Pero al final la palabra del rey fue en contra Joab. Por tanto, Joab se fué y cruzó por todo Israel. Entonces, él regresó a Jerusalén.

Mas el mandamiento del rey pudo más que Joab. Salió por tanto Joab, y fué por todo Israel; y volvió á Jerusalem, y dió la cuenta del número del pueblo á David.
