26Da nahmen sie den Stier, dessen Wahl er ihnen freigestellt hatte, richteten ihn zu und riefen den Namen Baals vom Morgen bis zum Mittag an, indem sie riefen: »Baal, erhöre uns!«, aber es erfolgte kein Laut, und niemand antwortete. Dabei tanzten sie um den Altar herum, den sie errichtet hatten.
