1Estes são os nomes dos homens valentes na guerra, que se juntaram a Davi em Ziclague, quando ele fugia de Saul, filho de Quis.
2Todos eles atiravam muito bem com o arco e com a funda, e podiam usar tanto a mão esquerda como a direita! Como o rei Saul, todos eles eram da tribo de Benjamim:
3O chefe deles era Aiezer, filho de Semaá, de Gibeá. Os outros eram: Joás, irmão dele; Jeziel e Pelete, filhos de Azmavete; Beraca; Jeú, de Anatote;
4e Ismaías, de Gibeom, um soldado valente entre os trinta, e chefe deles; Jeremias; Jaaziel; Joanã; Jozabade, de Gederá;
5Eluzai; Jerimote; Bealias; Semarias; Sefatias, de Harufe;
6Elcana, Issias, Azareel, Joezer, Jasobeão — todos da família de Corá;
7e Joela e Zebadias, filhos de Jeroão, de Gedor.
8Homens corajosos e importantes da tribo de Gade também se juntaram a Davi no seu refúgio no deserto. Eles sabiam lutar muito bem com escudo ou com lança, e eram homens com a bravura de um leão, e rápidos como veados nas montanhas.
9Ézer era o primeiro; Obadias, o segundo; Eliabe, o terceiro;
10O quarto em comando era Mismana; Jeremias era o quinto;
11Atai, o sexto; Eliel, o sétimo;
12Joana, o oitavo; Elzabade era o nono;
13Jeremias, o décimo; e Macbanai, o décimo primeiro.
14Esses homens eram oficiais do exército; o menos valente deles valia por cem soldados, e o mais corajoso valia por mil!
15Eles atravessaram o rio Jordão no primeiro mês do ano, na época em que o rio transbordava e as águas inundavam tudo, e conquistaram as terras planas que ficavam a leste e a oeste das margens do rio, pondo em fuga os moradores da região.
16Outros se juntaram a Davi, no seu esconderijo; eles eram dos filhos de Benjamim e de Judá.
17Davi foi encontrar-se com eles e disse: “Se vocês vieram em paz para me ajudar, somos amigos; mas se vieram pensando em traição, para me entregar aos inimigos quando sou inocente, então que o Deus de nossos pais veja isso e julgue vocês”.
18Então o Espírito desceu sobre Amasai, o chefe dos trinta, que exclamou: “Nós somos seus, ó Davi; Estamos a seu lado, ó filho de Jessé. Paz, paz seja com você, e paz com os seus aliados, pois o seu Deus está com você”. Assim Davi deixou que eles ficassem, e deu a eles o posto de chefes de tropas.
19Alguns homens de Manassés abandonaram o exército israelita e se uniram a Davi na ocasião em que ele ia com os filisteus fazer guerra contra o rei Saul. Mas aconteceu que os príncipes dos filisteus não permitiram que Davi e seus homens fossem com eles. Depois de muita discussão, mandaram embora Davi e seus soldados, dizendo: “Pagaremos com a nossa vida, caso Davi passe para Saul, seu senhor”.
20Estes foram os homens de Manassés que se uniram a Davi, quando ele ia para Ziclague: Adna, Jozabade, Jediael, Micael, Jozabade, Eliú e Ziletai. Todos eram oficiais que comandavam batalhões de mil de Manassés.
21Eles ajudaram Davi contra aquelas tropas, pois eram valentes e sabiam lutar muito bem.
22Dia a dia mais homens juntavam-se a Davi até que ele passou a ter um exército muito grande — o exército de Deus.
23Aqui está o registro do número de soldados armados para a guerra que se uniram a Davi em Hebrom, para ajudá-lo a tornar-se rei em lugar de Saul, conforme o Senhor havia dito:
24da tribo de Judá, 6.800 soldados armados com escudos e lanças;
25da tribo de Simeão, 7.100 soldados valentes;
26da tribo de Levi, 4.600,
27Joiada, líder da família de Arão, com 3.700 homens,
28e Zadoque, um jovem de coragem fora do comum, com 22 oficiais, membros da sua família;
29da tribo de Benjamim, a mesma tribo de Saul, havia 3.000, uma grande parte dessa tribo permaneceu fiel à família de Saul;
30da tribo de Efraim, 20.800 soldados valentes, cada um deles muito respeitado em seus grupos de famílias;
31da meia tribo de Manassés, 18.000 foram enviados com a única finalidade de ajudar Davi a tornar-se rei;
32da tribo de Issacar, 200 chefes, todos homens que conheciam bem os fatos daquele tempo e sabiam qual o melhor caminho para Israel seguir. Eles comandavam todos os seus parentes;
33da tribo de Zebulom, 50.000 soldados treinados, muito bem preparados para a batalha com qualquer tipo de arma, e eram sinceros na ajuda a Davi;
34da tribo de Naftali havia 1.000 oficiais e 37.000 soldados armados com escudos e lanças;
35da tribo de Dã, 28.600 soldados, todos preparados para a guerra;
36da tribo de Aser, 40.000 soldados treinados e prontos para a guerra;
37do outro lado do rio Jordão, onde moravam as tribos de Rúben e Gade e a meia tribo de Manassés, 120.000 soldados. Esses soldados tinham todos os tipos de armas.
38Todos esses homens vieram em ordem de batalha a Hebrom com o único objetivo de fazer Davi rei de Israel. Na verdade, todo o povo de Israel estava preparado para esta mudança.
39Durante três dias, eles comeram e beberam com Davi, pois suas famílias haviam fornecido provisões para eles.
40Os moradores das tribos vizinhas e de lugares distantes como Issacar, Zebulom e Naftali, trouxeram alimentos sobre jumentos, sobre camelos, sobre mulos e sobre bois. Trouxeram grandes quantidades de farinha, bolos de figos, uvas secas, vinho, azeite, bois e ovelhas para as festas, pois a alegria se havia espalhado por toda a terra de Israel.

1ESTOS son los que vinieron á David á Siclag, estando él aún encerrado por causa de Saúl hijo de Cis, y eran de los valientes ayudadores de la guerra.
2Estaban armados de arcos, y usaban de ambas manos en tirar piedras con honda, y saetas con arco. De los hermanos de Saúl de Benjamín:
3El principal Ahiezer, después Joas, hijos de Semaa Gabaathita; y Jeziel, y Pheleth, hijos de Azmaveth, y Beracah, y Jehú Anathothita;
4E Ismaías Gabaonita, valiente entre los treinta, y más que los treinta; y Jeremías, Jahaziel, Joanán, Jozabad Gederathita,
5Eluzai, y Jeremoth, Bealías, Semarías, y Sephatías Haruphita;
6Elcana, é Isías, y Azareel, y Joezer, y Jasobam, de Coré;
7Y Joela, y Zebadías, hijos de Jeroham de Gedor.
8También de los de Gad se huyeron á David, estando en la fortaleza en el desierto, muy valientes hombres de guerra para pelear, dispuestos á hacerlo con escudo y pavés: sus rostros como rostros de leones, y ligeros como las cabras monteses.
9Eser el primero, Obadías el segundo, Eliab el tercero,
10Mismana el cuarto, Jeremías el quinto,
11Attai el sexto, Eliel el séptimo,
12Johanán el octavo, Elzabad el nono,
13Jeremías el décimo, Machbani el undécimo.
14Estos fueron capitanes del ejército de los hijos de Gad. El menor tenía cargo de cien hombres, y el mayor de mil.
15Estos pasaron el Jordán en el mes primero, cuando había salido sobre todas sus riberas; é hicieron huir á todos los de los valles al oriente y al poniente.
16Asimismo algunos de los hijos de Benjamín y de Judá vinieron á David á la fortaleza.
17Y David salió á ellos, y hablóles diciendo: Si habéis venido á mí para paz y para ayudarme, mi corazón será unido con vosotros; mas si para engañarme en pro de mis enemigos, siendo mis manos sin iniquidad, véalo el Dios de nuestros padres, y demándelo.
18Entonces se envistió el espíritu en Amasai, príncipe de treinta, y dijo: Por ti, oh David, y contigo, oh hijo de Isaí. Paz, paz contigo, y paz con tus ayudadores; pues que también tu Dios te ayuda. Y David los recibió, y púsolos entre los capitanes de la cuadrilla.
19También se pasaron á David algunos de Manasés, cuando vino con los Filisteos á la batalla contra Saúl, aunque no les ayudaron; porque los sátrapas de los Filisteos, habido consejo, lo despidieron, diciendo: Con nuestras cabezas se pasará á su señor Saúl.
20Así que viniendo él á Siclag, se pasaron á él de los de Manasés, Adnas, Jozabad, Jediaiel, Michâel, Jozabad, Eliú, y Sillethai, príncipes de millares de los de Manasés.
21Estos ayudaron á David contra aquella compañía; porque todos ellos eran hombres valientes, y fueron capitanes en el ejército.
22Porque entonces todos los días venía ayuda á David, hasta hacerse un grande ejército, como ejército de Dios.
23Y este es el número de los principales que estaban á punto de guerra, y vinieron á David en Hebrón, para traspasarle el reino de Saúl, conforme á la palabra de Jehová:
24De los hijos de Judá que traían escudo y lanza, seis mil y ochocientos, á punto de guerra.
25De los hijos de Simeón, valientes y esforzados hombres para la guerra, siete mil y ciento.
26De los hijos de Leví, cuatro mil y seiscientos;
27Asimismo Joiada, príncipe de los del linaje de Aarón, y con él tres mil y setecientos;
28Y Sadoc, mancebo valiente y esforzado, con veinte y dos de los principales de la casa de su padre.
29De los hijos de Benjamín hermanos de Saúl, tres mil; porque aun en aquel tiempo muchos de ellos tenían la parte de la casa de Saúl.
30Y de los hijos de Ephraim, veinte mil y ochocientos, muy valientes, varones ilustres en las casas de sus padres.
31De la media tribu de Manasés, diez y ocho mil, los cuales fueron tomados por lista para venir á poner á David por rey.
32Y de los hijos de Issachâr, doscientos principales, entendidos en los tiempos, y que sabían lo que Israel debía hacer, cuyo dicho seguían todos sus hermanos.
33Y de Zabulón cincuenta mil, que salían á campaña á punto de guerra, con todas armas de guerra, dispuestos á pelear sin doblez de corazón.
34Y de Nephtalí mil capitanes, y con ellos treinta y siete mil con escudo y lanza.
35De los de Dan, dispuestos á pelear, veinte y ocho mil y seiscientos.
36Y de Aser, á punto de guerra y aparejados á pelear, cuarenta mil.
37Y de la otra parte del Jordán, de los Rubenitas y de los de Gad y de la media tribu de Manasés, ciento y veinte mil con toda suerte de armas de guerra.
38Todos estos hombres de guerra, dispuestos para guerrear, vinieron con corazón perfecto á Hebrón, para poner á David por rey sobre todo Israel; asimismo todos los demás de Israel estaban de un mismo ánimo para poner á David por rey.
39Y estuvieron allí con David tres días comiendo y bebiendo, porque sus hermanos habían prevenido para ellos.
40Y también los que les eran vecinos, hasta Issachâr y Zabulón y Nephtalí, trajeron pan en asnos, y camellos, y mulos, y bueyes; y provisión de harina, masas de higos, y pasas, vino y aceite, bueyes y ovejas en abundancia, porque en Israel había alegría.

1Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.
3The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
4And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
6Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,

8And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
9Ezer the first, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third,
10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
14These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
15These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
16And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
17And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
18Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
20As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
21And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
22For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
23And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
24The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
27And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;
28And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty and two captains.
29And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
30And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
31And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
32And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
33Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.
34And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
35And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
36And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.
37And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
38All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
40Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.

1Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag while he was a fugitive from Saul the son of Kish. They were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow. They were of Saul’s relatives of the tribe of Benjamin.
3The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;
4Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty and a leader of the thirty; Jeremiah; Jahaziel; Johanan; Jozabad the Gederathite;
5Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah; Shephatiah the Haruphite;

18Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, “We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse. Peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you.” Then David received them and made them captains of the band.
19Some of Manasseh also joined David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they didn’t help them, for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will desert to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”
20As he went to Ziklag, some from Manasseh joined him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
21They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor and were captains in the army.
22For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like God’s army.
23These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the LORD’s word.
24The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand eight hundred, armed for war.
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war: seven thousand one hundred.
26Of the children of Levi: four thousand six hundred.
27Jehoiada was the leader of the household of Aaron; and with him were three thousand seven hundred,
28and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father’s house twenty-two captains.
29Of the children of Benjamin, Saul’s relatives: three thousand, for until then, the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to Saul’s house.
30Of the children of Ephraim: twenty thousand eight hundred, mighty men of valor, famous men in their fathers’ houses.
31Of the half-tribe of Manasseh: eighteen thousand, who were mentioned by name, to come and make David king.
32Of the children of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their heads were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their command.
33Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array with all kinds of instruments of war: fifty thousand who could command and were not of double heart.
34Of Naphtali: one thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty-seven thousand.
35Of the Danites who could set the battle in array: twenty-eight thousand six hundred.
36Of Asher, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array: forty thousand.
37On the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle: one hundred twenty thousand.
38All these were men of war who could order the battle array, and came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39They were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had supplied provisions for them.
40Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, on camels, on mules, and on oxen: supplies of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.
