5Portanto, não se recusem um ao outro. A única exceção a essa regra seria o acordo entre marido e mulher para se absterem de ter relações sexuais por tempo limitado, a fim de que possam dedicar-se à oração. Depois disso, eles devem unir-se novamente, tendo relações, para que Satanás não possa tentá-los por causa da sua falta de domínio próprio.

5Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
World English Bible
5Don’t deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn’t tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
