Reaías, filho de Sobal, gerou a Jaate; e Jaate gerou a Aumai e a Laade. Estas são as famílias dos zoratitas.

Jabez clamou ao Deus de Israel, dizendo: “Ah, se tu me abençoasses de fato, e ampliasses o meu território! Que a tua mão esteja comigo, e que me guardes do mal, para que eu não cause dor!” Deus lhe concedeu o que ele pediu.

E invocó Jabes al Dios de Israel, diciendo: ¡Oh si me dieras bendición, y ensancharas mi término, y si tu mano fuera conmigo, y me libraras de mal, que no me dañe! E hizo Dios que le viniese lo que pidió.

And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
