1Weiter sonderte David mit den Heeresobersten von den Söhnen Asaphs, Hemans und Jeduthuns diejenigen aus, die auf Zithern, Harfen und mit Zimbeln als Leiter der geistlichen Kunstmusik für den heiligen Dienst tätig waren. Die Zahl der zu diesem Dienst bestellten Männer war folgende:
2Von den Söhnen Asaphs: Sakkur, Joseph, Nethanja und Asarela, die Söhne Asaphs, unter der Leitung Asaphs, der nach Anweisung des Königs geistliche Kunstmusik darbot.
3Von Jeduthun: Jeduthuns Söhne: Gedalja, Zeri, Jesaja, Hasabja, Matthithja und Simei, zusammen sechs, unter der Leitung ihres Vaters Jeduthun, der zum Lobpreis und zur Verherrlichung des HERRN geistliche Kunstmusik auf der Harfe darbot.
4Von Heman: Hemans Söhne: Bukkia, Matthanja, Ussiel, Subael, Jerimoth, Hananja, Hanani, Eliatha, Giddalthi, Romamthi-Eser, Josbekasa, Mallothi, Hothir und Mahasioth.
5Diese alle waren Söhne Hemans, des Sehers des Königs, nach der Verheißung Gottes, ihm das Horn zu erhöhen; denn Gott hatte dem Heman vierzehn Söhne und drei Töchter geschenkt.
6Diese alle waren unter der Leitung ihres Vaters Asaph beim Gesang im Tempel des HERRN mit Zimbeln, Harfen und Zithern für den Gottesdienst im Tempel nach der Anweisung des Königs, Asaphs, Jeduthuns und Hemans tätig.
7Ihre Anzahl, inbegriffen ihre Amtsgenossen, die im Gesang für den HERRN geübt waren, allesamt Künstler, betrug 288.
8Als sie nun die Losung zur Feststellung der Reihenfolge ihres Dienstes vornahmen, die jüngeren ganz wie die älteren, die Meister samt den Schülern,
9fiel das erste Los für Asaph auf Joseph nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf; das zweite auf Gedalja nebst seinen Brüdern und Söhnen, zusammen zwölf;
10das dritte auf Sakkur nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
11das vierte auf Jizri nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
12das fünfte auf Nethanja nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
13das sechste auf Bukkia nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
14das siebte auf Jesarela nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
15das achte auf Jesaja nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
16das neunte auf Matthanja nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
17das zehnte auf Simei nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
18das elfte auf Ussiel nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
19das zwölfte auf Hasabja nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
20das dreizehnte auf Subael nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
21das vierzehnte auf Matthitja nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
22das fünfzehnte auf Jeremoth nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
23das sechzehnte auf Hananja nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
24das siebzehnte auf Josbekasa nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
25das achtzehnte auf Hanani nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
26das neunzehnte auf Mallothi nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
27das zwanzigste auf Eliatha nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
28das einundzwanzigste auf Hothir nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;
29das zweiundzwanzigste auf Giddalthi nebst seinen Söhnen und Brüdern, zusammen zwölf;

1ASIMISMO David y los príncipes del ejército apartaron para el ministerio á los hijos de Asaph, y de Hemán, y de Jeduthún, los cuales profetizasen con arpas, salterios, y címbalos: y el número de ellos fué, de hombres idóneos para la obra de su ministerio respectivo:
2De los hijos de Asaph: Zachûr, José, Methanías, y Asareela, hijos de Asaph, bajo la dirección de Asaph, el cual profetizaba á la orden del rey.
3De Jeduthún: los hijos de Jeduthún, Gedalías, Sesi, Jesaías, Hasabías, y Mathithías, y Simi: seis, bajo la mano de su padre Jeduthún, el cual profetizaba con arpa, para celebrar y alabar á Jehová.
4De Hemán: los hijos de Hemán, Buccia, Mathanía, Uzziel, Sebuel, Jerimoth, Hananías, Hanani, Eliatha, Gidalthi, Romamti-ezer, Josbecasa, Mallothi, Othir, y Mahazioth.
5Todos estos fueron hijos de Hemán, vidente del rey en palabras de Dios, para ensalzar el poder suyo: y dió Dios á Hemán catorce hijos y tres hijas.
6Y todos estos estaban bajo la dirección de su padre en la música, en la casa de Jehová, con címbalos, salterios y arpas, para el ministerio del templo de Dios, por disposición del rey acerca de Asaph, de Jeduthún, y de Hemán.
7Y el número de ellos con sus hermanos instruídos en música de Jehová, todos los aptos, fué doscientos ochenta y ocho.
8Y echaron suertes para los turnos del servicio, entrando el pequeño con el grande, lo mismo el maestro que el discípulo.
9Y la primera suerte salió por Asaph, á José: la segunda á Gedalías, quien con sus hermanos é hijos fueron doce;

1Moreover David and the captains of the host separated to the service of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was:
2Of the sons of Asaph; Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaph under the hands of Asaph, which prophesied according to the order of the king.
3Of Jeduthun: the sons of Jeduthun; Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp, to give thanks and to praise the LORD.
4Of Heman: the sons of Heman; Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth:
5All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6All these were under the hands of their father for song in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, according to the king’s order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
7So the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in the songs of the LORD, even all that were cunning, was two hundred fourscore and eight.
8And they cast lots, ward against ward, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar.
9Now the first lot came forth for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah, who with his brethren and sons were twelve:

1Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals. The number of those who did the work according to their service was:
2of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah. The sons of Asaph were under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied at the order of the king.
3Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising the LORD with the harp.
4Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
