24Serujas Sohn Joab hatte mit der Zählung begonnen; aber er hatte sie nicht zu Ende gebracht. Denn deshalb entstand ein Zorn wider Israel. Die Zählung aber war nicht vollständig in das Buch der Chronik des Königs David aufgenonunen worden.

24Joab hijo de Sarvia había comenzado á contar, mas no acabó, pues por esto vino la ira sobre Israel: y así el número no fué puesto en el registro de las crónicas del rey David.

24Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.

24Joab the son of Zeruiah began to take a census, but didn’t finish; and wrath came on Israel for this. The number wasn’t put into the account in the chronicles of King David.
