13Va et entre chez le Roi David et lui dis : N'as-tu pas, ô Roi, mon Seigneur, fait à ta servante un serment et cette déclaration : Salomon, ton fils, sera Roi après moi, et il s'assiéra sur mon trône ? Pourquoi donc Adonia est-il Roi ?

13Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?

13Go in to King David, and tell him, ‘Didn’t you, my lord the king, swear to your servant, saying, “Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then does Adonijah reign?’
