1Davi e os líderes do serviço no tabernáculo selecionaram alguns dos filhos de Asafe, de Hemã e de Jedutum. Estes profetizavam com harpas, instrumentos de cordas e címbalos. Aqui está a lista de homens que fizeram esse serviço:
2dos filhos de Asafe: Zacur, José, Netanias e Asarela, filhos de Asafe, sob a sua direção, que profetizavam sob a supervisão do rei;
3dos filhos de Jedutum: Gedalias, Zeri, Jesaías, Simei, Hasabias e Matitias, que eram seis, sob a direção de seu pai, Jedutum, que tocava harpa para dar graças e louvar Yahweh;
4dos filhos de Hemã: Buquias, Matanias, Uziel, Sebuel, Jerimote, Hananias, Hanani, Eliatá, Gidalti, Romanti-Ezer, Josbecasa, Maloti, Hotir e Maaziote,
5todos esses eram filhos de Hemã, o profeta do rei. Deus deu a Hemã catorze filhos e três filhas para honrá-lo.
6Todos esses estavam debaixo da direção de seus pais. Eles eram músicos na casa de Yahweh, com címbalos e instrumentos de cordas, enquanto serviam na casa de Deus. Asafe, Jedutum e Hemã estavam sob a supervisão do rei.
7Eles e seus irmãos, que foram habilitados e treinados para fazer músicas para Yahweh, somavam duzentos e oitenta e oito.
8Eles designaram seus serviços por sortes, tanto os jovens como os velhos, os mestres como os estudantes.
9Dos filhos de Asafe, a primeira sorte caiu para a família de José; a segunda, para a família de Gedalias, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
10A terceira caiu para Zacur, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
11A quarta, para Izri, seus filhos e seus parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
12A quinta, para Netanias, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
13A sexta, para Buquias, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
14A sétima, para Jesarela, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
15A oitava, para Jesaías, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
16A nona para Matanias, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
17A décima, para Simei, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
18A décima primeira, para Azarel, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
19A décima segunda, para Hasabias, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
20A décima terceira, para Subael, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
21A décima quarta, para Matitias, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
22A décima quinta, para Jerimote, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
23A décima sexta, para Hananias, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
24A décima sétima, para Josbecasa, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
25A décima oitava, para Hanani, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
26A décima nona, para Maloti, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
27A vigésima, para Eliata, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
28A vigésima primeira, para Hotir, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
29A vigésima segunda, para Gidalti, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.
30A vigésima terceira, para Maaziote, seus filhos e parentes, que eram doze pessoas ao todo.

1ASIMISMO David y los príncipes del ejército apartaron para el ministerio á los hijos de Asaph, y de Hemán, y de Jeduthún, los cuales profetizasen con arpas, salterios, y címbalos: y el número de ellos fué, de hombres idóneos para la obra de su ministerio respectivo:
2De los hijos de Asaph: Zachûr, José, Methanías, y Asareela, hijos de Asaph, bajo la dirección de Asaph, el cual profetizaba á la orden del rey.
3De Jeduthún: los hijos de Jeduthún, Gedalías, Sesi, Jesaías, Hasabías, y Mathithías, y Simi: seis, bajo la mano de su padre Jeduthún, el cual profetizaba con arpa, para celebrar y alabar á Jehová.
4De Hemán: los hijos de Hemán, Buccia, Mathanía, Uzziel, Sebuel, Jerimoth, Hananías, Hanani, Eliatha, Gidalthi, Romamti-ezer, Josbecasa, Mallothi, Othir, y Mahazioth.
5Todos estos fueron hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en palabras de Dios, para ensalzar el poder suyo: y dió Dios á Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.
6Y todos estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en la música, en la casa de Jehová, con címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio del templo de Dios, por disposición del rey acerca de Asaph, de Jeduthún, y de Hemán.
7Y el número de ellos con sus hermanos instruídos en música de Jehová, todos los aptos, fué doscientos ochenta y ocho.
8Y echaron suertes para los turnos del servicio, entrando el pequeño con el grande, lo mismo el maestro que el discípulo.
9Y la primera suerte salió por Asaph, á José: la segunda á Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos é hijos fueron doce;
10La tercera á Zachûr, con sus hijos y sus hermanos, doce;

1Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
2Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.
3Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.
4Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:
5All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king’s order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
7So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
8And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
9Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:
10The third to Zaccur, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:
11The fourth to Izri, he, his sons, and his brethren, were twelve:

1Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. The number of those who did the work according to their service was:
2of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.
3Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD with the harp.
4Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
