarto del rey. El rey era muy viejo, y Abisag la sunamita estaba sirviendo al rey.

Entonces Bath-sheba entró al rey á la cámara: y el rey era muy viejo; y Abisag Sunamita servía al rey.

And Bath-sheba went in unto the king into the chamber: and the king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite ministered unto the king.

Bathsheba went in to the king in his room. The king was very old; and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.

Betsabé se inclinó y se postró ante el rey. Y el rey dijo: "¿Qué deseas?"

Y Bath-sheba se inclinó, é hizo reverencia al rey. Y el rey dijo: ¿Qué tienes?

And Bath-sheba bowed, and did obeisance unto the king. And the king said, What wouldest thou?

Bathsheba bowed and showed respect to the king. The king said, “What would you like?”

Ella le dijo a él: "Mi amo, tú juraste a tu sierva por el SEÑOR tu Dios, diciendo: 'Ciertamente Salomón, tu hijo, va a reinar después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono.'

Y ella le respondió: Señor mío, tú juraste á tu sierva por Jehová tu Dios, diciendo: Salomón tu hijo reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono;

And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the LORD thy God unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.

She said to him, “My lord, you swore by the LORD your God to your servant, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’

Ahora, mira, Adonías es rey, y tú, mi amo el rey, no lo sabes.

Y he aquí ahora Adonía reina: y tú, mi señor rey, ahora no lo supiste.

And now, behold, Adonijah reigneth; and now, my lord the king, thou knowest it not:

Now, behold, Adonijah reigns; and you, my lord the king, don’t know it.

Él ha sacrificado bueyes, becerros engordados, y ovejas en abundancia, y ha invitado a todos los hijos del rey, a Abiatar el sacerdote y a Joab el capitán del ejército, pero no ha invitado a Salomón tu siervo.

Ha matado bueyes, y animales engordados, y muchas ovejas, y ha convidado á todos los hijos del rey, y á Abiathar sacerdote, y á Joab general del ejército; mas á Salomón tu siervo no ha convidado.

And he hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the sons of the king, and Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the host: but Solomon thy servant hath he not called.

He has slain cattle and fatlings and sheep in abundance, and has called all the sons of the king, Abiathar the priest, and Joab the captain of the army; but he hasn’t called Solomon your servant.

Mi amo el rey, los ojos de todo Israel están en ti, esperando para que tú les digas a ellos quién se sentará en el trono después de ti, mi amo.

Entre tanto, rey señor mío, los ojos de todo Israel están sobre ti, para que les declares quién se ha de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él.

And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

You, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, that you should tell them who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

Si no, pasará que cuando mi amo el rey muera mi hijo Salomón y yo seremos tratados como criminales.

De otra suerte acontecerá, cuando mi señor el rey durmiere con sus padres, que yo y mi hijo Salomón seremos tenidos por culpables.

Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.

Otherwise it will happen, when my lord the king sleeps with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be considered criminals.”

Mientras ella todavía hablaba con el rey, Natán el profeta entró.

Y estando aún hablando ella con el rey, he aquí Nathán profeta, que vino.

And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.

Behold, while she was still talking with the king, Nathan the prophet came in.

Los sirvientes le dijeron al rey: "Natán el profeta está aquí." Cuando él entró ante el rey, se postró ante el rey con su rostro hasta el suelo.

Y dieron aviso al rey, diciendo: He aquí Nathán profeta: el cual como entró al rey, postróse delante del rey inclinando su rostro á tierra.

And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

They told the king, saying, “Behold, Nathan the prophet!” When he had come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

Natán dijo: "Mi amo el rey, ¿has dicho: 'Adonías reinará después de mi, y él se sentará en mi trono?'

Y dijo Nathán: Rey señor mío, ¿has tú dicho: Adonía reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono?

And Nathan said, My lord, O king, hast thou said, Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne?

Nathan said, “My lord, King, have you said, ‘Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne’?

Porque él ha bajado hoy y sacrificado bueyes, becerros engordados, y ovejas en abundancia, y ha invitado a todos los hijos del rey, a los capitanes del ejército, y a Abiatar el sacerdote. Ellos están comiendo y bebiendo ante él, y diciendo: '! Larga vida al rey Adonías!'

Porque hoy ha descendido, y ha matado bueyes, y animales engordados, y muchas ovejas, y ha convidado á todos los hijos del rey, y á los capitanes del ejército, y también á Abiathar sacerdote; y he aquí, están comiendo y bebiendo delante de él, y han dicho: ¡Viva el rey Adonía!

For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king’s sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.

For he has gone down today, and has slain cattle, fatlings, and sheep in abundance, and has called all the king’s sons, the captains of the army, and Abiathar the priest. Behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and saying, ‘Long live King Adonijah!’

Pero a mí, tu siervo, a Sadoc el sacerdote, a Benaía, hijo de Jodaía, y a tu siervo Salomón, él no nos ha invitado.

Mas ni á mí tu siervo, ni á Sadoc sacerdote, ni á Benaía hijo de Joiada, ni á Salomón tu siervo, ha convidado.

But me, even me thy servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and thy servant Solomon, hath he not called.

But he hasn’t called me, even me your servant, Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon.

¿Mi amo el rey ha hecho esto sin decirnos a nosotros, tus siervos, quién debería sentarse en el trono después de él?"

¿Es este negocio ordenado por mi señor el rey, sin haber declarado á tu siervo quién se había de sentar en el trono de mi señor el rey después de él?

Is this thing done by my lord the king, and thou hast not shewed it unto thy servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?

Was this thing done by my lord the king, and you haven’t shown to your servants who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?”

Entonces el rey David respondió y dijo: "Llama a Betsabé de regreso a mí." Ella vino a la presencia del rey y se paró ante el rey.

Entonces el rey David respondió, y dijo: Llamadme á Bath-sheba. Y ella entró á la presencia del rey, y púsose delante del rey.

Then king David answered and said, Call me Bath-sheba. And she came into the king’s presence, and stood before the king.

Then King David answered, “Call Bathsheba in to me.” She came into the king’s presence and stood before the king.

El rey hizo un juramento y dijo: "Así como vive el SEÑOR, Quién me ha redimido de todo problema,

Y el rey juró, diciendo: Vive Jehová, que ha redimido mi alma de toda angustia,

And the king sware, and said, As the LORD liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress,

The king vowed and said, “As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

y como te prometí por el SEÑOR, Dios de Israel, diciendo: 'Salomón tu hijo reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono en mi lugar,' yo haré esto hoy."

Que como yo te he jurado por Jehová Dios de Israel, diciendo: Tu hijo Salomón reinará después de mí, y él se sentará en mi trono en lugar mío; que así lo haré hoy.

Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.

most certainly as I swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel, saying, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place;’ I will most certainly do this today.”

Entonces Betsabé se inclinó con su rostro al suelo y se postró a sí misma ante el rey y dijo: "¡Que mi amo, el rey David, viva para siempre!"

Entonces Bath-sheba se inclinó al rey, su rostro á tierra, y haciendo reverencia al rey, dijo: Viva mi señor el rey David para siempre.

Then Bath-sheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord king David live for ever.

Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth and showed respect to the king, and said, “Let my lord King David live forever!”

El rey David dijo: "Llámame a Sadoc el sacerdote, a Natán el profeta, y a Benaía, hijo de Joíada." Entonces ellos vinieron ante el rey.

Y el rey David dijo: Llamadme á Sadoc sacerdote, y á Nathán profeta, y á Benaía hijo de Joiada. Y ellos entraron á la presencia del rey.

And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.

King David said, “Call to me Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada.” They came before the king.

El rey les dijo: "Lleven con ustedes a los sirvientes de su amo, y hagan que Salomón mi hijo monte en mi mula y llévenlo abajo a Gihón.

Y el rey les dijo: Tomad con vosotros los siervos de vuestro señor, y haced subir á Salomón mi hijo en mi mula, y llevadlo á Gihón:

The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to Gihon:

The king said to them, “Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride on my own mule, and bring him down to Gihon.

Déjen a Sadoc el sacerdote y a Natán el profeta ungirlo rey sobre Israel, y suenen la trompeta, y digan: '¡Larga vida al rey Salomón!'

Y allí lo ungirán Sadoc sacerdote y Nathán profeta por rey sobre Israel; y tocaréis trompeta, diciendo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!

And let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel: and blow ye with the trumpet, and say, God save king Solomon.

Let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him there king over Israel. Blow the trumpet, and say, ‘Long live King Solomon!’

Entonces ustedes vendrán detrás de él, y él vendrá y se sentará en mi trono; porque él será rey en mi lugar. Yo lo he nombrado para ser gobernante sobre Israel y Judá."

Después iréis vosotros detrás de él, y vendrá y se sentará en mi trono, y él reinará por mí; porque á él he ordenado para que sea príncipe sobre Israel y sobre Judá.

Then ye shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my stead: and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.

Then come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne; for he shall be king in my place. I have appointed him to be prince over Israel and over Judah.”

Benaía, hijo de Joíada respondió al rey y dijo: "¡Que así sea! Que el SEÑOR, el Dios de mi amo y rey, lo confirme.

Entonces Benaía hijo de Joiada respondió al rey, y dijo: Amén. Así lo diga Jehová, Dios de mi señor el rey.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, Amen: the LORD God of my lord the king say so too.

Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king, and said, “Amen. May the LORD, the God of my lord the king, say so.

Como el SEÑOR ha estado con mi amo el rey, así también esté con Salomón, y que haga su trono más grande que el trono de mi amo, el rey David."

De la manera que Jehová ha sido con mi señor el rey, así sea con Salomón; y él haga mayor su trono que el trono de mi señor el rey David.

As the LORD hath been with my lord the king, even so be he with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord king David.

As the LORD has been with my lord the king, even so may he be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.”

Entonces Sadoc el sacerdote, Natán el profeta, Benaía, el hijo de Joíada, y los cereteos y los peleteos bajaron con Salomón montado sobre la mula del rey David; y lo trajeron a Gihón.

Y descendió Sadoc sacerdote, y Nathán profeta, y Benaía hijo de Joiada, y los Ceretheos y los Peletheos, é hicieron subir á Salomón en la mula del rey David, y lleváronlo á Gihón.

So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.

So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David’s mule, and brought him to Gihon.

Sadoc el sacerdote sacó el cuerno de aceite fuera de la tienda y ungió a Salomón. Entonces ellos sonaron la trompeta, y toda la gente dijo: "¡Larga vida al rey Salomón!"

Y tomando Sadoc sacerdote el cuerno del aceite del tabernáculo, ungió á Salomón: y tocaron trompeta, y dijo todo el pueblo: ¡Viva el rey Salomón!

And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon.

Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the Tent, and anointed Solomon. They blew the trumpet; and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!”

Entonces todo el pueblo subió tras él, y la gente tocó flautas y se regocijaron con gran alegría, tanto que la tierra tembló con el estruendo.

Después subió todo el pueblo en pos de él, y cantaba la gente con flautas, y hacían grandes alegrías, que parecía que la tierra se hundía con el clamor de ellos.

And all the people came up after him, and the people piped with pipes, and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth rent with the sound of them.

Adonías y todos los invitados que estaban con él, lo escucharon cuando terminaban de comer. Cuando Joab escuchó el sonido de la trompeta, él dijo: "¿Por qué hay escándalo en la ciudad?"

Y oyólo Adonía, y todos los convidados que con él estaban, cuando ya habían acabado de comer. Y oyendo Joab el sonido de la trompeta, dijo: ¿Por qué se alborota la ciudad con estruendo?

And Adonijah and all the guests that were with him heard it as they had made an end of eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, Wherefore is this noise of the city being in an uproar?

Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they had finished eating. When Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, “Why is this noise of the city being in an uproar?”

Mientras él estaba todavía hablando, Jonatán, hijo de Abiatar el sacerdote, vino. Adonías dijo: "Entra, porque eres un hombre honesto y traes buenas noticias."

Estando aún él hablando, he aquí Jonathán hijo de Abiathar sacerdote vino, al cual dijo Adonía: Entra, porque tú eres hombre de esfuerzo, y traerás buenas nuevas.

And while he yet spake, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came: and Adonijah said unto him, Come in; for thou art a valiant man, and bringest good tidings.

While he yet spoke, behold, Jonathan the son of Abiathar the priest came; and Adonijah said, “Come in; for you are a worthy man, and bring good news.”

Jonatán respondió y dijo a Adonías: "Nuestro amo, el rey David, ha hecho rey a Salomón.

Y Jonathán respondió, y dijo á Adonía: Ciertamente nuestro señor el rey David ha hecho rey á Salomón:

And Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, Verily our lord king David hath made Solomon king.

Jonathan answered Adonijah, “Most certainly our lord King David has made Solomon king.

Y el rey ha enviado con él a Sadoc el sacerdote, a Natán el profeta, a Benaía, hijo de Joíada, y a los cereteos y a los pereteos. Ellos tuvieron a Salomón montado en la mula del rey.

Y el rey ha enviado con él á Sadoc sacerdote y á Nathán profeta, y á Benaía hijo de Joiada, y también á los Ceretheos y á los Peletheos, los cuales le hicieron subir en la mula del rey;

And the king hath sent with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, and they have caused him to ride upon the king’s mule:

Sadoc el sacerdote y Natán el profeta, poniéndole aceite lo han nombrado rey en Gihón, y han venido desde allí regocijándose, por eso hay un escándalo en la ciudad. Este es el sonido que ustedes han escuchado.

Y Sadoc sacerdote y Nathán profeta lo han ungido en Gihón por rey: y de allá han subido con alegrías, y la ciudad está llena de estruendo. Este es el alboroto que habéis oído.

Aún más, los sirvientes del rey vinieron a bendecir a nuestro amo, el rey David, diciendo: 'Que tu Dios haga el nombre de Salomón mejor que tu nombre, y que haga su trono más grande que tu trono.' Y el rey se inclinó en la cama.

Y aun los siervos del rey han venido á bendecir á nuestro señor el rey David, diciendo: Dios haga bueno el nombre de Salomón más que tu nombre, y haga mayor su trono que el tuyo. Y el rey adoró en la cama.

And moreover the king’s servants came to bless our lord king David, saying, God make the name of Solomon better than thy name, and make his throne greater than thy throne. And the king bowed himself upon the bed.

Entonces todos los invitados de Adonías estaban aterrorizados. Ellos se levantaron y cada hombre se fue por su camino.

And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

Entonces, le fue dicho a Salomón, diciendo: "Mira, Adonías tiene miedo del rey Salomón, porque él ha agarrado los cuernos del altar, diciendo: 'Dejen al rey Salomón primero jurarme que él no matará a su siervo con la espada."

Y fué hecho saber á Salomón, diciendo: He aquí que Adonía tiene miedo del rey Salomón: pues ha cogido los cornijales del altar, diciendo: Júreme hoy el rey Salomón que no matará á cuchillo á su siervo.

And it was told Solomon, saying, Behold, Adonijah feareth king Solomon: for, lo, he hath caught hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let king Solomon swear unto me to day that he will not slay his servant with the sword.

Solomon was told, “Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon; for, behold, he is hanging onto the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon swear to me first that he will not kill his servant with the sword.’”

Salomón dijo: "Si él se muestra como un hombre confiable, ni un cabello suyo caerá en la tierra, pero si se encuentra en él maldad, él morirá."

Y Salomón dijo: Si él fuere virtuoso, ni uno de sus cabellos caerá en tierra: mas si se hallare mal en él, morirá.

And Solomon said, If he will shew himself a worthy man, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.

Solomon said, “If he shows himself a worthy man, not a hair of his shall fall to the earth; but if wickedness is found in him, he shall die.”

Entonces el rey Salomón envió hombres, quienes trajeron a Adonías bajándolo del altar. Él vino y se inclinó ante el rey Salomón, y Salomón le dijo: "Vete a tu casa."

So king Solomon sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to thine house.
