Los levitas no tendrán que cargar más el tabernáculo ni todo el equipo utilizado en su servicio."

Por las últimas palabras de David los levitas de veinte años y más fueron contados.
Así que, conforme á las postreras palabras de David, fué la cuenta de los hijos de Leví de veinte años arriba.

Su deber fue asistir a los descendientes de Aarón en el servicio de la casa del SEÑOR. Ellos iban a cuidar de los patios, los cuartos, la ceremonia de purificación de todas las cosas que le pertenecían al SEÑOR y otros trabajos en la casa de Dios.
Y estaban bajo la mano de los hijos de Aarón, para ministrar en la casa de Jehová, en los atrios y en las cámaras, y en la purificación de toda cosa santificada, y en la demás obra del ministerio de la casa de Dios;

También ellos se levantaban cada mañana para agradecer y adorar al SEÑOR. También hacían esto todas las tardes
Y para que asistiesen cada mañana todos los días á confesar y alabar á Jehová, y asimismo á la tarde;
And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even;

y cada vez que ofrecieran ofrendas quemadas al SEÑOR en el día de reposo y en los festivales de luna nueva y días de fiestas. Un número fijo asignado por decreto siempre tenía que estar presente ante el SEÑOR.
Y para ofrecer todos los holocaustos á Jehová los sábados, nuevas lunas, y solemnidades, por la cuenta y forma que tenían, continuamente delante de Jehová.
And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:
and to offer all burnt offerings to the LORD on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before the LORD;
Ellos estaban a cargo de la tienda de reunión, el lugar santo, y ayudaban a sus parientes descendientes de Aarón en el servicio de la casa del SEÑOR.
Y para que tuviesen la guarda del tabernáculo del testimonio, y la guarda del santuario, y las órdenes de los hijos de Aarón sus hermanos, en el ministerio de la casa de Jehová.
And that they should keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, in the service of the house of the LORD.
and that they should keep the duty of the Tent of Meeting, the duty of the holy place, and the duty of the sons of Aaron their brothers for the service of the LORD’s house.
