Quello, che fu da principio, quello, che udimmo, quello, che vedemmo cogli occhi nostri, e contemplammo, e colle nostre mani palpammo di quel Verbo di vita:

LO que era desde el principio, lo que hemos oído, lo que hemos visto con nuestros ojos, lo que hemos mirado, y palparon nuestras manos tocante al Verbo de vida;

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life

E la vita si è manifestala, e vedemmo, e attestiamo, annunziamo a voi la vita eterna, la quale era appresso al Padre, e apparve a noi:

(Porque la vida fué manifestada, y vimos, y testificamos, y os anunciamos aquella vida eterna, la cual estaba con el Padre, y nos ha aparecido;)

(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

(and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us);

Quello, che vedemmo, e udimmo. Io annunziamo a voi, affinchè voi pure abbiate società con noi, e la nostra società sia col Padre, e col Figliuolo di lui Gesù Cristo.

Lo que hemos visto y oído, eso os anunciamos, para que también vosotros tengáis comunión con nosotros: y nuestra comunión verdaderamente es con el Padre, y con su Hijo Jesucristo.

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

E queste cose scriviamo a voi, affinchè ne godiate, e il gaudio vostro sia compiuto.

Y estas cosas os escribimos, para que vuestro gozo sea cumplido.

And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

And we write these things to you, that our joy may be fulfilled.

Questo è adunque l'annunzio, che abbiamo udito da lui, e lo facciam sapere a voi che Dio è luce, né vi son tenebre in lui.

Y este es el mensaje que oímos de él, y os anunciamos: Que Dios es luz, y en él no hay ningunas tinieblas.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Se diremo d'aver società con lui, e camminerem nelle tenebre, diciamo bugia, e non siamo veraci.

Si nosotros dijéremos que tenemos comunión con él, y andamos en tinieblas, mentimos, y no hacemos la verdad;

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth.

Che se camminiam nella luce, com' anch'egli sta nella luce, abbiam società scambievole con esso, e il sangue di Gesù Cristo suo Figliuolo ci purga da ogni peccato.

Mas si andamos en luz, como él está en luz, tenemos comunión entre nosotros, y la sangre de Jesucristo su Hijo nos limpia de todo pecado.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Se diremo, che non abbiam colpa, noi inganniamo noi stessi, e non è in noi verità.

Si dijéremos que no tenemos pecado, nos engañamos á nosotros mismos, y no hay verdad en nosotros.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Se confessiamo i nostri peccati: egli è fedele, e giusto per rimetterci i nostri peccati, e mondarci da ogni iniquità.

Si confesamos nuestros pecados, él es fiel y justo para que nos perdone nuestros pecados, y nos limpie de toda maldad.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Se diremo, che non abbiamo peccato: facciamo bugiardo lui, e la sua parola non è in noi. Gesù Cristo è nostro avvocato presso del Padre, e propiziazione pe' peccati di tutto il mondo. Coll'osservanza de' comandamenti di Dio si dimostra la cognizione, e l'amore di Dio. Quale sia il vecchio, e nuovo comandamento; chi sia nella luce, chi nelle tenebre; scrive a varie etadi, esortandole a non amare il mondo, e fuggire gli eretici, e a conservare la fede una volta abbracciata, seguendo la condotta dello Spirito santo.

Si dijéremos que no hemos pecado, lo hacemos á él mentiroso, y su palabra no está en nosotros.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
