1And these are they that came to Sikelag, when he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kis; and these were among the mighty, aiding him in war,
2and using the bow with the right hand and with the left, and slingers with stones, and shooters with bows. Of the brethren of Saul of Benjamin,
3the chief was Achiezer, and Joas son of Asma the Gabathite, and Joel and Jophalet, sons of Asmoth, and Berchia, and Jeul of Anathoth,
4and Samaias the Gabaonite a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremia, and Jeziel, and Joanan, and Jozabath of Gadarathiim,
5Azai and Arimuth, and Baalia, and Samaraia, and Saphatias of Charaephiel,
6Helcana, and Jesuni, and Ozriel, and Jozara, and Sobocam, and the Corites,
7and Jelia and Zabadia, sons of Iroam, and the men of Gedor.
8And from Gr. Gaddi Gad these separated themselves to David from the wilderness, strong mighty men Gr. of array of war of war, bearing shields and spears, and their faces were as the face of a lion, and they were nimble as roes upon the mountains in speed.
9Aza the chief, Abdia the second, Eliab the third,
10Masmana the fourth, Jeremias the fifth,
11Jethi the sixth, Eliab the seventh,
12Joanan the eighth, Eleazer the ninth,
13Jeremia the tenth, Melchabanai the eleventh.
14These were chiefs of the army of the sons of Gad, the Gr. little least one commander of a hundred, and the Gr. great greatest one of a thousand.
15These are the men that crossed over Jordan in the first month, and it had overflowed all its Gr. bank banks; and they drove out all the inhabitants of the valleys, from the east to the west.
16And there came some of the sons of Benjamin and Juda to the assistance of David.
17And David went out to meet them, and said to them, If ye are come peaceably to me, let my heart be Gr. by, or according to itself at peace with you: but if ye are come to betray me to my enemies Gr. not in truth of hand unfaithfully, the God of your fathers look upon it, and reprove it.
18And the Spirit Gr. clothed came upon Amasai, a captain of the thirty, and he said, Go, David, son of Jesse, thou and thy people, peace, peace be to thee, and peace to thy helpers, for thy God has helped thee. And David received them, and made them captains of the forces.
19And some came to David from Manasse, when the Philistines came against Saul to war: and he helped them not, because Heb. here differs considerable the captains of the Philistines took counsel, saying, With the heads of those men will he return to his master Saul.
20When David was going to Sikelag, there came to him of Manasse, Edna and Jozabath, and Rodiel, and Michael, and Josabaith, and Elimuth, and Semathi: these are the captains of thousands of Manasse.
21And they fought on the side of David against a The Gr. retains the Heb. word troop, for they were all men of might; and they were commanders in the army, Or, with might because of their might.
22For daily men came to David, till they amounted to a great force, as the force of God.
23And these are the names of the commanders of the army, who came to David to Chebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him according to the word of the Lord.
24The sons of Juda, bearing shields and spears, six thousand and eight hundred mighty in war.
25Of the sons of Symeon mighty for battle, seven thousand and a hundred.
26Of the sons of Levi, four thousand and six hundred.
27And Joadas the chief of the family Gr. to Aaron of Aaron, and with him three thousand and seven hundred.
28And Sadoc, a young man mighty in strength, and there were twenty-two leaders of his father’s house.
29And of the sons of Benjamin, the brethren of Saul, three thousand: and still the greater part of them kept the guard of the house of Saul.
30And of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand and eight hundred mighty men, famous in the houses of Gr. their fathers’ families their fathers.
31And of the half-tribe of Manasse, eighteen thousand, even those who were named by name, to make David king.
32And of the sons of Issachar Gr. knowing prudence or understanding having wisdom with regard to the times, knowing what Israel should do, two hundred; and all their brethren with them.
33And of Zabulon they that went out to Gr. array of war battle, with all weapons of war, were fifty thousand to help David, not weak-handed.
34And of Nephthali a thousand captains, and with them men with shields and spears, thirty-seven thousand.
35And of the Danites men Gr. setting themselves in array ready for war twenty-eight thousand and eight hundred.
36And of Aser, they that went out to give aid in war, forty thousand.
37And from the country beyond Jordan, from Ruben, and the Gadites, and from the half-tribe of Manasse, a hundred and twenty thousand, with all weapons of war.
38All these were men of war, setting the army in battle array, with a peaceful Or, soul mind towards him, and they came to Chebron to make David king over all Israel: and the rest of Israel were of one mind to make David king.
39And they were there three days eating and drinking, for their brethren had made preparations.
40And their neighbours, as far as Issachar and Zabulon and Nephthali, brought to them upon camels, and asses, and mules, and upon calves, victuals, meal, cakes of figs, raisins, wine, and oil, calves and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.

1ESTOS son los que vinieron á David á Siclag, estando él aún encerrado por causa de Saúl hijo de Cis, y eran de los valientes ayudadores de la guerra.
2Estaban armados de arcos, y usaban de ambas manos en tirar piedras con honda, y saetas con arco. De los hermanos de Saúl de Benjamín:

17Y David salió á ellos, y hablóles diciendo: Si habéis venido á mí para paz y para ayudarme, mi corazón será unido con vosotros; mas si para engañarme en pro de mis enemigos, siendo mis manos sin iniquidad, véalo el Dios de nuestros padres, y demándelo.
18Entonces se envistió el espíritu en Amasai, príncipe de treinta, y dijo: Por ti, oh David, y contigo, oh hijo de Isaí. Paz, paz contigo, y paz con tus ayudadores; pues que también tu Dios te ayuda. Y David los recibió, y púsolos entre los capitanes de la cuadrilla.
19También se pasaron á David algunos de Manasés, cuando vino con los Filisteos á la batalla contra Saúl, aunque no les ayudaron; porque los sátrapas de los Filisteos, habido consejo, lo despidieron, diciendo: Con nuestras cabezas se pasará á su señor Saúl.
20Así que viniendo él á Siclag, se pasaron á él de los de Manasés, Adnas, Jozabad, Jediaiel, Michâel, Jozabad, Eliú, y Sillethai, príncipes de millares de los de Manasés.
21Estos ayudaron á David contra aquella compañía; porque todos ellos eran hombres valientes, y fueron capitanes en el ejército.
22Porque entonces todos los días venía ayuda á David, hasta hacerse un grande ejército, como ejército de Dios.
23Y este es el número de los principales que estaban á punto de guerra, y vinieron á David en Hebrón, para traspasarle el reino de Saúl, conforme á la palabra de Jehová:
24De los hijos de Judá que traían escudo y lanza, seis mil y ochocientos, á punto de guerra.
25De los hijos de Simeón, valientes y esforzados hombres para la guerra, siete mil y ciento.
26De los hijos de Leví, cuatro mil y seiscientos;
27Asimismo Joiada, príncipe de los del linaje de Aarón, y con él tres mil y setecientos;
28Y Sadoc, mancebo valiente y esforzado, con veinte y dos de los principales de la casa de su padre.
29De los hijos de Benjamín hermanos de Saúl, tres mil; porque aun en aquel tiempo muchos de ellos tenían la parte de la casa de Saúl.
30Y de los hijos de Ephraim, veinte mil y ochocientos, muy valientes, varones ilustres en las casas de sus padres.
31De la media tribu de Manasés, diez y ocho mil, los cuales fueron tomados por lista para venir á poner á David por rey.
32Y de los hijos de Issachâr, doscientos principales, entendidos en los tiempos, y que sabían lo que Israel debía hacer, cuyo dicho seguían todos sus hermanos.
33Y de Zabulón cincuenta mil, que salían á campaña á punto de guerra, con todas armas de guerra, dispuestos á pelear sin doblez de corazón.
34Y de Nephtalí mil capitanes, y con ellos treinta y siete mil con escudo y lanza.
35De los de Dan, dispuestos á pelear, veinte y ocho mil y seiscientos.
36Y de Aser, á punto de guerra y aparejados á pelear, cuarenta mil.
37Y de la otra parte del Jordán, de los Rubenitas y de los de Gad y de la media tribu de Manasés, ciento y veinte mil con toda suerte de armas de guerra.
38Todos estos hombres de guerra, dispuestos para guerrear, vinieron con corazón perfecto á Hebrón, para poner á David por rey sobre todo Israel; asimismo todos los demás de Israel estaban de un mismo ánimo para poner á David por rey.
39Y estuvieron allí con David tres días comiendo y bebiendo, porque sus hermanos habían prevenido para ellos.
40Y también los que les eran vecinos, hasta Issachâr y Zabulón y Nephtalí, trajeron pan en asnos, y camellos, y mulos, y bueyes; y provisión de harina, masas de higos, y pasas, vino y aceite, bueyes y ovejas en abundancia, porque en Israel había alegría.

1Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.
3The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
4And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,

16And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
17And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
18Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
20As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
21And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
22For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
23And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
24The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
27And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;
28And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty and two captains.

1Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag while he was a fugitive from Saul the son of Kish. They were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow. They were of Saul’s relatives of the tribe of Benjamin.
3The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;
4Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty and a leader of the thirty; Jeremiah; Jahaziel; Johanan; Jozabad the Gederathite;
5Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah; Shephatiah the Haruphite;

20As he went to Ziklag, some from Manasseh joined him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
21They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor and were captains in the army.
22For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like God’s army.
23These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the LORD’s word.

40Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, on camels, on mules, and on oxen: supplies of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.
