Ahora, el Rey Salomón amaba a muchas mujeres extranjeras: la hija del faraón y mujeres de los moabitas, amonitas, edomitas, sidonitas, e hititas-

EMPERO el rey Salomón amó, á más de la hija de Faraón, muchas mujeres extranjeras: á las de Moab, á las de Ammón, á las de Idumea, á las de Sidón, y á las Hetheas;

But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites;

naciones sobre las cuales el SEÑOR le había dicho al pueblo de Israel: "Ustedes no irán y se casarán con ellas, tampoco ellas vendrán a ti, porque ciertamente tornarán tu corazón hacia sus dioses," Pero Salomón amó estas mujeres.

Gentes de las cuales Jehová había dicho á los hijos de Israel: No entraréis á ellas, ni ellas entrarán á vosotros; porque ciertamente harán inclinar vuestros corazones tras sus dioses. A éstas pues se juntó Salomón con amor.

Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

Salomón se hizo viejo, sus esposas volvieron su corazón hacia otros dioses; pues su corazón no estaba completamente rendido al SEÑOR su Dios, como estuvo el corazón de su padre David.

Y ya que Salomón era viejo, sus mujeres inclinaron su corazón tras dioses ajenos; y su corazón no era perfecto con Jehová su Dios, como el corazón de su padre David.

For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

Entonces Salomón construyó un lugar alto para Quemos, el detestable ídolo de Moab, en las colinas al este de Jerusalén, y también para Moloc, el detestable ídolo de la gente de Amón.

Entonces edificó Salomón un alto á Chêmos, abominación de Moab, en el monte que está enfrente de Jerusalem; y á Moloch, abominación de los hijos de Ammón.

Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

Él también construyó lugares altos para todas sus esposas extranjeras, quienes quemaban incienso y hacían sacrificios a sus dioses en ellos.

And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

El SEÑOR estaba enojado con Salomón, porque su corazón se había alejado de Él, el Dios de Israel, aún cuando Él se le había aparecido dos veces

Y enojóse Jehová contra Salomón, por cuanto estaba su corazón desviado de Jehová Dios de Israel, que le había aparecido dos veces,

And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,

y le había ordenado acerca de esto, que no debía ir tras otros dioses. Pero Salomón no obedeció lo que El SEÑOR le ordenó.

Y le había mandado acerca de esto, que no siguiese dioses ajenos: mas él no guardó lo que le mandó Jehová.

And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

Por lo tanto El SEÑOR le dijo a Salomón: "Porque has hecho ésto y no has guardado mi pacto y mis estatutos que te he ordenado, Yo romperé tu reinado y lo daré a tu siervo.

Y dijo Jehová á Salomón: Por cuanto ha habido esto en ti, y no has guardado mi pacto y mis estatutos que yo te mandé, romperé el reino de ti, y lo entregaré á tu siervo.

Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

Therefore the LORD said to Solomon, “Because this is done by you, and you have not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.

Sin embargo, por causa de tu padre David, no lo romperé en tu tiempo, pero lo arrancaré de la mano de tu hijo.

Empero no lo haré en tus días, por amor de David tu padre: romperélo de la mano de tu hijo.

Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father’s sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

Nevertheless, I will not do it in your days, for David your father’s sake; but I will tear it out of your son’s hand.

Aún así no romperé todo el reino; le daré una tribu a tu hijo por causa de David mi siervo, y por causa de Jerusalén, la cual he escogido."

Sin embargo no romperé todo el reino, sino que daré una tribu á tu hijo, por amor de David mi siervo, y por amor de Jerusalem que yo he elegido.

Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.

However, I will not tear away all the kingdom; but I will give one tribe to your son, for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.”

Entonces, El SEÑOR levantó un adversario a Salomón, Hadad el edomita. El era de la familia real de Edom.

Y Jehová suscitó un adversario á Salomón, á Adad, Idumeo, de la sangre real, el cual estaba en Edom.

And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king’s seed in Edom.

The LORD raised up an adversary to Solomon: Hadad the Edomite. He was one of the king’s offspring in Edom.

Cuando David estuvo en Edom, Joab el capitán del ejército salió a enterrar a los muertos, todos los hombres que fueron muertos en Edom.

Porque cuando David estaba en Edom, y subió Joab el general del ejército á enterrar los muertos, y mató á todos los varones de Edom,

For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom;

Joab y todo Israel habitaron ahí por seis meses hasta que mataron a todo varón en Edom.

(Porque seis meses habitó allí Joab, y todo Israel, hasta que hubo acabado á todo el sexo masculino en Edom;)

Pero Hadad fue sacado con otros edomitas por los siervos de su padre a Egipto, ya que Hadad era aún un niño pequeño.

Entonces huyó Adad, y con él algunos varones Idumeos de los siervos de su padre, y fuése á Egipto; era entonces Adad muchacho pequeño.

Hadad encontró gran favor a la vista de Faraón, así que Faraón le dió una esposa, la hermana de su esposa, la hermana de la reina Tahpenes.

And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.

La hermana de Tahpenes dio a luz al hijo de Hadad. Le llamaron Genubat. Tahpenes lo crió en el palacio del Faraón. Así que, Genubat vivió en el palacio del Faraón entre los hijos del Faraón.

Y la hermana de Thaphnes le parió á su hijo Genubath, al cual destetó Thaphnes dentro de la casa de Faraón; y estaba Genubath en casa de Faraón entre los hijos de Faraón.

And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh’s house: and Genubath was in Pharaoh’s household among the sons of Pharaoh.

Mientras estaba en Egipto, Hadad escuchó que David había muerto y que Joab el capitán de sus ejércitos había muerto, Hadad le dijo a Faraón:" Déjame partir, así iré a mi propio pueblo."

Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.

Then Pharaoh said to him, “But what have you lacked with me, that behold, you seek to go to your own country?” He answered, “Nothing, however only let me depart.”

Dios también levantó otro adversario para Salomón, Rezón hijo de Eliada, quién había huído de su señor Hadad Ezer, rey de Soba.

Despertóle también Dios por adversario á Rezón, hijo de Eliada, el cual había huído de su amo Adad-ezer, rey de Soba.

And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, which fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:

God raised up an adversary to him, Rezon the son of Eliada, who had fled from his lord, Hadadezer king of Zobah.

Rezón reunió gente y se hizo capitán sobre un pequeño grupo, cuando David derrotó los hombres de Sobá. Los hombres de Rezón fueron a Damasco y vivían allí, y Rezón controlaba Damasco.

Y había juntado gente contra él, y habíase hecho capitán de una compañía, cuando David deshizo á los de Soba. Después se fueron á Damasco, y habitaron allí, é hiciéronle rey en Damasco.

And he gathered men unto him, and became captain over a band, when David slew them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.

Él era un enemigo de Israel en los días de Salomón, junto con los problemas que Hadad causó. Rezón aborrecía a Israel y reinaba sobre Aram.

Y fué adversario á Israel todos los días de Salomón; y fué otro mal con el de Adad, porque aborreció á Israel, y reinó sobre la Siria.

And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.

Entonces Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, efrateo de Sereda, oficial de Salomón, cuya madre se llamaba Zerúa y era viuda, levantó su mano contra el rey.

Asimismo Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, Ephrateo de Sereda, siervo de Salomón, (su madre se llamaba Serva, mujer viuda) alzó su mano contra el rey.

And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon’s servant, whose mother’s name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against the king.

La razón por la cual levantó su mano contra el rey fue porque Salomón construyó el lugar en Milo y cerró la brecha en la pared del muro de la ciudad de David su padre.

Y la causa por qué éste alzó mano contra el rey, fué esta: Salomón edificando á Millo, cerró el portillo de la ciudad de David su padre.

And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.

Jeroboam era un poderoso hombre de valor. Salomón vio que el joven era trabajador, le dió el comando sobre la casa de José.

Y el varón Jeroboam era valiente y esforzado; y viendo Salomón al mancebo que era hombre activo, encomendóle todo el cargo de la casa de José.

And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.

En ese tiempo cuando Jeroboam salió de Jerusalén, el profeta Ahías el silonita lo encontró en el camino. Ahías se había vestido con una ropa nueva y los dos hombres estaban solos en el campo.

Aconteció pues en aquel tiempo, que saliendo Jeroboam de Jerusalem, topóle en el camino el profeta Ahías Silonita; y él estaba cubierto con una capa nueva; y estaban ellos dos solos en el campo.

And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:

Él le dijo a Jeroboam:" Toma diez piezas, porque el SEÑOR, el Dios de Israel, dice:' Mira, Yo arrancaré el reino de la mano de Salomón y Yo te daré diez tribus a ti

Y dijo á Jeroboam: Toma para ti los diez pedazos; porque así dijo Jehová Dios de Israel: He aquí que yo rompo el reino de la mano de Salomón, y á ti daré diez tribus;

And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:

pero Salomón tendrá una tribu, por amor a David mi siervo y por amor a Jerusalén- la ciudad que Yo he escogido de todas las tribus de Israel,

(Y él tendrá una tribu, por amor de David mi siervo, y por amor de Jerusalem, ciudad que yo he elegido de todas las tribus de Israel:)

(But he shall have one tribe for my servant David’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)

porque ellos me han abandonado y han adorado a Astoret, la diosa de los sidonios, a Quemos el dios de Moab, y Milcom el dios del pueblo de Amón. Ellos no han caminado en mis caminos, para hacer lo que es correcto ante mis ojos, y para guardar mis estatutos y decretos, como hizo David su padre.

Empero no quitaré nada de su reino de sus manos, sino que lo retendré por caudillo todos los días de su vida, por amor de David mi siervo, al cual yo elegí, y él guardó mis mandamientos y mis estatutos:

Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:

“‘However, I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake whom I chose, who kept my commandments and my statutes,

Pero quitaré el reinado de las manos de sus hijos y te daré a ti, diez tribus.

Mas yo quitaré el reino de la mano de su hijo, y darélo á ti, las diez tribus.

But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.

Yo le daré una tribu al hijo de Salomón, de modo que mi siervo David siempre tenga una lámpara ante mí en Jerusalén, la ciudad que he escogido para poner mi nombre.

Y á su hijo daré una tribu, para que mi siervo David tenga lámpara todos los días delante de mí en Jerusalem, ciudad que yo me elegí para poner en ella mi nombre.

And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.

Y te tomaré, y reinarás para cumplir todo lo que desees, y serás rey sobre todo Israel.

And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.

Si escuchas todo lo que te mando, y si caminas en mis caminos y haces lo que es correcto ante mis ojos, para mantener mis estatutos y mis mandamientos, como David mi siervo hizo, entonces estaré contigo y construiré una casa segura, así como la construí para David, y te daré a Israel.

Y será que, si prestares oído á todas las cosas que te mandare, y anduvieres en mis caminos, é hicieres lo recto delante de mis ojos, guardando mis estatutos y mis mandamientos, como hizo David mi siervo, yo seré contigo, y te edificaré casa firme, como la edifiqué á David, y yo te entregaré á Israel.

And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.

It shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do that which is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did, that I will be with you, and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

Yo castigaré los descendientes de David, pero no para siempre."

Y yo afligiré la simiente de David á causa de esto, mas no para siempre.

And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.

Así que Salomón trató de matar a Jeroboam. Pero Jeroboam se levantó y huyó a Egipto, a Sicac rey de Egipto, y él permaneció en Egipto hasta la muerte de Salomón.

Procuró por tanto Salomón de matar á Jeroboam, pero levantándose Jeroboam, huyó á Egipto, á Sisac rey de Egipto, y estuvo en Egipto hasta la muerte de Salomón.

Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.

En cuanto a los demás hechos relacionados a Salomón, todo lo que él hizo y su sabiduría, ¿No están todos escritos en el Libro de los Hechos de Salomón?

Salomón reinó en Jerusalén sobre todo Israel por cuarenta años.
