19Salum era filho de Coré, que era filho de Ebiasafe, que era filho de Corá. Ele e seus parentes mais chegados, os coraítas, tinham a responsabilidade de cuidar dos sacrifícios e de proteger as portas do Lugar Santo, da mesma maneira como os seus pais no passado eram os vigias e guardas da habitação do Senhor, o Tabernáculo.

19And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry.

19Shallum was the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brothers, of his father’s house, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent. Their fathers had been over the LORD’s camp, keepers of the entry.
