Ma Satan si levò su contro Israele: e incitò David a fare il censo d'Israele.

MAS Satanás se levantó contra Israel, é incitó á David á que contase á Israel.

And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.

Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to take a census of Israel.

David pertanto disse a Gioab, e ai capi del popolo: Andate, e numerate Israele da Bersabea sino a Dan: e riferitemi la somma, perchè io vo' saperla.

Y dijo David á Joab y á los príncipes del pueblo: Id, contad á Israel desde Beer-seba hasta Dan, y traedme el número de ellos para que yo lo sepa.

And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beer-sheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.

David said to Joab and to the princes of the people, “Go, count Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring me word, that I may know how many there are.”

E Gioab rispose: Il Signore aumenti il suo popolo cento volte più di quel, ch'egli è: ma non son eglino, o re mio signore, tutti quanti tuoi servi? Per qual motivo va cercando il signor mio di fare una cosa, che sarà imputata a peccato ad Israele?

Y dijo Joab: Añada Jehová á su pueblo cien veces otros tantos. Rey señor mío, ¿no son todos estos siervos de mi señor? ¿para qué procura mi señor esto, que será pernicioso á Israel?

And Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be: but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? why then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?

Joab said, “May the LORD make his people a hundred times as many as they are. But, my lord the king, aren’t they all my lord’s servants? Why does my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of guilt to Israel?”

Ma prevalse il parere del re: e Gioab andò, e fece il giro di tutto Israele: e tornò a Gerusalemme:

Mas el mandamiento del rey pudo más que Joab. Salió por tanto Joab, y fué por todo Israel; y volvió á Jerusalem, y dió la cuenta del número del pueblo á David.

Nevertheless the king’s word prevailed against Joab. Wherefore Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem.

E portò a David i ruoli di que' luoghi, che avea già visitati: e tutto questo numero d'Israeliti si trovò essere di un milione, e cento mila uomini atti a maneggiar la spada: e quattrocento settanta mila combattenti di Giuda.

Y hallóse en todo Israel que sacaban espada, once veces cien mil; y de Judá cuatrocientos y setenta mil hombres que sacaban espada.

And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.

Joab gave the sum of the census of the people to David. All those of Israel were one million one hundred thousand men who drew a sword; and in Judah were four hundred seventy thousand men who drew a sword.

Perocché Gioab di mala voglia adempiendo l'ordine del re, non fece il censo di Levi, e di Beniamin.

Entre estos no fueron contados los Levitas, ni los hijos de Benjamín, porque Joab abominaba el mandamiento del rey.

E a Dio dispiacque il comandamento dato dal re; e punì Israele.

Asimismo desagradó este negocio á los ojos de Dios, é hirió á Israel.

And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel.

E David disse a Dio: Ho peccato grandemente facendo tal cosa: perdona, o Signore, l'iniquità del tuo servo, perchè io stoltamente ho operato.

Y dijo David á Dios: He pecado gravemente en hacer esto: ruégote que hagas pasar la iniquidad de tu siervo, porque yo he hecho muy locamente.

And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

David said to God, “I have sinned greatly, in that I have done this thing. But now put away, I beg you, the iniquity of your servant, for I have done very foolishly.”

E il Signore parlò a Gad Veggente di David, e disse;

Y habló Jehová á Gad, vidente de David, diciendo:

And the LORD spake unto Gad, David’s seer, saying,

The LORD spoke to Gad, David’s seer, saying,

Va, e parla a Davidde, e digli: Il Signore dice così: Io ti do l'elezione di una di queste tre cose: scegli quella, che vorrai ricever da me.

Ve, y habla á David, y dile: Así ha dicho Jehová: Tres cosas te propongo; escoge de ellas una que yo haga contigo.

Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

“Go and speak to David, saying, ‘The LORD says, “I offer you three things. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.”’”

E Gad essendosi presentato a Davidde, disse: Queste cose dice il Signore: Scegli quel, che ti pare:

Y viniendo Gad á David, díjole: Así ha dicho Jehová:

So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee

So Gad came to David and said to him, “The LORD says, ‘Take your choice:

O la fame per tre anni: o per tre mesi andar fuggendo i tuoi nemici, senza poterti sottrarre alla spada loro: o che per tre dì la spada del Signore, e , la pestilenza vada in giro per il paese, e che l'Angelo del Signore vada facendo strage in tutte le regioni d'Israele: ora vedi tu quel, ch'io debba rispondere a colui, che mi ha mandato.

Escógete, ó tres años de hambre; ó ser por tres meses deshecho delante de tus enemigos, y que la espada de tus adversarios te alcance; ó por tres días la espada de Jehová y pestilencia en la tierra, y que el ángel de Jehová destruya en todo el término de Israel: mira pues qué he de responder al que me ha enviado.

Either three years’ famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.

Rispose Davidde a Gad: Dovunque io mi volga sono in angustie; ma è meglio per me il cader nelle mani del Signore (perocché molte sono le sue misericordie), che il cader nelle mani degli uomini.

Entonces David dijo á Gad: Estoy en grande angustia: ruego que yo caiga en la mano de Jehová; porque sus misericordias son muchas en extremo, y que no caiga yo en manos de hombres.

And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.

David said to Gad, “I am in distress. Let me fall, I pray, into the LORD’s hand, for his mercies are very great. Don’t let me fall into man’s hand.”

Mandò adunque il Signore la peste in Israele: e perirono d'Israele: settanta mila uomini.

Así Jehová dió pestilencia en Israel, y cayeron de Israel setenta mil hombres.

So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.

Mandò ancora l'Angelo a Gerusalemme per flagellarla: e mentre ell'era in desolazione, il Signore gettò sopra di lei il suo sguardo, ed ebbe compassione di tanto male; e intimò all'Angelo sterminatore: Non più; trattieni la tua mano. Or l'Angelo del Signore si stava presso all'aia di Ornan Jebuseo.

Y envió Jehová el ángel á Jerusalem para destruirla: pero estando él destruyendo, miró Jehová, y arrepintióse de aquel mal,

And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD beheld, and he repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

God sent an angel to Jerusalem to destroy it. As he was about to destroy, the LORD saw, and he relented of the disaster, and said to the destroying angel, “It is enough. Now withdraw your hand.” the LORD’s angel was standing by the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

E alzando Davidde i suoi occhi, vide l'Angelo del Signore, che stava tra cielo, e terra, e aveva in mano la spada sguainata volta contro Gerusalemme: e tanto egli, come i seniori vestiti di sacco, si prostraron bocconi per terra.

Y dijo al ángel que destruía: Basta ya; detén tu mano. Y el ángel de Jehová estaba junto á la era de Ornán Jebuseo.

And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.

E David disse a Dio: Non son io quegli, che ordinai, che si facesse il censo del popolo? Io sono, che ho peccato, io, che ho fatto il male: che ha meritato questo gregge? Signore Dio mio, rivolgi, ti prego, contro di me la tua mano, e contro la casa del padre mio: ma non sia flagellato il tuo popolo.

Y alzando David sus ojos, vió al ángel de Jehová, que estaba entre el cielo y la tierra, teniendo un espada desnuda en su mano, extendida contra Jerusalem. Entonces David y los ancianos se postraron sobre sus rostros, cubiertos de sacos.

And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father’s house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.

David said to God, “Isn’t it I who commanded the people to be counted? It is even I who have sinned and done very wickedly; but these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand, O LORD my God, be against me and against my father’s house; but not against your people, that they should be plagued.”

E l'Angelo del Signore comandò a Gad, che dicesse a Davidde, che andasse ad ergere un altare al Signore Dio nell'aia di Ornan Jebuseo.

Y dijo David á Dios: ¿No soy yo el que hizo contar el pueblo? Yo mismo soy el que pequé, y ciertamente he hecho mal; mas estas ovejas, ¿qué han hecho? Jehová Dios mío, sea ahora tu mano contra mí, y contra la casa de mi padre, y no haya plaga en tu pueblo.

Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Then the LORD’s angel commanded Gad to tell David that David should go up and raise an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.

Andò adunque David secondo quel, che gli avea detto Gad a nome del Signore.

Y el ángel de Jehová ordenó á Gad que dijese á David, que subiese y construyese un altar á Jehová en la era de Ornán Jebuseo.

And David went up at the saying of Gad, which he spake in the name of the LORD.

Ma Ornan, e i suoi quattro figliuoli nell'alzare gli occhi avendo veduto e l'Angelo, andarono a nascondersi: perocché allora battevano il grano nell'aia.

Entonces David subió, conforme á la palabra de Gad que le había dicho en nombre de Jehová.

And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat.

Ma in arrivando David a casa di Ornan, Ornan lo vide, e si mosse dall'aia verso di lui, e lo adorò inchinandosi fino a terra.

Y volviéndose Ornán vió al ángel; por lo que se escondieron cuatro hijos suyos que con él estaban. Y Ornán trillaba el trigo.

And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.

E David gli disse: Dammi il sito della tua aia, prendendone tu il valore e in contanti, affinchè io vi edifichi un altare al Signore, onde non sia più flagellato il popolo.

Y viniendo David á Ornán, miró éste, y vió á David: y saliendo de la era, postróse en tierra á David.

Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.

Then David said to Ornan, “Sell me the place of this threshing floor, that I may build an altar to the LORD on it. You shall sell it to me for the full price, that the plague may be stopped from afflicting the people.”

E Ornan disse a David: Prendila; o re signor mio, e fanne quel, che ti piace: anzi anche i bovi io do pell'olocausto, e le tregge per far il fuoco, e il grano pel sagrifizio: tutto volentieri darò.

Entonces dijo David á Ornán: Dame este lugar de la era, en que edifique un altar á Jehová, y dámelo por su cabal precio, para que cese la plaga del pueblo.

And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all.

Ornan said to David, “Take it for yourself, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes. Behold, I give the oxen for burnt offerings, and the threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meal offering. I give it all.”

E il re David gli disse: Non sarà così, ma io ne pagherò il valore a denaro contante: perocché non debbo io togliere a te, e così offerire al Signore olocausti, che non mi costino nulla.

Y Ornán respondió á David: Tómalo para ti, y haga mi señor el rey lo que bien le pareciere: y aun los bueyes daré para el holocausto, y los trillos para leña, y trigo para el presente: yo lo doy todo.

And king David said to Ornan, Nay; but I will verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.

King David said to Ornan, “No, but I will most certainly buy it for the full price. For I will not take that which is yours for the LORD, nor offer a burnt offering that costs me nothing.”

David dunque diede ad Ornan per prezzo del luogo secento sicli d'oro di giusto peso.

Entonces el rey David dijo á Ornán: No, sino que efectivamente la compraré por su justo precio: porque no tomaré para Jehová lo que es tuyo, ni sacrificaré holocausto que nada me cueste.

So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.

E ivi edificò un altare al Signore, e offerì olocausti, e ostie pacifiche, e invocò il Signore, il quale lo esaudì, mandando fuoco dal cielo sull'altare dell'olocausto.

And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.

David built an altar to the LORD there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on the LORD; and he answered him from the sky by fire on the altar of burnt offering.

E il Signore comandò all'Angelo di rimettere la spada nel fodero.

Y edificó allí David un altar á Jehová, en el que ofreció holocaustos y sacrificios pacíficos, é invocó á Jehová, el cual le respondió por fuego de los cielos en el altar del holocausto.

And the LORD commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.

Then the LORD commanded the angel, and he put his sword back into its sheath.

E immediatamente Davidde veggendo, come il Signore lo aveva esaudito nell'aja di Ornan Jebuseo, v'immolò delle vittime.

Y como Jehová habló al ángel, él volvió su espada á la vaina.

At that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

Or il tabernacolo del Signore fatto da Mosè nel deserto, e l'altare degli olocausti erano in quel tempo nel luogo eccelso di Gabaon.

Entonces viendo David que Jehová le había oído en la era de Ornán Jebuseo, sacrificó allí.

For the tabernacle of the LORD, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at Gibeon.

E David non ebbe forze per andare a quell'altare, per ivi pregare il Signore per l'eccessivo spavento, che aveva avuto al veder la spada dell'Angelo del Signore. Davidde prepara le cose necessarie per edificare il tempio del Signore, e ordina a Salomone di fabbricarlo, e di onorare sempre con ogni studio il Signore. Esorta i principi ad assisterlo.

Y el tabernáculo de Jehová que Moisés había hecho en el desierto, y el altar del holocausto, estaban entonces en el alto de Gabaón: Mas David no pudo ir allá á consultar á Dios, porque estaba espantado á causa de la espada del ángel de Jehová.

But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
