Habían más hombres líderes entre los descendientes de Eleazar que entre los descendientes de Itamar así que ellos dividieron los descendientes de Eleazar en dieciséis grupos. Ellos hicieron esto por las jefes de clanes y por los descendientes de Itamar. Estas divisiones eran ocho en número, correspondiente a sus clanes.
Y los hijos de Eleazar fueron hallados, cuanto á sus principales varones, muchos más que los hijos de Ithamar; y repartiéronlos así: De los hijos de Eleazar había dieciséis cabezas de familias paternas; y de los hijos de Ithamar por las familias de sus padres, ocho.
And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided. Among the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen chief men of the house of their fathers, and eight among the sons of Ithamar according to the house of their fathers.
