Así es como una persona debe considerarnos, como siervos de Cristo y mayordomos de las verdades escondidas de Dios.
TÉNGANNOS los hombres por ministros de Cristo, y dispensadores de los misterios de Dios.

Así que, no juzguéis nada antes de tiempo, hasta que venga el Señor, el cual también aclarará lo oculto de las tinieblas, y manifestará los intentos de los corazones: y entonces cada uno tendrá de Dios la alabanza.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Porque ¿quién te distingue? ¿ó qué tienes que no hayas recibido? Y si lo recibiste, ¿de qué te glorías como si no hubieras recibido?
For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
¡Ya ustedes tienen todo lo que quisieran! ¡Ya ustedes son ricos! Ustedes empezaron a reinar- y eso bastante aparte de nosotros! Ciertamente, yo quisiera que reinaran, para que así nosotros reináramos con ustedes.
Ya estáis hartos, ya estáis ricos, sin nosotros reináis; y ojalá reinéis, para que nosotros reinemos también juntamente con vosotros.
Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.

Pues yo pienso que Dios nos ha puesto como apóstoles en exibición como los últimos en la línea de procesión y como hombres sentenciados a muerte. Nosotros nos hemos llegado a ser un espectáculo para el mundo, para los ángeles y para la humanidad.

Nosotros trabajamos duro, trabajando con nuestras propias manos. Cuando nosotros somos injuriados, nosotros bendecimos.

And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

Cuando somos perseguidos, nosotros soportamos. Cuando nosotros somos calumniados, nosotros hablamos con amabilidad. Nosotros nos hemos llegados a ser, y todavía somos considerados a ser, la basura del mundo y lo más sucios de todas las cosas.
Somos blasfemados, y rogamos: hemos venido á ser como la hez del mundo, el desecho de todos hasta ahora.
Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

Así que yo les insto a ustedes a que sean imitadores de mí.
Por tanto, os ruego que me imitéis.
Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

Es por eso que les envié a Timoteo, mi amado y fiel hijo en el Señor. Él les va a recordar de mis caminos en Cristo, así como yo los enseño en todas partes y en cada iglesia.
Por lo cual os he enviado á Timoteo, que es mi hijo amado y fiel en el Señor, el cual os amonestará de mis caminos cuáles sean en Cristo, de la manera que enseño en todas partes en todas las iglesias.
For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
Because of this I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, who will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, even as I teach everywhere in every assembly.
Ahora algunos de ustedes se han vueltos arrogantes, actuando como si yo no fuera a donde ustedes.
Mas algunos están envanecidos, como si nunca hubiese yo de ir á vosotros.

¿Qué quieren ustedes? ¿Debería yo ir a ustedes con una vara o con amor y en un espíritu de gentileza?
¿Qué queréis? ¿iré á vosotros con vara, ó con caridad y espíritu de mansedumbre?
What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?
What do you want? Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?
