1Ils amenèrent donc l’Arche de Dieu, et la posèrent dans le tabernacle que David lui avait tendu ; et on offrit devant Dieu des holocaustes et des sacrifices de prospérités.
2Et quand David eut achevé d’offrir les holocaustes et les sacrifices de prospérités, il bénit le peuple au Nom de l’Eternel.
3Et il distribua à chacun, tant aux hommes qu’aux femmes, un pain, et une pièce de chair, et une bouteille de vin.
4Et il établit quelques-uns des Lévites devant l’Arche de l’Eternel, pour y faire le service, pour célébrer, remercier, et louer le Dieu d’Israël.
5Asaph était le premier, et Zacharie le second, Jéhiël, Sémiramoth, Jéhiël, Mattitia, Eliab, Bénéja, Hobed-Edom, et Jéchiël, qui avaient des instruments de musique, savoir des musettes et des violons ; et Asaph faisait retentir sa voix avec des cymbales.
6Et Bénéja et Jahaziël Sacrificateurs étaient continuellement avec des trompettes devant l’Arche de l’alliance de Dieu.
7Et en ce même jour David remit entre les mains d’Asaph et de ses frères, les Psaumes suivants, pour commencer à célébrer l’Eternel.
8CELEBREZ l’Eternel, invoquez son Nom, faites connaître parmi les peuples ses exploits.
9Chantez lui, psalmodiez lui, parlez de toutes ses merveilles.
10Glorifiez-vous du Nom de sa sainteté ; que le coeur de ceux qui cherchent l’Eternel se réjouisse.
11Recherchez l’Eternel et sa force, cherchez continuellement sa face.
12Souvenez-vous des merveilles qu’il a faites ; de ses miracles, et des jugements de sa bouche.
13La postérité d’Israël sont ses serviteurs ; les enfants de Jacob sont ses
14Il est l’Eternel notre Dieu ; ses jugements sont par toute la terre.
15Souvenez-vous toujours de son alliance, de la parole qu’il a prescrite en mille générations ;
16Du traité qu’il a fait avec Abraham ; et de son serment fait à Isaac ;
17Lequel il a confirmé à Jacob et à Israël, pour être une ordonnance et une alliance éternelle.
18En disant : Je te donnerai le pays de Canaan, pour le lot de ton héritage ;
19Encore que vous soyez un petit nombre de gens, et même que vous y séjourniez depuis peu de temps, comme étrangers.
20Car ils étaient errants de nation en nation, et d’un Royaume vers un autre peuple.
21Il n’a pas souffert qu’aucun les outrageât ; même il a châtié les Rois pour l’amour d’eux.
22Et il a dit: Ne touchez point à mes Oints, et ne faites point de mal à mes Prophètes.
23TOUTE la terre, chantez à l’Eternel, prêchez chaque jour sa délivrance ;
24Racontez sa gloire parmi les nations, et ses merveilles parmi tous les peuples.
25Car l’Eternel est grand, et très-digne de louange, il est plus redoutable que tous les dieux.
26Et en effet tous les dieux des peuples sont des idoles ; mais l’Eternel a fait les cieux.
27La Majesté et la magnificence marchent devant lui ; la force et la joie sont dans le lieu où il habite.
28Familles des peuples, attribuez à l’Eternel, attribuez à l’Eternel gloire et force.
29Attribuez à l’Eternel la gloire due à son Nom ; apportez l’oblation, et présentez-vous devant lui ; prosternez-vous devant l’Eternel avec une sainte magnificence.
30Vous tous les habitants de la terre tremblez, tout étonnés pour la présence de sa face ; car la terre habitable est affermie par lui, sans qu’elle soit ébranlée.
31Que les cieux se réjouissent, que la terre s’égaye, et qu’on dise parmi les nations : L’Eternel règne.
32Que la mer et tout ce qu’elle contient bruie ; que les champs et tout ce qui est en eux se réjouissent.
33Alors les arbres de la forêt crieront de joie au devant de l’Eternel, parce qu’il vient juger la terre.
34Célébrez l’Eternel, car il est bon ; parce que sa gratuité demeure à jamais.
35Et dites : Ô Dieu ! de notre salut, sauve-nous, et nous rassemble, et nous retire d’entre les nations, pour célébrer ton saint Nom, et pour nous glorifier en ta louange.
36Béni soit l’Eternel le Dieu d’Israël, depuis un siècle jusqu’à l’autre ! Et tout le peuple dit : Amen ; et on loua l’Eternel.
37On laissa donc là devant l’Arche de l’alliance de l’Eternel, Asaph et ses frères, pour faire le service continuellement, selon ce qu’il y avait à faire chaque jour devant l’Arche.
38Et Hobed-Edom, et ses frères, au nombre de soixante-huit, Hobed-Edom, dis- je, fils de Jéduthun, et Hosa pour portiers.
39Et on laissa Tsadoc le Sacrificateur, et ses frères Sacrificateurs, devant le pavillon de l’Eternel, dans le haut lieu qui était à Gabaon,
40Pour offrir des holocaustes à l’Eternel continuellement sur l’autel de l’holocauste, le matin, et le soir, et pour faire toutes les choses qui sont écrites dans la Loi de l’Eternel, lesquelles il avait commandées à Israël ;
41Et avec eux Héman et Jéduthun, et les autres qui furent choisis et marqués par leur nom, pour célébrer l’Eternel, parce que sa gratuité demeure éternellement.
42Et Héman et Jéduthun étaient avec ceux-là ; il y avait aussi des trompettes, et des cymbales pour ceux qui faisaient retentir leur voix, et des instruments pour chanter les cantiques de Dieu ; et les fils de Jéduthun étaient portiers.
43Puis tout le peuple s’en alla chacun en sa maison, et David aussi s’en retourna pour bénir sa maison.

1ASÍ trajeron el arca de Dios, y asentáronla en medio de la tienda que David había tendido para ella: y ofrecieron holocaustos y pacíficos delante de Dios.
2Y como David hubo acabado de ofrecer el holocausto y los pacíficos, bendijo al pueblo en el nombre de Jehová.
3Y repartió á todo Israel, así á hombres como á mujeres, á cada uno una torta de pan, y una pieza de carne, y un frasco de vino.
4Y puso delante del arca de Jehová ministros de los Levitas, para que recordasen, y confesasen, y loasen á Jehová Dios de Israel:
5Asaph el primero, el segundo después de él Zachârías, Jeiel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Mathithías, Eliab, Benaías, Obed-edom, y Jehiel, con sus instrumentos de salterios y arpas; mas Asaph hacía sonido con címbalos:
6Benaías también y Jahaziel, sacerdotes, continuamente con trompetas delante del arca del pacto de Dios.
7Entonces, en aquel día, dió David principio á celebrar á Jehová por mano de Asaph y de sus hermanos:
8Confesad á Jehová, invocad su nombre, haced notorias en los pueblos sus obras.
9Cantad á él, cantadle salmos; hablad de todas sus maravillas.
10Gloriaos en su santo nombre; alégrese el corazón de los que buscan á Jehová.
11Buscad á Jehová y su fortaleza; buscad su rostro continuamente.
12Haced memoria de sus maravillas que ha obrado, de sus prodigios, y de los juicios de su boca,
13Oh vosotros, simiente de Israel su siervo, hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.
14Jehová, él es nuestro Dios; sus juicios en toda la tierra.
15Haced memoria de su alianza perpetuamente, y de la palabra que él mandó en mil generaciones;
16Del pacto que concertó con Abraham, y de su juramento á Isaac;
17El cual confirmó á Jacob por estatuto, y á Israel por pacto sempiterno,
18Diciendo: A ti daré la tierra de Canaán, suerte de vuestra herencia;
19Cuando erais pocos en número, pocos y peregrinos en ella;
20Y andaban de nación en nación, y de un reino á otro pueblo.
21No permitió que nadie los oprimiese: antes por amor de ellos castigó á los reyes.
22No toquéis, dijo, á mis ungidos, ni hagáis mal á mis profetas.
23Cantad á Jehová, toda la tierra, anunciad de día en día su salud.
24Cantad entre las gentes su gloria, y en todos los pueblos sus maravillas.
25Porque grande es Jehová, y digno de ser grandemente loado, y de ser temido sobre todos los dioses.
26Porque todos los dioses de los pueblos son nada: mas Jehová hizo los cielos.
27Poderío y hermosura delante de él; fortaleza y alegría en su morada.
28Atribuid á Jehová, oh familias de los pueblos, atribuid á Jehová gloria y potencia.
29Tributad á Jehová la gloria debida á su nombre: traed ofrenda, y venid delante de él; postraos delante de Jehová en la hermosura de su santidad.
30Temed en su presencia, toda la tierra: el mundo será aún establecido, para que no se conmueva.
31Alégrense los cielos, y gócese la tierra, y digan en las naciones: Reina Jehová.
32Resuene la mar, y la plenitud de ella: alégrese el campo, y todo lo que contiene.
33Entonces cantarán los árboles de los bosques delante de Jehová, porque viene á juzgar la tierra.
34Celebrad á Jehová, porque es bueno; porque su misericordia es eterna.
35Y decid: Sálvanos, oh Dios, salud nuestra: júntanos, y líbranos de las gentes, para que confesemos tu santo nombre, y nos gloriemos en tus alabanzas.
36Bendito sea Jehová Dios de Israel, de eternidad á eternidad. Y dijo todo el pueblo, Amén: y alabó á Jehová.
37Y dejó allí, delante del arca del pacto de Jehová, á Asaph y á sus hermanos, para que ministrasen de continuo delante del arca, cada cosa en su día:
38Y á Obed-edom y á sus hermanos, sesenta y ocho; y á Obed-edom hijo de Jeduthún, y á Asa, por porteros:
39Asimismo á Sadoc el sacerdote, y á sus hermanos los sacerdotes, delante del tabernáculo de Jehová en el alto que estaba en Gabaón,
40Para que sacrificasen continuamente, á mañana y tarde, holocaustos á Jehová en el altar del holocausto, conforme á todo lo que está escrito en la ley de Jehová, que él prescribió á Israel;
41Y con ellos á Hemán y á Jeduthún, y los otros escogidos declarados por sus nombres, para glorificar á Jehová, porque es eterna su misericordia;
42Con ellos á Hemán y á Jeduthún con trompetas y címbalos para tañer, y con otros instrumentos de música de Dios; y á los hijos de Jeduthún, por porteros.
43Y todo el pueblo se fué cada uno á su casa; y David se volvió para bendecir su casa.

1So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
2And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.
3And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.
4And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:
5Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
6Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
7Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
8Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
9Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
10Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
11Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
12Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
13O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
15Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
17And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
19When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
20And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
21He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
22Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
23Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
24Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
25For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
26For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
27Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
28Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
29Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
30Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
31Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
32Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.
34O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
35And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
36Blessed be the LORD God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the LORD.
37So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required:
38And Obed-edom with their brethren, threescore and eight; Obed-edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be porters:
39And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon,
40To offer burnt offerings unto the LORD upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the LORD, which he commanded Israel;
41And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever;
42And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.
43And all the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.
World English Bible
1They brought in God’s ark, and set it in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
2When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the LORD’s name.
3He gave to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.
4He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the LORD’s ark, and to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the LORD, the God of Israel:
5Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;
6with Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
7Then on that day David first ordained giving of thanks to the LORD by the hand of Asaph and his brothers.
8Oh give thanks to the LORD. Call on his name. Make what he has done known among the peoples.
9Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.
10Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
11Seek the LORD and his strength. Seek his face forever more.
12Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
13you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

33Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.

38and Obed-Edom with their sixty-eight relatives; Obed-Edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;
39and Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests, before the LORD’s tabernacle in the high place that was at Gibeon,
40to offer burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the LORD’s law, which he commanded to Israel;
41and with them Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his loving kindness endures forever;
42and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.
43All the people departed, each man to his house; and David returned to bless his house.
