1 Corintios 7

Ahora respecto a los asuntos que ustedes me escribieron: "Es bueno para un hombre no tocar a una mujer."

CUANTO á las cosas de que me escribisteis, bien es al hombre no tocar mujer.

Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman.

Pero por causa de las tentaciones por muchos actos inmorales, cada hombre debe tener su propia esposa, y cada mujer debe tener su propio esposo.

Mas á causa de las fornicaciones, cada uno tenga su mujer, y cada una tenga su marido.

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

El esposo debe dar a la esposa sus derechos conyugales, e igualmente la esposa a su esposo.

El marido pague á la mujer la debida benevolencia; y asimismo la mujer al marido.

Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

Let the husband give his wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife her husband.

No es la esposa quien tiene autoridad sobre su propio cuerpo, es el esposo. De igual manera, el esposo no tiene autoridad sobre su propio cuerpo, pero la esposa sí.

La mujer no tiene potestad de su propio cuerpo, sino el marido: é igualmente tampoco el marido tiene potestad de su propio cuerpo, sino la mujer.

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

The wife doesn’t have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise also the husband doesn’t have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

No se priven cada uno, excepto por acuerdo mutuo y por un periódo específico de tiempo. Hagan esto para que así ustedes puedan dedicarse ustedes mismos a la oración. Entonces ustedes deben unirse otra vez, de manera que Satanás no pueda tentarlos a ustedes por su falta de auto-control.

No os defraudéis el uno al otro, á no ser por algún tiempo de mutuo consentimiento, para ocuparos en la oración: y volved á juntaros en uno, porque no os tiente Satanás á causa de vuestra incontinencia.

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

Don’t deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn’t tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Pero yo digo estas cosas a ustedes como una concesión y no como un mandato.

Mas esto digo por permisión, no por mandamiento.

But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

But this I say by way of concession, not of commandment.

Yo deseo que todos fuesen como yo. Pero cada uno tiene su propio don de Dios. Uno tiene esta clase de don, y otro, otra clase.

Quisiera más bien que todos los hombres fuesen como yo: empero cada uno tiene su propio don de Dios; uno á la verdad así, y otro así.

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

Yet I wish that all men were like me. However, each man has his own gift from God, one of this kind, and another of that kind.

A los solteros y a las viudas, yo les digo que es bueno para ellos si ellos permanecen sin casarse, como yo.

Digo pues á los solteros y á las viudas, que bueno les es si se quedaren como yo.

I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

But I say to the unmarried and to widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am.

Pero si ellos no pueden ejercer el auto-control, ellos deben casarse. Pues es mejor para ellos casarse que quemarse con pasión.

Y si no tienen don de continencia, cásense; que mejor es casarse que quemarse.

But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

But if they don’t have self-control, let them marry. For it’s better to marry than to burn with passion.

Ahora, a los casados les doy este mandato, no yo, sino el Señor: "LA ESPOSA NO DEBE SEPARARSE DE SU ESPOSO."

Mas á los que están juntos en matrimonio, denuncio, no yo, sino el Señor: Que la mujer no se aparte del marido;

And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:

But to the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband

Pero si ella se separa de su esposo, ella debe permanecer sin casarse o de lo contrario reconciliarse con él. Y, "EL ESPOSO NO DEBE DIVORCIARSE DE SU ESPOSA."

Y si se apartare, que se quede sin casar, ó reconcíliese con su marido; y que el marido no despida á su mujer.

But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

(but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife.

Pero al resto yo les digo, yo, no el Señor, que si algún hermano tiene una esposa quien es incrédula y ella está contenta de vivir con él, él no debe divorciarse de ella.

Y á los demás yo digo, no el Señor: Si algún hermano tiene mujer infiel, y ella consiente en habitar con él, no la despida.

But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

But to the rest I—not the Lord—say, if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she is content to live with him, let him not leave her.

Si una mujer tiene un esposo incrédulo, y él está contento de vivir con ella, ella no debe divorciarse de él.

Y la mujer que tiene marido infiel, y él consiente en habitar con ella, no lo deje.

And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.

The woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he is content to live with her, let her not leave her husband.

Porque el esposo incrédulo es guardado por causa de su esposa, y una esposa incrédula es guardada por causa del hermano. De otra manera sus hijos serían inmundos, pero de hecho son guardados.

Porque el marido infiel es santificado en la mujer, y la mujer infiel en el marido: pues de otra manera vuestros hijos serían inmundos; empero ahora son santos.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

Pero si el compañero no cristiano se va, déjenlo ir. En esos casos, el hermano o la hermana no está atado a sus votos. Dios nos ha llamado a vivir en paz.

Pero si el infiel se aparta, apártese: que no es el hermano ó la hermana sujeto á servidumbre en semejante caso; antes á paz nos llamó Dios.

But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.

Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace.

Pues, ¿cómo sabes tú, mujer, si salvarás a tu esposo? O ¿cómo sabes tú, hombre, si tú salvarás a tu esposa?

Porque ¿de dónde sabes, oh mujer, si quizá harás salvo á tu marido? ¿ó de dónde sabes, oh marido, si quizá harás salva á tu mujer?

For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

Solo dejen a cada uno vivir la vida que el Señor le haya asignado, cada cual como Dios lo ha llamado. Esta es mi regla en todas las iglesias.

Empero cada uno como el Señor le repartió, y como Dios llamó á cada uno, así ande: y así enseño en todas las iglesias.

But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

Only, as the Lord has distributed to each man, as God has called each, so let him walk. So I command in all the assemblies.

¿Fue alguien circuncidado cuando fue llamado a creer? Él no debe tratar de aparentar incircuncisión. ¿Fue alguno incircunciso cuando fue llamado a la fe? Él no debería tratar de ser circuncidado.

¿Es llamado alguno circuncidado? quédese circunciso. ¿Es llamado alguno incircuncidado? que no se circuncide.

Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

Was anyone called having been circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised.

Pues no es la circuncisión ni la incircuncisión lo que importa. Lo que importa es obedecer los mandamientos de Dios.

La circuncisión nada es, y la incircuncisión nada es; sino la observancia de las mandamientos de Dios.

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is keeping God’s commandments.

Cada uno debe permanecer en el llamado en que estaba cuando Dios lo llamó a creer.

Cada uno en la vocación en que fué llamado, en ella se quede.

Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

Let each man stay in that calling in which he was called.

¿Eran ustedes esclavos cuando Dios los llamó? No se preocupen por eso. Pero si pueden ser libres, tomen ventaja de esto.

¿Eres llamado siendo siervo? no se te dé cuidado: mas también si puedes hacerte libre, procúralo más.

Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.

Were you called being a bondservant? Don’t let that bother you, but if you get an opportunity to become free, use it.

Pues aquel quien fue llamado por el Señor como un esclavo, es hombre libre del Señor. De igual manera quien era libre cuando fue llamado a creer es esclavo de Cristo.

Porque el que en el Señor es llamado siendo siervo, liberto es del Señor: asimismo también el que es llamado siendo libre, siervo es de Cristo.

For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.

For he who was called in the Lord being a bondservant is the Lord’s free man. Likewise he who was called being free is Christ’s bondservant.

Ustedes han sido comprados con un precio, así que no se hagan esclavos de los hombres.

Por precio sois comprados; no os hagáis siervos de los hombres.

Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

You were bought with a price. Don’t become bondservants of men.

Hermanos, en cualquier vida que cada uno de nosotros estábamos cuando fuimos llamados a creer, permanezcamos así.

Cada uno, hermanos, en lo que es llamado, en esto se quede para con Dios.

Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

Brothers, let each man, in whatever condition he was called, stay in that condition with God.

Ahora en cuanto a esos quienes nunca se casaron, yo no tengo mandamiento del Señor. Pero yo doy mi opinión como uno quien, por la misericordia del Señor, es confiable.

Empero de las vírgenes no tengo mandamiento del Señor; mas doy mi parecer, como quien ha alcanzado misericordia del Señor para ser fiel.

Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment from the Lord, but I give my judgment as one who has obtained mercy from the Lord to be trustworthy.

Por lo tanto, yo pienso que debido a la crisis inminente, es bueno para el hombre permanecer como él está.

Tengo, pues, esto por bueno á causa de la necesidad que apremia, que bueno es al hombre estarse así.

I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.

Therefore I think that because of the distress that is on us, it’s good for a man to remain as he is.

¿Estás tú atado a una mujer? No busquen quedar libre de ella. ¿Estás libre de una esposa? No busques una esposa.

¿Estás ligado á mujer? no procures soltarte. ¿Estás suelto de mujer? no procures mujer.

Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.

Are you bound to a wife? Don’t seek to be freed. Are you free from a wife? Don’t seek a wife.

Pero si te casas, tú no has cometido un pecado. Y si una mujer soltera se casa, ella no ha cometido pecado. Sin embargo, aquellos quienes se casen tendrán muchos tipos de problemas mientras vivan, y me gustaría librarlos de ellos.

Mas también si tomares mujer, no pecaste; y si la doncella se casare, no pecó: pero aflicción de carne tendrán los tales: mas yo os dejo.

But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.

But if you marry, you have not sinned. If a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Yet such will have oppression in the flesh, and I want to spare you.

Pero esto yo digo, hermanos: El tiempo es corto. De ahora en adelante, dejen que aquellos que tienen esposas vivan como si ellos no tuvieran ninguna.

Esto empero digo, hermanos, que el tiempo es corto: lo que resta es, que los que tienen mujeres sean como los que no las tienen;

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

But I say this, brothers: the time is short. From now on, both those who have wives may be as though they had none;

Esos quienes lloran deberían actuar como si no estuvieran llorado; y aquellos quienes se regocijan como si ellos no se regocijaran; y aquellos quienes compraron cualquier cosa, como si ellos no poseyeran nada.

Y los que lloran, como los que no lloran; y los que se huelgan, como los que no se huelgan; y los que compran, como los que no poseen;

And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

and those who weep, as though they didn’t weep; and those who rejoice, as though they didn’t rejoice; and those who buy, as though they didn’t possess;

Y aquellos quienes hacen uso del mundo, no deben actuar como si estuvieran haciendo uso total de él, pues el sistema de este mundo está llegando a su fin.

Y los que usan de este mundo, como los que no usan: porque la apariencia de este mundo se pasa.

And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

and those who use the world, as not using it to the fullest. For the mode of this world passes away.

A mí me gustaría que ustedes sean libres de preocupaciones. El hombre no casado está preocupado de las cosas del Señor, como complacerle a Él.

Quisiera, pues, que estuvieseis sin congoja. El soltero tiene cuidado de las cosas que son del Señor, cómo ha de agradar al Señor:

But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:

But I desire to have you to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord;

Pero el hombre casado está preocupado con las cosas de este mundo, y en como complacer a su esposa.

Empero el que se casó tiene cuidado de las cosas que son del mundo, cómo ha de agradar á su mujer.

But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.

but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife.

Él esta dividido. La mujer que no está casada o la virgen está preocupada por las cosas del Señor, como ser guardada en cuerpo y en espíritu. Pero la mujer casada también está preocupada de las cosas del mundo, en como complacer a su esposo.

Hay asimismo diferencia entre la casada y la doncella: la doncella tiene cuidado de las cosas del Señor, para ser santa así en el cuerpo como en el espíritu: mas la casada tiene cuidado de las cosas del mundo, cómo ha de agradar á su marido.

There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband.

Yo digo esto por su propio beneficio, y no para ponerles ninguna restricción sobre ustedes. Yo digo esto por lo que es correcto, para que así sean devotos al Señor sin ninguna distracción.

Esto empero digo para vuestro provecho; no para echaros lazo, sino para lo honesto y decente, y para que sin impedimento os lleguéis al Señor.

And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.

This I say for your own benefit, not that I may ensnare you, but for that which is appropriate, and that you may attend to the Lord without distraction.

Pero si alguno cree que no está tratando a su prometida con respeto, si ella está más allá de la edad de matrimonio y así debe ser, él debe hacer lo que él quiera. Él no está pecando. Ellos deben casarse.

Mas, si á alguno parece cosa fea en su hija virgen, que pase ya de edad, y que así conviene que se haga, haga lo que quisiere, no peca; cásese.

But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.

But if any man thinks that he is behaving inappropriately toward his virgin, if she is past the flower of her age, and if need so requires, let him do what he desires. He doesn’t sin. Let them marry.

Pero si él permanece firme en su corazón, si él no está bajo presión sino que puede controlar su propia voluntad, y si él ha decidido en su propio corazón hacer esto, mantener su propia pormetida virgen, él hace bien.

Pero el que está firme en su corazón, y no tiene necesidad, sino que tiene libertad de su voluntad, y determinó en su corazón esto, el guardar su hija virgen, bien hace.

Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.

But he who stands steadfast in his heart, having no urgency, but has power over his own will, and has determined in his own heart to keep his own virgin, does well.

Entonces quien se case con su prometida hace bien, y el que decida no casarse hará aun mejor.

Así que, el que la da en casamiento, bien hace; y el que no la da en casamiento, hace mejor.

So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.

So then both he who gives his own virgin in marriage does well, and he who doesn’t give her in marriage does better.

Una mujer está atada a su esposo mientras él viva. Pero si su esposo muere, ella es libre de casarse con cualquiera que ella desee casarse, pero sólo en el Señor.

La mujer casada está atada á la ley, mientras vive su marido; mas si su marido muriere, libre es: cásese con quien quisiere, con tal que sea en el Señor.

The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord.

Sin embargo, a mi juicio ella sería más feliz si ella vive como es. Y yo creo que yo también tengo el Espíritu de Dios.

Empero más venturosa será si se quedare así, según mi consejo; y pienso que también yo tengo Espíritu de Dios.

But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

But she is happier if she stays as she is, in my judgment, and I think that I also have God’s Spirit.
