Estos levitas fueron Asaf, el líder, y el segundo después de él, Zacarías, Jeiel, Semiramot, Jehiel, Matatias, Eliab, Benaía, Obed-Edom y Jeiel. Estos debían tocar instrumentos de cuerda y arpas. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos fuertemente.
Asaph el primero, el segundo después de él Zachârías, Jeiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Mathithías, Eliab, Benaías, Obed-edom, y Jehiel, con sus instrumentos de salterios y arpas; mas Asaph hacía sonido con címbalos:

Den al SEÑOR la gloria que merece su nombre. Traigan una ofrenda y vengan delante de Él. Inclínense delante del SEÑOR en su santo esplendor.

Que ruja el mar y todo lo que lo llena grite de alegría. Que los campos se alegren y todo lo que hay en ellos.

Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.

Que el SEÑOR, Dios de Israel, sea alabado desde la eternidad hasta la eternidad. Todo el pueblo dijo: "Amen" y alabaron al SEÑOR.

Así que David dejó a Asaf y a sus hermanos allí frente al arca del pacto del SEÑOR, para servir contínuamente frente al arca, de acuerdo a su trabajo requerido a diario.
Y dejó allí, delante del arca del pacto de Jehová, á Asaph y á sus hermanos, para que ministrasen de continuo delante del arca, cada cosa en su día:
So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required:

Obed-Edom con los sesenta y ocho familiares estaban incluidos. Obed-Edom, hijo de Jedutún, juntamente con Hosa, fueron los porteros.
Y á Obed-edom y á sus hermanos, sesenta y ocho; y á Obed-edom hijo de Jeduthún, y á Asa, por porteros:
And Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:

Sadoc, el sacerdote, y sus compañeros sacerdotes estaban para servir frente al tabernáculo del SEÑOR en el lugar alto en Gabaón.
Asimismo á Sadoc el sacerdote, y á sus hermanos los sacerdotes, delante del tabernáculo de Jehová en el alto que estaba en Gabaón,
And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,

Ellos tenian que ofrecer ofrendas quemadas al SEÑOR contínuamente mañana y noche, de acuerdo con todo lo escrito en la ley del SEÑOR, que fue entregada como mandato a Israel.
Para que sacrificasen continuamente, á mañana y tarde, holocaustos á Jehová en el altar del holocausto, conforme á todo lo que está escrito en la ley de Jehová, que él prescribió á Israel;
To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;

Hemán y Jedutún estaban con ellos juntamente con el resto que fueron escogidos por nombre, para dar gracias al SEÑOR, por su eterno pacto de fidelidad.
Y con ellos á Hemán y á Jeduthún, y los otros escogidos declarados por sus nombres, para glorificar á Jehová, porque es eterna su misericordia;
And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;

Hemán y Jedutún estaban a cargo de tocar las trompetas, címbalos y otros instrumentos para la música sagrada. Los hijos de Jedutún guardaban la puerta.
Con ellos á Hemán y á Jeduthún con trompetas y címbalos para tañer, y con otros instrumentos de música de Dios; y á los hijos de Jeduthún, por porteros.
And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.

Entonces todo el pueblo regresó a sus casas y David regresó y bendijo a su propia familia.
