Gioab adunque comprendendo, come si volea combatterlo di fronte, e alle spalle, scelse gli uomini più valorosi di tutto Israele, e andò contro i Siri.

Y viendo Joab que la haz de la batalla estaba contra él delante y á las espaldas, escogió de todos los más aventajados que había en Israel, y ordenó su escuadrón contra los Siros.
