É mise presidio in Damasco, onde anche la Siria fosse soggetta a lui, e gli offerisse tributi. E il Signore gli diede aiuto in tutto le sue imprese.

Y puso David guarnición en Siria la de Damasco, y los Siros fueron hechos siervos de David, trayéndole presentes: porque Jehová salvaba á David donde quiera que iba.

Then David put garrisons in Syria-damascus; and the Syrians became David’s servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.
