1Se hizo, pues, el censo de todo Israel; cuya suma se halla escrita en el Libro de los Reyes de Israel y de Judá. Y fueron los israelitas transportados a Babilonia por sus pecados.
2Los que después habitaron los primeros en sus posesiones y ciudades fueron de cuatro clases; israelitas, sacerdotes, levitas, y los natineos.
3Se establecieron en Jerusalén varios de los hijos de Judá y de los de Benjamín, como también de los hijos de Efraín y de Manasés.
4De la tribu de Judá Otei, hijo de Ammiud, hijo de Armi, hijo de Omrai, hijo de Bonni, uno de los descendientes de Farés, hijo de Judá.
5Y de la línea de Siloni: Asaya el primogénito y sus hijos.
6De los descendientes de Zara: Jehuel y sus hermanos o parientes, seiscientos noventa.
7De la tribu de Benjamín: Salo, hijo de Mosollam, hijo de Obvía, hijo de Asana;
8y Jobanía, hijo de Joroham, y Ela, hijo de Ozi, hijo de Mocori; y Mosollam, hijo de Safatías, hijo de Rahuel, hijo de Jebanías:
9Con sus hermanos o parientes, que divididos en sus familias eran novecientos cincuenta y seis. Todos éstos fueron cabezas o troncos de varias familias de su linaje.
10De los sacerdotes fueron Jedaya, Joyarib y Joaquín.
11Asimismo Azarías, hijo de Helcías, hijo de Mosollam, hijo de Sadoc, hijo de Marayot, hijo de Aquitob, sumo sacerdote de la casa de Dios.
12Además Adaías, hijo de Jeroham, hijo de Fasur, hijo de Melquías, y Mahasai, hijo de Adiel, hijo de Jezra, hijo de Mosollam, hijo de Mosollamit, hijo de Emmer;
13con los parientes de estos príncipes de sus familias, en número de mil setecientos sesenta, hombres robustos y vigorosos para soportar las fatigas del ministerio de la casa de Dios.
14De los levitas fueron Semeya, hijo de Hasub, hijo de Ezricam, hijo de Hasebía, uno de los hijos de Merari;
15y Bacbacar carpintero, y Galal, y Matanías, hijo de Mica, hijo de Zecri, hijo de Asaf;
16y Obdías, hijo de Semeya, hijo de Galal, hijo de Iditún; y Baraquías, hijo de Asa, hijo de Elcana, que habitó en las aldeas de Netofati.
17Los jefes de los porteros eran Sellum, y Accub, y Telmón, y Ahiman; su hermano Sellum era el principal.
18Hasta este tiempo, parte de los levitas hacían por su turno la guardia en la puerta del templo, llamada del Rey, al oriente.
19Sellum, hijo de Coré, hijo de Abiasaf, hijo del viejo Coré, asistía allí con sus hermanos y la familia de su padre; esto es, los coritas, que tienen la superintendencia de las obras concernientes al ministerio, y guardan los patios del Tabernáculo, y cuyas familias hacen por turno la guardia en la entrada del campamento o morada del Señor.
20Finees, hijo de Eleazar, era su jefe en el servicio del Señor.
21Zacarías, hijo de Mosollamia, era el portero del Tabernáculo del Testimonio.
22Todos estos elegidos para ostiarios o guardas de las puertas, eran doscientos doce, y estaban empadronados en el censo de sus propias villas; a los cuales David y el profeta Samuel por su fidelidad establecieron,
23tanto a ellos como a sus hijos para guardar por sus turnos las puertas del templo del Señor y las del Tabernáculo.
24Estaban los jefes de los ostiarios colocados según la dirección de los cuatro vientos, esto es, al oriente y al poniente, al norte y al mediodía.
25Pero sus hermanos, los otros porteros vivían en las aldeas, y venían los sábados por su turno de semana en semana.
26A dichos cuatro levitas estaban subordinados todos los ostiarios, y cuidaban de las viviendas y de los tesoros o alhajas del templo del Señor.
27Por eso tenían cada uno su habitación alrededor del templo del Señor, y abrían a su tiempo las puertas por la mañana.
28Del linaje de éstos eran los que guardaban las cosas destinadas al servicio del templo; porque todas ellas se metían y sacaban por cuenta.
29De éstos mismos, que tenían a su cargo los utensilios del santuario, algunos cuidaban de la flor de harina, y del vino, y del aceite, y del incienso, y de los aromas.
30Pero eran los hijos de los sacerdotes los que hacían la confección de los perfumes con las especies aromáticas.
31El levita Matatías, primogénito de Sellum, corita, cuidaba de las cosas que se freían en sartén.
32De los hijos de Caat, hermanos de éstos, había algunos que estaban encargados de los panes de la proposición, para renovarlos cada sábado.
33Estos eran los principales o los jefes de los cantores entre las familias de los levitas, los cuales moraban en las habitaciones unidas al templo, a fin de poder aplicarse incesantemente día y noche a su ministerio.
34Los jefes de los levitas, príncipes en sus familias, estaban siempre en Jerusalén .
35En Gabaón se estableció Jehiel restaurador de Gabaón; se llamaba su mujer Maaca.
36Su hijo primogénito fue Abdón, y fueron también hijos suyos Sur, y Cis, y Baal, y Ner, y Nadab;
37asimismo Gedor, y Ahío y Zacarías y Macellot.
38Macellot engendró a Samaán; éstos y sus hermanos habitaron en Jerusalén , enfrente de otros hermanos suyos.
39Ner después engendró a Cis, Cis a Saúl, y Saúl a Jonatás, y a Melquisua, y a Abinadab, y a Esbaal.
40Hijo de Jonatás fue Meribbaal; de Meribbaal lo fue Mica.
41Hijos de Mica fueron Fiton, y Melec, y Taraa, y Ahaz.
42Ahaz engendró a Jara, Jara engendró a Alamat, y a Azmot, y a Zamri, Zamri engendró a Mosa.
43Mosa engendró a Banaa, cuyo hijo Rafaya engendró a Elasa, del cual nació Asel.
44Asel tuvo seis hijos, cuyos nombres fueron: Ezricam, Bocru, Ismael, Saría, Odbía, Hanán; éstos son los hijos de Asel.

1Y CONTADO todo Israel por el orden de los linajes, fueron escritos en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá, que fueron trasportados á Babilonia por su rebelión.
2Los primeros moradores que entraron en sus posesiones en sus ciudades, fueron así de Israel, como de los sacerdotes, Levitas, y Nethineos.
3Y habitaron en Jerusalem de los hijos de Judá, de los hijos de Benjamín, de los hijos de Ephraim y Manasés:
4Urai hijo de Amiud, hijo de Omri, hijo de Imrai, hijo de Bani, de los hijos de Phares hijo de Judá.
5Y de Siloni, Asaías el primogénito, y sus hijos.
6Y de los hijos de Zara, Jehuel y sus hermanos, seiscientos noventa.
7Y de los hijos de Benjamín: Sallu hijo de Mesullam, hijo de Odavía, hijo de Asenua;
8E Ibnías hijo de Jeroham, y Ela hijo de Uzzi, hijo de Michri; y Mesullam hijo de Sephatías, hijo de Rehuel, hijo de Ibnías.
9Y sus hermanos por sus linajes fueron nuevecientos cincuenta y seis. Todos estos hombres fueron cabezas de familia en las casas de sus padres.
10Y de los sacerdotes: Jedaía, Joiarib, Joachîm;
11Y Azarías hijo de Hilcías, hijo de Mesullam, hijo de Sadoc, hijo de Meraioth, hijo de Achîtob, príncipe de la casa de Dios;
12Y Adaías hijo de Jeroham, hijo de Phasur, hijo de Machîas; y Masai hijo de Adiel, hijo de Jazera, hijo de Mesullam, hijo de Mesillemith, hijo de Immer;
13Y sus hermanos, cabezas de las casas de sus padres, en número de mil setecientos sesenta, hombres de grande eficacia en la obra del ministerio en la casa de Dios.
14Y de los Levitas: Semeías, hijo de Hassub, hijo de Azricam, hijo de Hasabías, de los hijos de Merari;
15Y Bacbaccar, Heres, y Galal, y Mattanía hijo de Michâs, hijo de Zichri, hijo de Asaph;
16Y Obadías hijo de Semeías, hijo de Galal, hijo de Iduthum: y Berachîas hijo de Asa, hijo de Elcana, el cual habitó en las aldeas de Nethophati.
17Y los porteros: Sallum, Accub, Talmon, Ahiman, y sus hermanos. Sallum era el jefe.
18Y hasta ahora entre las cuadrillas de los hijos de Leví han sido estos los porteros en la puerta del rey que está al oriente.
19Y Sallum hijo de Core, hijo de Abiasath, hijo de Corah, y sus hermanos los Coraitas por la casa de su padre, tuvieron cargo de la obra del ministerio, guardando las puertas del tabernáculo; y sus padres fueron sobre la cuadrilla de Jehová guardas de la entrada.
20Y Phinees hijo de Eleazar fué antes capitán sobre ellos, siendo Jehová con él.
21Y Zacarías hijo de Meselemia era portero de la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.
22Todos estos, escogidos para guardas en las puertas, eran doscientos doce cuando fueron contados por el orden de sus linajes en sus villas, á los cuales constituyó en su oficio David y Samuel el vidente.
23Así ellos y sus hijos eran porteros por sus turnos á las puertas de la casa de Jehová, y de la casa del tabernáculo.
24Y estaban los porteros á los cuatro vientos, al oriente, al occidente, al septentrión, y al mediodía.
25Y sus hermanos que estaban en sus aldeas, venían cada siete días por sus tiempos con ellos.
26Porque cuatro principales de los porteros Levitas estaban en el oficio, y tenían cargo de las cámaras, y de los tesoros de la casa de Dios.
27Estos moraban alrededor de la casa de Dios, porque tenían cargo de la guardia, y el de abrir aquélla todas las mañanas.
28Algunos de estos tenían cargo de los vasos del ministerio, los cuales se metían por cuenta, y por cuenta se sacaban.
29Y otros de ellos tenían cargo de la vajilla, y de todos los vasos del santuario, y de la harina, y del vino, y del aceite, y del incienso, y de los aromas.
30Y algunos de los hijos de los sacerdotes hacían los ungüentos aromáticos.
31Y Mathathías, uno de los Levitas, primogénito de Sallum Coraita, tenía cargo de las cosas que se hacían en sartén.
32Y algunos de los hijos de Coath, y de sus hermanos, tenían el cargo de los panes de la proposición, los cuales ponían por orden cada sábado.
33Y de estos había cantores, principales de familias de los Levitas, los cuales estaban en sus cámaras exentos; porque de día y de noche estaban en aquella obra.
34Estos eran jefes de familias de los Levitas por sus linajes, jefes que habitaban en Jerusalem.
35Y en Gabaón habitaban Jehiel padre de Gabaón, el nombre de cuya mujer era Maachâ;
36Y su hijo primogénito Abdón, luego Sur, Chîs, Baal, Ner, Nadab;
37Gedor, Ahio, Zachârías, y Micloth.
38Y Micloth engendró á Samaán. Y estos habitaban también en Jerusalem con sus hermanos enfrente de ellos.
39Y Ner engendró á Cis, y Cis engendró á Saúl, y Saúl engendró á Jonathán, Malchîsua, Abinadab, y Esbaal.
40E hijo de Jonathán fué Merib-baal, y Merib-baal engendró á Michâ.
41Y los hijos de Michâ: Phitón, Melech, Tharea, y Ahaz.
42Ahaz engendró á Jara, y Jara engendró á Alemeth, Azmaveth, y Zimri: y Zimri engendró á Mosa;
43Y Mosa engendró á Bina, cuyo hijo fué Rephaía, del que fué hijo Elasa, cuyo hijo fué Asel.
44Y Asel tuvo seis hijos, los nombres de los cuales son: Azricam, Bochru, Ismael, Seraía, Obadías, y Hanán: estos fueron los hijos de Asel.

1So all Israel were reckoned by genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their transgression.
2Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the priests, Levites, and the Nethinims.
3And in Jerusalem dwelt of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim, and Manasseh;
4Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Pharez the son of Judah.
5And of the Shilonites; Asaiah the firstborn, and his sons.
6And of the sons of Zerah; Jeuel, and their brethren, six hundred and ninety.
7And of the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hasenuah,

19And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.
20And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was the ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.
21And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was porter of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
22All these which were chosen to be porters in the gates were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office.
23So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards.
24In four quarters were the porters, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.
26For these Levites, the four chief porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge was upon them, and the opening thereof every morning pertained to them.
28And certain of them had the charge of the ministering vessels, that they should bring them in and out by tale.
29Some of them also were appointed to oversee the vessels, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, and the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.
30And some of the sons of the priests made the ointment of the spices.
31And Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the set office over the things that were made in the pans.
32And other of their brethren, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the shewbread, to prepare it every sabbath.
33And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.
34These chief fathers of the Levites were chief throughout their generations; these dwelt at Jerusalem.
35And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon, Jehiel, whose wife’s name was Maachah:
36And his firstborn son Abdon, then Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Ner, and Nadab,
37And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zechariah, and Mikloth.
38And Mikloth begat Shimeam. And they also dwelt with their brethren at Jerusalem, over against their brethren.
39And Ner begat Kish; and Kish begat Saul; and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchi-shua, and Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
40And the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal: and Merib-baal begat Micah.
41And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tahrea, and Ahaz.
42And Ahaz begat Jarah; and Jarah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza;
43And Moza begat Binea; and Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.

1So all Israel were listed by genealogies; and behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel. Judah was carried away captive to Babylon for their disobedience.
2Now the first inhabitants who lived in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the temple servants.
3In Jerusalem, there lived of the children of Judah, of the children of Benjamin, and of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh:
4Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Omri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani, of the children of Perez the son of Judah.
5Of the Shilonites: Asaiah the firstborn and his sons.
6Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel and their brothers, six hundred ninety.
7Of the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Hassenuah;

17The gatekeepers: Shallum, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the chief),
18who previously served in the king’s gate eastward. They were the gatekeepers for the camp of the children of Levi.
19Shallum was the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father’s house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent. Their fathers had been over the LORD’s camp, keepers of the entry.
20Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them in time past, and the LORD was with him.
21Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper of the door of the Tent of Meeting.
22All these who were chosen to be gatekeepers in the thresholds were two hundred twelve. These were listed by genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer ordained in their office of trust.
23So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the LORD’s house, even the house of the tent, as guards.
24On the four sides were the gatekeepers, toward the east, west, north, and south.
25Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them,
26for the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were in an office of trust, and were over the rooms and over the treasuries in God’s house.
27They stayed around God’s house, because that was their duty; and it was their duty to open it morning by morning.
28Certain of them were in charge of the vessels of service, for these were brought in by count, and these were taken out by count.
29Some of them also were appointed over the furniture, and over all the vessels of the sanctuary, over the fine flour, the wine, the oil, the frankincense, and the spices.
30Some of the sons of the priests prepared the mixing of the spices.
31Mattithiah, one of the Levites, who was the firstborn of Shallum the Korahite, had the office of trust over the things that were baked in pans.
32Some of their brothers, of the sons of the Kohathites, were over the show bread, to prepare it every Sabbath.
33These are the singers, heads of fathers’ households of the Levites, who lived in the rooms and were free from other service, for they were employed in their work day and night.

38Mikloth became the father of Shimeam. They also lived with their relatives in Jerusalem, near their relatives.
39Ner became the father of Kish. Kish became the father of Saul. Saul became the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.
40The son of Jonathan was Merib-baal. Merib-baal became the father of Micah.
41The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
42Ahaz became the father of Jarah. Jarah became the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri became the father of Moza.
43Moza became the father of Binea, Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.
44Azel had six sons, whose names are Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
