1 Corintios 1

Pablo, llamado por Cristo Jesús para ser apóstol por la voluntad de Dios, y Sóstenes, nuestro hermano,

PABLO, llamado á ser apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, y Sóstenes el hermano,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

a la iglesia de Dios en Corinto, a aquellos que han sido santificados en Cristo Jesús, que son llamados a ser pueblo santo. Nosotros también estamos escribiendo a todos los que invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo en todo lugar, su Señor y el nuestro.

A la iglesia de Dios que está en Corinto, santificados en Cristo Jesús, llamados santos, y á todos los que invocan el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo en cualquier lugar, Señor de ellos y nuestro:

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth—those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours:

Que la gracia y la paz de Dios nuestro Padre y el Señor Jesucristo sean a ustedes.

Gracia y paz de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Siempre le doy gracias a mi Dios por ustedes, por causa de la gracia de Dios que Cristo Jesús les dio a ustedes.

Gracias doy á mi Dios siempre por vosotros, por la gracia de Dios que os es dada en Cristo Jesús;

I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

I always thank my God concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,

Él les ha hecho ricos de todas las maneras, en toda palabra y con todo conocimiento,

Que en todas las cosas sois enriquecidos en él, en toda lengua y en toda ciencia;

That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

that in everything you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge—

así como el testimonio acerca de Cristo ha sido confirmado como cierto entre ustedes.

Así como el testimonio de Cristo ha sido confirmado en vosotros:

Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you—

Por lo tanto, ustedes no carecen de ningún don espiritual, mientras esperan ansiosamente la revelación de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

De tal manera que nada os falte en ningún don, esperando la manifestación de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

so that you come behind in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Él también los fortalecerá hasta el final, para que así no tengan culpa alguna en el día del Señor Jesucristo.

El cual también os confirmará hasta el fin, para que seáis sin falta en el día de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

who will also confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dios es fiel, Quien les llamó a la comunión con su Hijo, Jesucristo nuestro Señor.

Fiel es Dios, por el cual sois llamados á la participación de su Hijo Jesucristo nuestro Señor.

God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

God is faithful, through whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ahora les exhorto a ustedes, hermanos, por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que se pongan de acuerdo, y que no hayan divisiones entre ustedes. Les insto a que se unan con la misma mente y con el mismo propósito.

Os ruego pues, hermanos, por el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que habléis todos una misma cosa, y que no haya entre vosotros disensiones, antes seáis perfectamente unidos en una misma mente y en un mismo parecer.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Pues me ha quedado claro, mis hermanos, por la gente de Cloé que hay divisiones entre ustedes.

Porque me ha sido declarado de vosotros, hermanos míos, por los que son de Cloé, que hay entre vosotros contiendas;

For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

For it has been reported to me concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you.

Ahora con esto quiero decir: Cada uno de ustedes dice: "Yo estoy con Pablo", o "Yo estoy con Apolos", o "Yo estoy con Cefas", o "Yo estoy con Cristo."

Quiero decir, que cada uno de vosotros dice: Yo cierto soy de Pablo; pues yo de Apolos; y yo de Cefas; y yo de Cristo.

Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

Now I mean this, that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” “I follow Apollos,” “I follow Cephas,” and, “I follow Christ.”

¿Está Cristo dividido? ¿Fue Pablo crucificado por ustedes? ¿Fueron bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

¿Está dividido Cristo? ¿Fué crucificado Pablo por vosotros? ¿ó habéis sido bautizados en el nombre de Pablo?

Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

Le doy gracias a Dios que no bauticé a ninguno de ustedes, excepto a Crispo y a Gayo.

Doy gracias á Dios, que á ninguno de vosotros he bautizado, sino á Crispo y á Gayo;

I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

Esto fue para que ninguno dijera que fue bautizado en mi nombre.

Para que ninguno diga que habéis sido bautizados en mi nombre.

Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own name.

(Yo también bauticé la casa de Estéfano. Mas allá de eso, no sé si bauticé algunos otros.)

Y también bauticé la familia de Estéfanas: mas no sé si he bautizado algún otro.

And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

(I also baptized the household of Stephanas; besides them, I don’t know whether I baptized any other.)

Pues Cristo no me envió a bautizar sino a predicar el evangelio. Él no me envió a predicar con palabras de sabiduría humana, para que la cruz de Cristo no sea vaciada de su poder.

Porque no me envió Cristo á bautizar, sino á predicar el evangelio: no en sabiduría de palabras, porque no sea hecha vana la cruz de Cristo.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Good News—not in wisdom of words, so that the cross of Christ wouldn’t be made void.

Pues el mensaje acerca de la cruz es necedad para los que están muriendo. Pero entre aquellos a quienes Dios está salvando, es el poder de Dios.

Porque la palabra de la cruz es locura á los que se pierden; mas á los que se salvan, es á saber, á nosotros, es potencia de Dios.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Pues escrito está: "YO DESTRUIRÉ LA SABIDURÍA DE LOS SABIOS; YO FRUSTRARÉ EL ENTENDIMIENTO DEL INTELIGENTE."

Porque está escrito: Destruiré la sabiduría de los sabios, y desecharé la inteligencia de los entendidos.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of the discerning to nothing.”

¿Dónde está el sabio? ¿Dónde está el estudioso? ¿Dónde está el que debate en este mundo? ¿No ha convertido Dios la sabiduría del mundo en necedad?

¿Qué es del sabio? ¿qué del escriba? ¿qué del escudriñador de este siglo? ¿no ha enloquecido Dios la sabiduría del mundo?

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Ya que el mundo en su sabiduría no conoció a Dios, le agradó a Dios salvar a través de la necedad de predicar a aquellos quienes creen.

Porque por no haber el mundo conocido en la sabiduría de Dios á Dios por sabiduría, agradó á Dios salvar á los creyentes por la locura de la predicación.

For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

Pues los judíos piden señales milagrosas y los griegos buscan sabiduría.

Porque los Judíos piden señales, y los Griegos buscan sabiduría:

For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,

Pero nosotros predicamos a Cristo crucificado, una piedra de tropiezo para los judíos y necedad para los griegos.

Mas nosotros predicamos á Cristo crucificado, á los Judíos ciertamente tropezadero, y á los Gentiles locura;

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks,

Pero a aquéllos que Dios llamó, tanto judíos como griegos, nosotros predicamos a Cristo como el poder y la sabiduría de Dios.

Empero á los llamados, así Judíos como Griegos, Cristo potencia de Dios, y sabiduría de Dios.

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God;

Porque la necedad de Dios es más sabia que la gente, y la debilidad de Dios es más fuerte que la gente.

Porque lo loco de Dios es más sabio que los hombres; y lo flaco de Dios es más fuerte que los hombres.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Miren a su llamado, hermanos. No muchos de ustedes eran sabios según normas humanas. No muchos de ustedes eran poderosos. No muchos de ustedes eran de nacimiento noble.

Porque mirad, hermanos, vuestra vocación, que no sois muchos sabios según la carne, no muchos poderosos, no muchos nobles;

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble;

Pero Dios escogió las cosas necias del mundo para avergonzar a los sabios. Dios escogió lo que es débil en el mundo para avergonzar a lo que es fuerte.

Antes lo necio del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar á los sabios; y lo flaco del mundo escogió Dios, para avergonzar lo fuerte;

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.

Dios escogió lo que es bajo y menospreciado en el mundo. Hasta escogió cosas que se consideran como nada, para anular cosas que se estiman como valiosas.

Y lo vil del mundo y lo menospreciado escogió Dios, y lo que no es, para deshacer lo que es:

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

Él hizo esto para que nadie tenga razón para jactarse ante Él.

Para que ninguna carne se jacte en su presencia.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

that no flesh should boast before God.

Debido a lo que Dios hizo, ahora ustedes están en Cristo Jesús, quien se vino a ser para nosotros sabiduría de Dios. Él vino a ser nuestra justicia, santidad y redención.

Mas de él sois vosotros en Cristo Jesús, el cual nos ha sido hecho por Dios sabiduría, y justificación, y santificación, y redención:

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Because of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,

Como resultado, como dice la Escritura: "AQUEL QUE SE JACTA, JÁCTESE EN EL SEÑOR."

Para que, como está escrito: El que se gloría, gloríese en el Señor.

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

that, as it is written, “He who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”
