1Davi também fez casas para si em sua cidade, e preparou um lugar para a arca de Deus, e lhe armou uma tenda.
2Então Davi disse: Ninguém pode trazer a arca de Deus, a não ser os levitas; porque o SENHOR os escolheu para que transportassem a arca do SENHOR, e para lhe servirem eternamente.
3E Davi ajuntou a todo Israel em Jerusalém, para fazerem subir a arca do SENHOR a seu lugar, que ele tinha lhe preparado.
4Davi também ajuntou aos filhos de Arão e aos levitas:
5Dos filhos de Coate, Uriel o principal, e seus irmãos, cento e vinte;
6Dos filhos de Merari, Asaías o principal, e seus irmãos, duzentos e vinte;
7Dos filhos de Gérson, Joel o principal, e seus irmãos, cento e trinta;
8Dos filhos de Elisafã, Semaías o principal, e seus irmãos, duzentos;
9Dos filhos de Hebrom, Eliel o principal, e seus irmãos, oitenta;
10Dos filhos de Uziel, Amidadabe o principal, e seus irmãos, cento e doze.
11E Davi chamou aos sacerdotes Zadoque e Abiatar, e a os levitas Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semaías, Eliel, e Aminadabe;
12E disse-lhes: Vós que sois os chefes das famílias entre os levitas, santificai-vos, vós e vossos irmãos, e fazei subir a arca do SENHOR, Deus de Israel, ao lugar que eu lhe preparei;
13Pois por não terdes feito assim vós da primeira vez, o SENHOR nosso Deus fez nos atingiu, porque não o buscamos conforme o mandamento.
14Assim os sacerdotes e os levitas se santificaram para trazerem a arca do SENHOR Deus de Israel.
15E os filhos dos levitas trouxeram a arca de Deus com as barras sobre seus ombros, assim como Moisés tinha mandado conforme a palavra do SENHOR.
16E Davi disse aos chefes dos levitas que constituíssem de seus irmãos cantores com instrumentos musicais, com saltérios, e harpas, e címbalos; para que fizessem sons e levantassem a voz com alegria.
17Então os levitas constituíram a Hemã, filho de Joel; e de seus irmãos, a Asafe filho de Berequias; e dos filhos de Merari e de seus irmãos, a Etã filho de Cusaías;
18E com eles a seus irmãos da segundo ordem, a Zacarias, Bene e Jaaziel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Uni, Eliabe, Benaia, Maaseias, Matitias, Elifeleu, Micneias, Obede-Edom, e Jeiel, os porteiros.
19E os cantores: Hemã, Asafe, e Etã, fizeram sons com címbalos de metal.
20E Zacarias, Aziel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Uni, Eliabe, Maaseias, e Benaia, com saltérios sobre Alamote.
21E Matitias, Elifeleu, Micneias, Obede-Edom, Jeiel, e Azazias, tocavam ao modo de Seminite.
22E Quenanias, chefe dos levitas, estava encarregado de conduzir o cântico; ele ensinava o cântico porque era entendido.
23E Berequias e Elcana eram porteiros da arca.
24E os sacerdotes Sebanias, Josafá, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarias, Benaia, e Eliézer, tocavam as trombetas diante da arca de Deus; e Obede-Edom e Jeías eram porteiros da arca.
25Sucedeu, pois, que Davi, os anciãos de Israel, e os capitães de milhares, foram fazer subir a arca do pacto do SENHOR, de casa de Obede-Edom, com alegria.
26E foi que, por Deus estar ajudando os levitas que levavam a arca do pacto do SENHOR, eles sacrificaram sete novilhos e sete carneiros.
27E Davi ia vestido de um roupão de linho fino, como também todos os levitas que levavam a arca, e os cantores; e Quenanias era o chefe da música e dos cantores. Davi também levava sobre si um éfode de linho.
28Assim todo Israel fez subir a arca do pacto do SENHOR, com júbilo, som de cornetas e trombetas, e címbalos, e ao som de saltérios e harpas.
29E foi que, quando a arca do pacto do SENHOR chegou à cidade de Davi, Mical, filha de Saul, olhou por uma janela, e viu o rei Davi dançando e saltando; e ela o desprezou em seu coração.

1HIZO también casas para sí en la ciudad de David, y labró un lugar para el arca de Dios, y tendióle una tienda.
2Entonces dijo David: El arca de Dios no debe ser traída sino por los Levitas; porque á ellos ha elegido Jehová para que lleven el arca de Jehová, y le sirvan perpetuamente.
3Y juntó David á todo Israel en Jerusalem, para que pasasen el arca de Jehová á su lugar, el cual le había él preparado.
4Juntó también David á los hijos de Aarón y á los Levitas:
5De los hijos de Coath, Uriel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y veinte;
6De los hijos de Merari, Asaías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos y veinte;
7De los hijos de Gersón, Joel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y treinta;
8De los hijos de Elisaphán, Semeías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos;
9De los hijos de Hebrón, Eliel el principal, y sus hermanos, ochenta;
10De los hijos de Uzziel, Aminadab el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y doce.
11Y llamó David á Sadoc y á Abiathar, sacerdotes, y á los Levitas, Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semeías, Eliel, y Aminadab;
12Y díjoles: Vosotros que sois los principales de padres entre los Levitas, santificaos, vosotros y vuestros hermanos, y pasad el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel al lugar que le he preparado;
13Pues por no haberlo hecho así vosotros la primera vez, Jehová nuestro Dios hizo en nosotros rotura, por cuanto no le buscamos según la ordenanza.
14Así los sacerdotes y los Levitas se santificaron para traer el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel.
15Y los hijos de los Levitas trajeron el arca de Dios puesta sobre sus hombros en las barras, como lo había mandado Moisés conforme á la palabra de Jehová.
16Asimismo dijo David á los principales de los Levitas, que constituyesen de sus hermanos cantores, con instrumentos de música, con salterios, y arpas, y címbalos, que resonasen, y alzasen la voz con alegría.
17Y los Levitas constituyeron á Hemán hijo de Joel; y de sus hermanos, á Asaph hijo de Berechîas; y de los hijos de Merari y de sus hermanos, á Ethán hijo de Cusaías;
18Y con ellos á sus hermanos del segundo orden, á Zachârías, Ben y Jaaziel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaías, Maasías, y Mathithías, Eliphelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, y Jehiel, los porteros.
19Así Hemán, Asaph, y Ethán, que eran cantores, sonaban con címbalos de metal.
20Y Zachârías, Jaaziel, Semiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maasías, y Benaías, con salterios sobre Alamoth.
21Y Mathithías, Eliphelehu, Micnías, Obed-edom, Jehiel, y Azazías, cantaban con arpas en la octava sobresaliendo.
22Y Chênanías, principal de los Levitas, estaba para la entonación; pues él presidía en el canto, porque era entendido.
23Y Berechîas y Elcana eran porteros del arca.
24Y Sebanías, Josaphat, Nathanael, Amasai, Zachârías, Benaías, y Eliezer, sacerdotes, tocaban las trompetas delante del arca de Dios: Obed-edom y Jehías eran también porteros del arca.
25David pues y los ancianos de Israel, y los capitanes de millares, fueron á traer el arca del pacto de Jehová, de casa de Obed-edom, con alegría.
26Y ayudando Dios á los Levitas que llevaban el arca del pacto de Jehová, sacrificaban siete novillos y siete carneros.
27Y David iba vestido de lino fino y también todos los Levitas que llevaban el arca, y asimismo los cantores; y Chênanías era maestro de canto entre los cantores. Llevaba también David sobre sí un ephod de lino.
28De esta manera llevaba todo Israel el arca del pacto de Jehová, con júbilo y sonido de bocinas, y trompetas, y címbalos, y al son de salterios y arpas.
29Y como el arca del pacto de Jehová llegó á la ciudad de David, Michâl, hija de Saúl, mirando por una ventana, vió al rey David que saltaba y bailaba; y menospreciólo en su corazón.

1And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
4And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
5Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
6Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
7Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
8Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
9Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
10Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
11And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
14So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
16And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, the porters.
19So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;
20And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
21And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
22And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.
23And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed-edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obed-edom with joy.
26And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
27And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
28Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

1David made himself houses in David’s city; and he prepared a place for God’s ark, and pitched a tent for it.
2Then David said, “No one ought to carry God’s ark but the Levites. For the LORD has chosen them to carry God’s ark, and to minister to him forever.”
3David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem, to bring up the LORD’s ark to its place, which he had prepared for it.
4David gathered together the sons of Aaron and the Levites:
5of the sons of Kohath, Uriel the chief, and his brothers one hundred twenty;
6of the sons of Merari, Asaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred twenty;
7of the sons of Gershom, Joel the chief, and his brothers one hundred thirty;
8of the sons of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chief, and his brothers two hundred;
9of the sons of Hebron, Eliel the chief, and his brothers eighty;
10of the sons of Uzziel, Amminadab the chief, and his brothers one hundred twelve.
11David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,
12and said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ households of the Levites. Sanctify yourselves, both you and your brothers, that you may bring the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel, up to the place that I have prepared for it.
13For because you didn’t carry it at first, the LORD our God broke out in anger against us, because we didn’t seek him according to the ordinance.”
14So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD, the God of Israel.
15The children of the Levites bore God’s ark on their shoulders with its poles, as Moses commanded according to the LORD’s word.
16David spoke to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, sounding aloud and lifting up their voices with joy.
17So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brothers, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18and with them their brothers of the second rank: Zechariah, Ben, Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, the doorkeepers.
19So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were given cymbals of bronze to sound aloud;
20and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;
21and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps tuned to the eight-stringed lyre, to lead.
22Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was over the singing. He taught the singers, because he was skillful.
23Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before God’s ark; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25So David, the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands went to bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant up out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.
26When God helped the Levites who bore the ark of the LORD’s covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.
27David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who bore the ark, the singers, and Chenaniah the choir master with the singers; and David had an ephod of linen on him.
