21Da trat Elia vor das gesamte Volk hin und sagte: »Wie lange wollt ihr nach beiden Seiten hinken? Wenn der HERR Gott ist, so haltet euch zu ihm; ist es aber der Baal, so folgt diesem nach!« Aber das Volk antwortete ihm kein Wort.

21And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

21Elijah came near to all the people, and said, “How long will you waver between the two sides? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” The people didn’t say a word.
