12die Pathrusiter, die Kasluhiter und die Kaphthoriter, von denen die Philister ausgegangen sind.
13Kanaan aber zeugte Sidon, seinen Erstgebornen, und Heth
14und die Jebusiter, die Amoriter, die Girgasiter,
15die Hewiter, die Arkiter, die Siniter,
16die Arwaditer, die Zamariter und die Hamathiter.
17Die Söhne Sems: Elam, Assur, Arpachsad, Lud und Aram; die Söhne Arams: Uz, Hul, Gether und Mas.
18Arpachsad aber zeugte Selah, und Selah zeugte Heber.
19Heber wurden zwei Söhne geboren; einer hiess Peleg, weil die Menschheit sich zu seiner Zeit zerteilte, und sein Bruder hiess Joktan. (1) d.i. Teilung.
20Joktan aber zeugte Almodad, Seleph, Hazarmawet, Jerah,

23Ophir, Havila, y Jobab: todos hijos de Joctán.
