1 Corintios 8

Quant aux viandes sacrifiées aux idoles, nous savons que tous nous possédons la connaissance. —

Y POR lo que hace á lo sacrificado á los ídolos, sabemos que todos tenemos ciencia. La ciencia hincha, mas la caridad edifica.

Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

La connaissance inspire l'orgueil, tandis que la charité édifie ; si quelqu'un s'imagine avoir connu quelque chose, il n'a pas encore connu comme il faut connaître ;

Y si alguno se imagina que sabe algo, aun no sabe nada como debe saber.

And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.

mais si quelqu'un aime Dieu, il est connu de Lui. —

Mas si alguno ama á Dios, el tal es conocido de él.

But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

But anyone who loves God is known by him.

En ce qui concerne donc la manducation des viandes sacrifiées aux idoles, nous savons qu'il n'existe point d'idoles dans le monde, et qu'il n'existe point de Dieu, qu'Un Seul.

Acerca, pues, de las viandas que son sacrificadas á los ídolos, sabemos que el ídolo nada es en el mundo, y que no hay más de un Dios.

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

Et, en effet, quand bien même il existe de soi-disant dieux, soit au ciel, soit sur la terre, comme effectivement il existe plusieurs dieux et plusieurs seigneurs,

Porque aunque haya algunos que se llamen dioses, ó en el cielo, ó en la tierra (como hay muchos dioses y muchos señores),

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

For though there are things that are called “gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth—as there are many “gods” and many “lords”—

pour nous, nous n'avons qu'un seul Dieu, le Père par lequel existent toutes choses, et nous-mêmes pour Lui, et un seul seigneur, Jésus-Christ, à cause duquel toutes choses existent, et nous-mêmes par lui.

Nosotros empero no tenemos más de un Dios, el Padre, del cual son todas las cosas, y nosotros en él: y un Señor Jesucristo, por el cual son todas las cosas, y nosotros por él.

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

Or la connaissance n'est pas le partage de tous, mais quelques-uns, par l'habitude qu'ils ont encore de l'idole, croient manger une viande sacrifiée à une idole, et leur conscience qui est faible en est souillée.

Mas no en todos hay esta ciencia: porque algunos con conciencia del ídolo hasta aquí, comen como sacrificado á ídolos; y su conciencia, siendo flaca, es contaminada.

Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of an idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.

Mais ce n'est pas un aliment qui déterminera notre place devant Dieu : si nous ne mangeons pas, nous n'avons nul désavantage, et, si nous mangeons, nous n'avons nulle supériorité.

Si bien la vianda no nos hace más aceptos á Dios: porque ni que comamos, seremos más ricos; ni que no comamos, seremos más pobres.

But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we don’t eat are we the worse, nor if we eat are we the better.

Toutefois, prenez garde que cette liberté qui vous appartient ne devienne pas une cause d'achoppement pour ceux qui sont faibles.

Mas mirad que esta vuestra libertad no sea tropezadero á los que son flacos.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.

En effet, si l'un d'eux voit celui qui possède la connaissance à table dans un temple idolâtre, est-ce que sa conscience, puisqu'il est faible, n'en sera pas édifiée au point de lui faire manger les viandes sacrifiées aux idoles ?

Porque si te ve alguno, á ti que tienes ciencia, que estás sentado á la mesa en el lugar de los ídolos, ¿la conciencia de aquel que es flaco, no será adelantada á comer de lo sacrificado á los ídolos?

For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?

C'est en effet par la connaissance que périt celui qui est faible, le frère pour lequel Christ est mort.

Y por tu ciencia se perderá el hermano flaco por el cual Cristo murió.

And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Christ died.

Mais en péchant ainsi contre vos frères, et en blessant leur conscience faible, vous péchez contre Christ.

De esta manera, pues, pecando contra los hermanos, é hiriendo su flaca conciencia, contra Cristo pecáis.

But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.

C'est pourquoi, si un aliment scandalise mon frère, je ne mangerai certainement jamais de viande, afin de ne pas scandaliser mon frère.

Por lo cual, si la comida es á mi hermano ocasión de caer, jamás comeré carne por no escandalizar á mi hermano.

Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble.
