1Los descendientes de Aarón se organizaron de esta manera: los hijos de Aarón fueron Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
2Sin embargo, Nadab y Abiú murieron antes que su padre y no dejaron hijos, así que Eleazar e Itamar oficiaron como sacerdotes.
3David, con la ayuda de Sadoc (de los descendientes de Eleazar) y Ahimelec (de los descendientes de Itamar), los organizó en turnos para que cumplieran sus deberes.
4Como había más jefes de familia entre los descendientes de Eleazar que entre los de Itamar, los organizaron así: designaron dieciséis jefes de familia para los de Eleazar, y ocho jefes de familia para los de Itamar.
5Se repartieron los turnos de manera imparcial echando suertes, porque tanto en la familia de Eleazar como en la de Itamar había oficiales del santuario y oficiales de Dios.
6Semaías, hijo de Natanael, que era un escriba levita, anotó los nombres en presencia del rey, de los príncipes, del sacerdote Sadoc, de Ahimelec hijo de Abiatar, y de los jefes de familia de los sacerdotes y levitas. Por cada turno que se le daba a un descendiente de Itamar, se les daban dos a los de Eleazar.
7La primera suerte le tocó a Joiarib, la segunda a Jedaías,
8la tercera a Harim, la cuarta a Seorim,
9la quinta a Malquías, la sexta a Mijamín,
10la séptima a Cos, la octava a Abías,
11la novena a Jesúa, la décima a Secanías,
12la undécima a Eliasib, la duodécima a Jaquim,
13la decimotercera a Hupa, la decimocuarta a Jesebeab,
14la decimoquinta a Bilga, la decimosexta a Imer,
15la decimoséptima a Hezir, la decimoctava a Afses,
16la decimonovena a Petaías, la vigésima a Hezequiel,
17la vigesimoprimera a Jaquín, la vigesimosegunda a Gamul,
18la vigesimotercera a Delaías, y la vigesimocuarta a Maazías.
19Este fue el orden en que debían entrar al templo de Yahvé para cumplir con su servicio, de acuerdo con el reglamento que les dio su antepasado Aarón, tal como se lo había ordenado Yahvé, el Dios de Israel.
20En cuanto al resto de los descendientes de Leví: el jefe de los descendientes de Amram fue Subael; el jefe de los descendientes de Subael fue Jehdeías.
21El jefe de los descendientes de Rehabías fue Isías.
22El jefe de la familia de Izhar fue Selomot; el de los descendientes de Selomot fue Jahat.
23Los hijos de Hebrón fueron: Jerías, el jefe; Amarías, el segundo; Jahaziel, el tercero; y Jecamán, el cuarto.
24El jefe de la familia de Uziel fue Miqueas; el de los descendientes de Miqueas fue Samir.
25El hermano de Miqueas fue Isías; el jefe de los descendientes de Isías fue Zacarías.
26Los hijos de Merari fueron Mahli y Musi. El descendiente de Jaazías fue Beno.
27Los descendientes de Merari por la línea de Jaazías fueron Beno, Soham, Zacur e Ibri.
28El descendiente de Mahli fue Eleazar, pero él no tuvo hijos varones.
29De la línea de Cis, el descendiente fue Jerameel.
30Los hijos de Musi fueron Mahli, Eder y Jerimot. Estos fueron los levitas, agrupados según sus familias.
31Ellos también echaron suertes, igual que sus parientes, los descendientes de Aarón, estando presentes el rey David, Sadoc, Ahimelec y los jefes de las familias de los sacerdotes y de los levitas. A las familias de los hermanos mayores se les trató igual que a las familias de los hermanos menores.

1TAMBIÉN los hijos de Aarón tuvieron sus repartimientos. Los hijos de Aarón: Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar é Ithamar.
2Mas Nadab y Abiú murieron antes que su padre, y no tuvieron hijos: Eleazar é Ithamar tuvieron el sacerdocio.
3Y David los repartió, siendo Sadoc de los hijos de Eleazar, y Ahimelech de los hijos de Ithamar, por sus turnos en su ministerio.
4Y los hijos de Eleazar fueron hallados, cuanto á sus principales varones, muchos más que los hijos de Ithamar; y repartiéronlos así: De los hijos de Eleazar había dieciséis cabezas de familias paternas; y de los hijos de Ithamar por las familias de sus padres, ocho.
5Repartiéronlos pues por suerte los unos con los otros: porque de los hijos de Eleazar y de los hijos de Ithamar hubo príncipes del santuario, y príncipes de la casa de Dios.
6Y Semeías escriba, hijo de Nathanael, de los Levitas, escribiólos delante del rey y de los príncipes, y delante de Sadoc el sacerdote, y de Ahimelech hijo de Abiathar, y de los príncipes de las familias de los sacerdotes y Levitas: y adscribían una familia á Eleazar, y á Ithamar otra.
7Y la primera suerte salió por Joiarib, la segunda por Jedaía;
8La tercera por Harim, la cuarta por Seorim;
9La quinta por Malchîas, la sexta por Miamim;
10La séptima por Cos, la octava por Abías;
11La nona por Jesua, la décima por Sechânía;
12La undécima por Eliasib, la duodécima por Jacim;
13La décimatercia por Uppa, la décimacuarta por Isebeab;
14La décimaquinta por Bilga, la décimasexta por Immer;
15La décimaséptima por Hezir, la décimaoctava por Aphses;
16La décimanona por Pethaía, la vigésima por Hezeciel;
17La vigésimaprima por Jachim, la vigésimasegunda por Hamul;
18La vigésimatercia por Delaía, la vigésimacuarta por Maazía.
19Estos fueron contados en su ministerio, para que entrasen en la casa de Jehová, conforme á su ordenanza, bajo el mando de Aarón su padre, de la manera que le había mandado Jehová el Dios de Israel.
20Y de los hijos de Leví que quedaron: Subael, de los hijos de Amram; y de los hijos de Subael, Jehedías.
21Y de los hijos de Rehabía, Isias el principal.
22De los Ishareos, Selemoth; é hijo de Selemoth, Jath.

1Now these are the divisions of the sons of Aaron. The sons of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest’s office.
3And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their offices in their service.
4And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.
5Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for the governors of the sanctuary, and governors of the house of God, were of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.
6And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.
7Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,
8The third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,
9The fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,
10The seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,
11The ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,
12The eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,
13The thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

20And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of Amram; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah.
21Concerning Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah.
22Of the Izharites; Shelomoth: of the sons of Shelomoth; Jahath.
23And the sons of Hebron; Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24Of the sons of Uzziel; Michah: of the sons of Michah; Shamir.
25The brother of Michah was Isshiah: of the sons of Isshiah; Zechariah.
26The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi: the sons of Jaaziah; Beno.

28Of Mahli came Eleazar, who had no sons.
29Concerning Kish: the son of Kish was Jerahmeel.
30The sons also of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after the house of their fathers.
31These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.
