35fils de Tsuph, fils d'Elkana, fils de Mahath, fils d'Amasaï,
36fils d'Elkana, fils de Joël, fils d'Azaria, fils de Sophonie,
37fils de Thahath, fils d'Assir, fils d'Ebiasaph, fils de Coré,
38fils de Jitsehar, fils de Cahath, fils de Lévi, fils d'Israël.
39Et son frère Asaph qui se tenait à sa droite, Asaph, fils de Béréchia, fils de Silea,

41fils de Etni, fils de Zérah, fils de Adaïa,

48Et leurs frères les Lévites étaient affectés à tout le service de la Résidence de la Maison de Dieu.
49Et Aaron et ses fils faisaient fumer les oblations sur l'autel des holocaustes et sur l'autel aux parfums, chargés de tout le service du Lieu Très-Saint, et de l'expiation pour Israël selon toutes les prescriptions de Moïse, serviteur de Dieu.
50Suivent les fils d'Aaron : Son fils Eléazar qui eut pour fils Phinées, dont le fils fut Abisua
51qui eut pour fils Buki, dont le fils fut Uzzi qui eut pour fils Zerahia,
52dont le fils fut Meraioth qui eut pour fils Amaria, dont le fils fut Ahitub
53qui eut pour fils Tsadoc, dont le fils fut Ahimaats.
54Et voici leurs habitations selon leurs clos dans leurs limites, savoir des fils d'Aaron de la famille des Cahathites, car à eux échut le sort.
55On leur donna Hébron au pays de Juda et sa banlieue environnante,
56mais les champs de la ville et ses villages furent donnés à Caleb, fils de Jéphunné.
57Et aux fils d'Aaron on donna les villes de refuge : Hébron et Libna et sa banlieue, et Jatthir, et Esthmoa et sa banlieue,
58et Hilen et sa banlieue, Debir et sa banlieue,
59et Asan et sa banlieue, et Bethsémès et sa banlieue,
60et de la Tribu de Benjamin : Geba et sa banlieue, et Allemeth et sa banlieue, et Anathoth et sa banlieue. Total de leurs villes, treize en raison de leurs familles.
61Et les fils de Cahath restants reçurent des familles de la Tribu d'Ephraïm et de celle de Dan et de la demi-Tribu de Manassé par le sort dix villes.
62Et les fils de Gersom selon leurs familles reçurent de la Tribu d'Issaschar et de la Tribu d'Asser et de la Tribu de Nephthali et de la Tribu de Manassé en Basan, treize villes.
63Les fils de Merari selon leurs familles reçurent de la Tribu de Ruben et de la Tribu de Gad et de la Tribu de Zabulon par le sort douze villes.
64C'est ainsi que les enfants d'Israël donnèrent aux Lévites les villes et leurs banlieues.
65Et ils donnèrent par le sort, de la Tribu des fils de Juda et de la Tribu des fils de Siméon et de la Tribu des fils de Benjamin, ces villes qu'ils désignèrent par leurs noms.
66Quant aux restants des familles de Cahath les villes de leur district étaient de la Tribu d'Ephraïm.
67Et on leur donna les villes de refuge : Sichem et sa banlieue dans la montagne d'Ephraïm, et Gézer et sa banlieue,
68et Jocmeam et sa banlieue, et Beth-Horon et sa banlieue,
69et Ajalon et sa banlieue, et Gath-Rimmon et sa banlieue,
70et de la demi-Tribu de Manassé Aner et sa banlieue, et Bileam et sa banlieue, — à la famille des autres fils de Cahath.
71Les fils de Gersom eurent de la famille de la demi-Tribu de Manassé : Golan en Basan et sa banlieue, et Astaroth et sa banlieue,
72et de la Tribu d'Issaschar : Kédès et sa banlieue, Dobrath et sa banlieue,
73et Ramoth et sa banlieue, et Anem et sa banlieue,
74et de la Tribu d'Asser : Masal et sa banlieue, et Abdon et sa banlieue,
75et Hucoc et sa banlieue, et Rechob et sa banlieue ;
76et de la Tribu de Nephthali : Kédès en Galilée et sa banlieue, et Hammon et sa banlieue, et Kiriathaïm et sa banlieue.
77Les autres fils de Merari eurent de la Tribu de Zabulon : Rimmon et sa banlieue, et Thabor et sa banlieue,
78et au delà du Jourdain près de Jéricho à l'Orient du Jourdain, de la Tribu de Ruben : Betser au désert et sa banlieue, et Jahtsa et sa banlieue,
79et Kedémoth et sa banlieue, et Meiphaath et sa banlieue,
80et de la Tribu de Gad : Ramoth en Galaad et sa banlieue, et Mahanaïm et sa banlieue,

56Mas el territorio de la ciudad y sus aldeas se dieron á Caleb, hijo de Jephone.
57Y á los hijos de Aarón dieron las ciudades de Judá de acogimiento, es á saber, á Hebrón, y á Libna con sus ejidos;
58A Jathir, y Esthemoa con sus ejidos, y á Hilem con sus ejidos, y á Debir con sus ejidos;
59A Asán con sus ejidos, y á Beth-semes con sus ejidos:
60Y de la tribu de Benjamín, á Geba con sus ejidos, y á Alemeth con sus ejidos, y á Anathoth con sus ejidos. Todas sus ciudades fueron trece ciudades, repartidas por sus linajes.
61A los hijos de Coath, que quedaron de su parentela, dieron diez ciudades de la media tribu de Manasés por suerte.
62Y á los hijos de Gersón, por sus linajes, dieron de la tribu de Issachâr, y de la tribu de Aser, y de la tribu de Nephtalí, y de la tribu de Manasés en Basán, trece ciudades.
63Y á los hijos de Merari, por sus linajes, de la tribu de Rubén, y de la tribu de Gad, y de la tribu de Zabulón, se dieron por suerte doce ciudades.
64Y dieron los hijos de Israel á los Levitas ciudades con sus ejidos.
65Y dieron por suerte de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, y de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, y de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín, las ciudades que nombraron por sus nombres.
66Y á los linajes de los hijos de Coath dieron ciudades con sus términos de la tribu de Ephraim.
67Y diéronles las ciudades de acogimiento, á Sichêm con sus ejidos en el monte de Ephraim, y á Gezer con sus ejidos,
68Y á Jocmeam con sus ejidos, y á Beth-oron con sus ejidos,
69Y á Ajalón con sus ejidos, y á Gath-rimmón con sus ejidos.
70De la media tribu de Manasés, á Aner con sus ejidos, y á Bilam con sus ejidos, para los del linaje de los hijos de Coath que habían quedado.
71Y á los hijos de Gersón dieron de la familia de la media tribu de Manasés, á Golan en Basán con sus ejidos y á Astharoth con sus ejidos;

54Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot.
55And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it.
56But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
57And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs,
58And Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,
59And Ashan with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs:
60And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.
61And unto the sons of Kohath, which were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities.
62And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
63Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
64And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs.
65And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names.
66And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim.
67And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,
68And Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Beth-horon with her suburbs,
69And Aijalon with her suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with her suburbs:
70And out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath.
71Unto the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs:

4Eleazar became the father of Phinehas, Phinehas became the father of Abishua,
5Abishua became the father of Bukki. Bukki became the father of Uzzi.
6Uzzi became the father of Zerahiah. Zerahiah became the father of Meraioth.
7Meraioth became the father of Amariah. Amariah became the father of Ahitub.
8Ahitub became the father of Zadok. Zadok became the father of Ahimaaz.
9Ahimaaz became the father of Azariah. Azariah became the father of Johanan.
10Johanan became the father of Azariah, who executed the priest’s office in the house that Solomon built in Jerusalem.
11Azariah became the father of Amariah. Amariah became the father of Ahitub.
12Ahitub became the father of Zadok. Zadok became the father of Shallum.
13Shallum became the father of Hilkiah. Hilkiah became the father of Azariah.
14Azariah became the father of Seraiah. Seraiah became the father of Jehozadak.
15Jehozadak went into captivity when the LORD carried Judah and Jerusalem away by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.
16The sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.
17These are the names of the sons of Gershom: Libni and Shimei.
18The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.
19The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers’ households.
20Of Gershom: Libni his son, Jahath his son, Zimmah his son,
21Joah his son, Iddo his son, Zerah his son, and Jeatherai his son.
22The sons of Kohath: Amminadab his son, Korah his son, Assir his son,
23Elkanah his son, Ebiasaph his son, Assir his son,
24Tahath his son, Uriel his son, Uzziah his son, and Shaul his son.
25The sons of Elkanah: Amasai and Ahimoth.
26As for Elkanah, the sons of Elkanah: Zophai his son, Nahath his son,
27Eliab his son, Jeroham his son, and Elkanah his son.
28The sons of Samuel: the firstborn, Joel, and the second, Abijah.
29The sons of Merari: Mahli, Libni his son, Shimei his son, Uzzah his son,
30Shimea his son, Haggiah his son, Asaiah his son.
31These are they whom David set over the service of song in the LORD’s house after the ark came to rest there.
32They ministered with song before the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting until Solomon had built the LORD’s house in Jerusalem. They performed the duties of their office according to their order.

36the son of Elkanah, the son of Joel, the son of Azariah, the son of Zephaniah,
37the son of Tahath, the son of Assir, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah,
38the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, the son of Israel.
39His brother Asaph, who stood on his right hand, even Asaph the son of Berechiah, the son of Shimea,
40the son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchijah,
41the son of Ethni, the son of Zerah, the son of Adaiah,
42the son of Ethan, the son of Zimmah, the son of Shimei,
43the son of Jahath, the son of Gershom, the son of Levi.
44On the left hand their brothers the sons of Merari: Ethan the son of Kishi, the son of Abdi, the son of Malluch,
45the son of Hashabiah, the son of Amaziah, the son of Hilkiah,
46the son of Amzi, the son of Bani, the son of Shemer,
47the son of Mahli, the son of Mushi, the son of Merari, the son of Levi.
48Their brothers the Levites were appointed for all the service of the tabernacle of God’s house.
49But Aaron and his sons offered on the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the most holy place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
50These are the sons of Aaron: Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son,
51Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son,
52Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son,
53Zadok his son, and Ahimaaz his son.
54Now these are their dwelling places according to their encampments in their borders: to the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites (for theirs was the first lot),
55to them they gave Hebron in the land of Judah, and its pasture lands around it;
56but the fields of the city and its villages, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
57To the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of refuge, Hebron, Libnah also with its pasture lands, Jattir, Eshtemoa with its pasture lands,
58Hilen with its pasture lands, Debir with its pasture lands,
59Ashan with its pasture lands, and Beth Shemesh with its pasture lands;
60and out of the tribe of Benjamin, Geba with its pasture lands, Allemeth with its pasture lands, and Anathoth with its pasture lands. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.
61To the rest of the sons of Kohath were given by lot, out of the family of the tribe, out of the half-tribe, the half of Manasseh, ten cities.
62To the sons of Gershom, according to their families, out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
63To the sons of Merari were given by lot, according to their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
64The children of Israel gave to the Levites the cities with their pasture lands.
65They gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities which are mentioned by name.
66Some of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.
67They gave to them the cities of refuge, Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim with its pasture lands and Gezer with its pasture lands,
68Jokmeam with its pasture lands, Beth Horon with its pasture lands,
69Aijalon with its pasture lands, Gath Rimmon with its pasture lands;
70and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Aner with its pasture lands, and Bileam with its pasture lands, for the rest of the family of the sons of Kohath.
71To the sons of Gershom were given, out of the family of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with its pasture lands, and Ashtaroth with its pasture lands;
72and out of the tribe of Issachar, Kedesh with its pasture lands, Daberath with its pasture lands,
73Ramoth with its pasture lands, and Anem with its pasture lands;
74and out of the tribe of Asher, Mashal with its pasture lands, Abdon with its pasture lands,
75Hukok with its pasture lands, and Rehob with its pasture lands;
76and out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its pasture lands, Hammon with its pasture lands, and Kiriathaim with its pasture lands.
77To the rest of the Levites, the sons of Merari, were given, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmono with its pasture lands, and Tabor with its pasture lands;
78and beyond the Jordan at Jericho, on the east side of the Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben: Bezer in the wilderness with its pasture lands, Jahzah with its pasture lands,
79Kedemoth with its pasture lands, and Mephaath with its pasture lands;
80and out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its pasture lands, Mahanaim with its pasture lands,
81Heshbon with its pasture lands, and Jazer with its pasture lands.
