1Poi Davide e i capi dell’esercito appartarono per il servizio quelli de’ figliuoli di Asaf, di Heman e di Jeduthun che cantavano gl’inni sacri accompagnandosi con cetre, con saltèri e con cembali; e questo e il numero di quelli che furono incaricati di questo servizio.
2Dei figliuoli di Asaf: Zaccur, Josef, Nethania, Asarela, figliuoli di Asaf, sotto la direzione di Asaf, che cantava gl’inni sacri, seguendo le istruzioni del re.
3Di Jeduthun: i figliuoli di Jeduthun: Ghedalia, Tseri, Isaia, Hashabia, Mattithia e Scimei, sei, sotto la direzione del loro padre Jeduthun, che cantava gl’inni sacri con la cetra per lodare e celebrare l’Eterno.
4Di Heman: i figliuoli di Heman: Bukkija, Mattania, Uzziel, Scebuel, Jerimoth, Hanania, Hanani, Eliathak, Ghiddalthi, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekasha, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth.
5Tutti questi erano figliuoli di Heman, veggente del re, secondo la promessa di Dio di accrescer la potenza di Heman. Iddio infatti avea dato a Heman quattordici figliuoli e tre figliuole.
6Tutti questi erano sotto la direzione dei loro padri per il canto della casa dell’Eterno, ed aveano dei cembali, dei saltèri e delle cetre per il servizio della casa di Dio. Eran sotto la direzione del re, di Asaf, di Jeduthun e di Heman.
7Il loro numero, compresi i loro fratelli istruiti nel canto in onore dell’Eterno, tutti quelli cioè ch’erano esperti in questo, ascendeva a dugento ottanta otto.
8Tirarono a sorte il loro ordine di servizio, tanto i piccoli quanto i grandi, tanto i maestri quanto i discepoli.
9Il primo designato dalla sorte per Asaf fu Josef; il secondo, Ghedalia, coi suoi fratelli e i suoi figliuoli, dodici in tutto;
10il terzo fu Zaccur, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
11il quarto fu Jtseri, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
12il quinto fu Nethania, coi suoi figliuoli e suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
13il sesto fu Bukkia, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
14il settimo fu Jesarela, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
15l’ottavo fu Isaia, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
16il nono fu Mattania, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
17il decimo fu Scimei, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
18l’undecimo fu Azarel, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
19il dodicesimo fu Hashabia, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
20il tredicesimo fu Shubael, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
21il quattordicesimo fu Mattithia, coi suoi figliuoli i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
22il quindicesimo fu Jeremoth, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
23il sedicesimo fu Hanania, col suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
24il diciassettesimo fu Joshbekasha, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
25il diciottesimo fu Hanani, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
26il diciannovesimo fu Mallothi, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;
27il ventesimo fu Eliatha, coi suoi figliuoli e i suoi fratelli, dodici in tutto;

1ASIMISMO David y los príncipes del ejército apartaron para el ministerio á los hijos de Asaph, y de Hemán, y de Jeduthún, los cuales profetizasen con arpas, salterios, y címbalos: y el número de ellos fué, de hombres idóneos para la obra de su ministerio respectivo:
2De los hijos de Asaph: Zachûr, José, Methanías, y Asareela, hijos de Asaph, bajo la dirección de Asaph, el cual profetizaba á la orden del rey.
3De Jeduthún: los hijos de Jeduthún, Gedalías, Sesi, Jesaías, Hasabías, y Mathithías, y Simi: seis, bajo la mano de su padre Jeduthún, el cual profetizaba con arpa, para celebrar y alabar á Jehová.
4De Hemán: los hijos de Hemán, Buccia, Mathanía, Uzziel, Sebuel, Jerimoth, Hananías, Hanani, Eliatha, Gidalthi, Romamti-ezer, Josbecasa, Mallothi, Othir, y Mahazioth.
5Todos estos fueron hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en palabras de Dios, para ensalzar el poder suyo: y dió Dios á Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.
6Y todos estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en la música, en la casa de Jehová, con címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio del templo de Dios, por disposición del rey acerca de Asaph, de Jeduthún, y de Hemán.
7Y el número de ellos con sus hermanos instruídos en música de Jehová, todos los aptos, fué doscientos ochenta y ocho.
8Y echaron suertes para los turnos del servicio, entrando el pequeño con el grande, lo mismo el maestro que el discípulo.
9Y la primera suerte salió por Asaph, á José: la segunda á Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos é hijos fueron doce;
10La tercera á Zachûr, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

1Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
2Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.
3Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.
4Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:
5All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king’s order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
7So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
8And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
9Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:
10The third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

1Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. The number of those who did the work according to their service was:
2of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.
3Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD with the harp.
4Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
