1Or ce sont ici ceux qui allèrent trouver David à Tsiklag, lorsqu’il y était encore enfermé à cause de Saül fils de Kis, et qui étaient des plus vaillants, pour donner du secours dans la guerre,
2Equipés d’arcs, se servant de la main droite et de la gauche à jeter des pierres, et à tirer des flèches avec l’arc. D’entre les parents de Saül, qui étaient de Benjamin,
3Ahihézer le Chef, et Joas, enfants de Sémaha, qui était de Guibha, et Jéziël, et Pelet enfants de Hazmaveth, et Beraca, et Jéhu Hanathothite,
4Et Jismahja Gabaonite, vaillant entre les trente, et même plus que les trente, et Jérémie, Jahaziël, Johanan, et Jozabad Guédérothite,
5Elhuzaï, Jérimoth, Béhalia, Sémaria, et Séphatia Haruphien,
6Elkana, Jisija, Hazaréël, Johézer et Jasobham Corites,
7Et Johéla et Zébadia, enfants de Jéroham de Guédor.
8Quelques-uns aussi des Gadites se retirèrent vers David, dans la forteresse au désert, hommes forts et vaillants, experts à la guerre, et maniant le bouclier et la lance. Leurs visages étaient comme des faces de lion, et ils semblaient des daims sur les montagnes, tant ils couraient légèrement.
9Hézer le premier, Hobadia le second, Eliab le troisième,
10Mismanna le quatrième, Jérémie le cinquième,
11Hattaï le sixième ; Eliël le septième,
12Johanan le huitième, Elzabad le neuvième,
13Jérémie le dixième, Macbannaï le onzième.
14Ceux-là d’entre les enfants de Gad furent Capitaines de l’armée ; le moindre avait la charge de cent hommes, et le plus distingué, de mille.
15Ce sont ceux qui passèrent le Jourdain au premier mois, au temps qu’il a accoutumé de se déborder sur tous ses rivages ; et ils chassèrent ceux qui demeuraient dans les vallées, vers l’Orient et l’Occident.
16Il vint aussi des enfants de Benjamin et de Juda vers David à la forteresse.
17Et David sortit au devant d’eux et prenant la parole, il leur dit : Si vous êtes venus en paix vers moi pour m’aider, mon coeur vous sera uni ; mais si c’est pour me trahir, et me livrer à mes ennemis, quoique je ne sois coupable d’aucune violence, que le Dieu de nos pères le voie, et qu’il en fasse la punition.
18Et l’esprit revêtit Hamasaï un des principaux Capitaines, qui dit: Que la paix soit avec toi, ô David ! qu’elle soit avec toi, fils d’Isaï ! que la paix soit à ceux qui t’aident, puisque ton Dieu t’aide ! Et David les reçut, et les établit entre les Capitaines de ses troupes.
19Il y en eut aussi de ceux de Manassé qui s’allèrent rendre à David, quand il vint avec les Philistins pour combattre contre Saül ; mais ils ne leur donnèrent point de secours, parce que les Gouverneurs des Philistins, après en avoir délibéré entr’eux, le renvoyèrent, en disant : Il se tournera vers son Seigneur Saül, au péril de nos têtes.
20Quand donc il retournait à Tsiklag, Hadna, Jozabad, Jédihaël, Micaël, Jozabad, Elihu, et Tsillethaï, Chefs des milliers qui étaient en Manassé, se tournèrent vers lui.
21Et ils aidèrent David contre la troupe des Hamalécites, car ils étaient tous forts et vaillants, et ils furent faits Capitaines dans l’armée.
22Et même à toute heure il venait des gens vers David pour l’aider, de sorte qu’il eut une grande armée, comme une armée de Dieu.
23Or ce sont ici les dénombrements des hommes équipés pour la guerre, qui vinrent vers David à Hébron, afin de faire tomber sur lui le Royaume de Saül, suivant le commandement de l’Eternel.
24Des enfants de Juda, qui portaient le bouclier et la javeline, six mille huit cents, équipés pour la guerre.
25Des enfants de Siméon, forts et vaillants pour la guerre, sept mille et cent.
26Des enfants de Lévi, quatre mille six cents.
27Et Jéhojadah, conducteur de ceux d’Aaron et avec lui trois mille sept cents.
28Et Tsadoc, jeune homme fort et vaillant, et vingt et deux des principaux de la maison de son père.
29Des enfants de Benjamin, parents de Saül, trois mille ; car jusqu’alors la plus grande partie d’entr’eux avait tâché de soutenir la maison de Saül.
30Des enfants d’Ephraïm vingt mille huit cents, forts et vaillants, et hommes de réputation dans la maison de leurs pères.
31De la demi-Tribu de Manassé dix-huit mille, qui furent nommés par leur nom pour aller établir David Roi.
32Des enfants d’Issacar, fort intelligents dans la connaissance des temps, pour savoir ce que devait faire Israël, deux cents de leurs Chefs, et tous leurs frères se conduisaient par leur avis.
33De Zabulon, cinquante mille combattants, rangés en bataille avec toutes sortes d’armes, et gardant leur rang d’un coeur assuré.
34De Nephthali, mille capitaines, et avec eux trente-sept mille, portant le bouclier et la hallebarde.
35Des Danites, vingt-huit mille six cents, rangés en bataille.
36D’Aser, quarante mille combattants, et gardant leur rang en bataille.
37De ceux de delà le Jourdain, savoir des Rubénites, des Gadites, et de la demi-Tribu de Manassé, six-vingt mille, avec tous les instruments de guerre pour combattre.
38Tous ceux-ci, gens de guerre, rangés en bataille, vinrent tous de bon coeur à Hébron, pour établir David Roi sur tout Israël ; et tout le reste d’Israël était aussi d’un même sentiment pour établir David Roi.
39Et ils furent là avec David, mangeant et buvant pendant trois jours ; car leurs frères leur avaient préparé des vivres.
40Et même ceux qui étaient les plus proches d’eux jusqu’à Issacar, et Zabulon, et Nephthali, apportaient du pain sur des ânes et sur des chameaux, sur des mulets, et sur des boeufs, de la farine, des figues sèches, des raisins secs, du vin, et de l’huile, et ils amenaient des bœufs, et des brebis en abondance ; car il y avait joie en Israël.

1ESTOS son los que vinieron á David á Siclag, estando él aún encerrado por causa de Saúl hijo de Cis, y eran de los valientes ayudadores de la guerra.
2Estaban armados de arcos, y usaban de ambas manos en tirar piedras con honda, y saetas con arco. De los hermanos de Saúl de Benjamín:
3El principal Ahiezer, después Joas, hijos de Semaa Gabaathita; y Jeziel, y Pheleth, hijos de Azmaveth, y Beracah, y Jehú Anathothita;
4E Ismaías Gabaonita, valiente entre los treinta, y más que los treinta; y Jeremías, Jahaziel, Joanán, Jozabad Gederathita,
5Eluzai, y Jeremoth, Bealías, Semarías, y Sephatías Haruphita;
6Elcana, é Isías, y Azareel, y Joezer, y Jasobam, de Coré;
7Y Joela, y Zebadías, hijos de Jeroham de Gedor.
8También de los de Gad se huyeron á David, estando en la fortaleza en el desierto, muy valientes hombres de guerra para pelear, dispuestos á hacerlo con escudo y pavés: sus rostros como rostros de leones, y ligeros como las cabras monteses.
9Eser el primero, Obadías el segundo, Eliab el tercero,
10Mismana el cuarto, Jeremías el quinto,
11Attai el sexto, Eliel el séptimo,
12Johanán el octavo, Elzabad el nono,
13Jeremías el décimo, Machbani el undécimo.
14Estos fueron capitanes del ejército de los hijos de Gad. El menor tenía cargo de cien hombres, y el mayor de mil.
15Estos pasaron el Jordán en el mes primero, cuando había salido sobre todas sus riberas; é hicieron huir á todos los de los valles al oriente y al poniente.
16Asimismo algunos de los hijos de Benjamín y de Judá vinieron á David á la fortaleza.
17Y David salió á ellos, y hablóles diciendo: Si habéis venido á mí para paz y para ayudarme, mi corazón será unido con vosotros; mas si para engañarme en pro de mis enemigos, siendo mis manos sin iniquidad, véalo el Dios de nuestros padres, y demándelo.
18Entonces se envistió el espíritu en Amasai, príncipe de treinta, y dijo: Por ti, oh David, y contigo, oh hijo de Isaí. Paz, paz contigo, y paz con tus ayudadores; pues que también tu Dios te ayuda. Y David los recibió, y púsolos entre los capitanes de la cuadrilla.
19También se pasaron á David algunos de Manasés, cuando vino con los Filisteos á la batalla contra Saúl, aunque no les ayudaron; porque los sátrapas de los Filisteos, habido consejo, lo despidieron, diciendo: Con nuestras cabezas se pasará á su señor Saúl.
20Así que viniendo él á Siclag, se pasaron á él de los de Manasés, Adnas, Jozabad, Jediaiel, Michâel, Jozabad, Eliú, y Sillethai, príncipes de millares de los de Manasés.
21Estos ayudaron á David contra aquella compañía; porque todos ellos eran hombres valientes, y fueron capitanes en el ejército.
22Porque entonces todos los días venía ayuda á David, hasta hacerse un grande ejército, como ejército de Dios.
23Y este es el número de los principales que estaban á punto de guerra, y vinieron á David en Hebrón, para traspasarle el reino de Saúl, conforme á la palabra de Jehová:
24De los hijos de Judá que traían escudo y lanza, seis mil y ochocientos, á punto de guerra.
25De los hijos de Simeón, valientes y esforzados hombres para la guerra, siete mil y ciento.
26De los hijos de Leví, cuatro mil y seiscientos;
27Asimismo Joiada, príncipe de los del linaje de Aarón, y con él tres mil y setecientos;
28Y Sadoc, mancebo valiente y esforzado, con veinte y dos de los principales de la casa de su padre.
29De los hijos de Benjamín hermanos de Saúl, tres mil; porque aun en aquel tiempo muchos de ellos tenían la parte de la casa de Saúl.
30Y de los hijos de Ephraim, veinte mil y ochocientos, muy valientes, varones ilustres en las casas de sus padres.
31De la media tribu de Manasés, diez y ocho mil, los cuales fueron tomados por lista para venir á poner á David por rey.
32Y de los hijos de Issachâr, doscientos principales, entendidos en los tiempos, y que sabían lo que Israel debía hacer, cuyo dicho seguían todos sus hermanos.
33Y de Zabulón cincuenta mil, que salían á campaña á punto de guerra, con todas armas de guerra, dispuestos á pelear sin doblez de corazón.
34Y de Nephtalí mil capitanes, y con ellos treinta y siete mil con escudo y lanza.
35De los de Dan, dispuestos á pelear, veinte y ocho mil y seiscientos.
36Y de Aser, á punto de guerra y aparejados á pelear, cuarenta mil.
37Y de la otra parte del Jordán, de los Rubenitas y de los de Gad y de la media tribu de Manasés, ciento y veinte mil con toda suerte de armas de guerra.
38Todos estos hombres de guerra, dispuestos para guerrear, vinieron con corazón perfecto á Hebrón, para poner á David por rey sobre todo Israel; asimismo todos los demás de Israel estaban de un mismo ánimo para poner á David por rey.
39Y estuvieron allí con David tres días comiendo y bebiendo, porque sus hermanos habían prevenido para ellos.
40Y también los que les eran vecinos, hasta Issachâr y Zabulón y Nephtalí, trajeron pan en asnos, y camellos, y mulos, y bueyes; y provisión de harina, masas de higos, y pasas, vino y aceite, bueyes y ovejas en abundancia, porque en Israel había alegría.

1Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in hurling stones and shooting arrows out of a bow, even of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.
3The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Berachah, and Jehu the Antothite,
4And Ismaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty, and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Josabad the Gederathite,
5Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite,
6Elkanah, and Jesiah, and Azareel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korhites,
7And Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;

10Mishmannah the fourth, Jeremiah the fifth,
11Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh,
12Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth,
13Jeremiah the tenth, Machbanai the eleventh.
14These were of the sons of Gad, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand.
15These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
16And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
17And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
18Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
19And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
20As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
21And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
22For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
23And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
24The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
27And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;
28And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty and two captains.
29And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
30And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.
31And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
32And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
33Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.
34And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
35And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
36And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.
37And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
38All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
40Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.

1Now these are those who came to David to Ziklag while he was a fugitive from Saul the son of Kish. They were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
2They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow. They were of Saul’s relatives of the tribe of Benjamin.
3The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; Jeziel and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; Beracah; Jehu the Anathothite;
4Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty and a leader of the thirty; Jeremiah; Jahaziel; Johanan; Jozabad the Gederathite;
5Eluzai; Jerimoth; Bealiah; Shemariah; Shephatiah the Haruphite;
6Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
7and Joelah and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
8Some Gadites joined David in the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains:

18Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said, “We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse. Peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you.” Then David received them and made them captains of the band.
19Some of Manasseh also joined David when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they didn’t help them, for the lords of the Philistines sent him away after consultation, saying, “He will desert to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.”
20As he went to Ziklag, some from Manasseh joined him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael, Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands who were of Manasseh.
21They helped David against the band of raiders, for they were all mighty men of valor and were captains in the army.
22For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like God’s army.
23These are the numbers of the heads of those who were armed for war, who came to David to Hebron to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the LORD’s word.
24The children of Judah who bore shield and spear were six thousand eight hundred, armed for war.
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valor for the war: seven thousand one hundred.
26Of the children of Levi: four thousand six hundred.
27Jehoiada was the leader of the household of Aaron; and with him were three thousand seven hundred,
28and Zadok, a young man mighty of valor, and of his father’s house twenty-two captains.
29Of the children of Benjamin, Saul’s relatives: three thousand, for until then, the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to Saul’s house.

32Of the children of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, their heads were two hundred; and all their brothers were at their command.
33Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array with all kinds of instruments of war: fifty thousand who could command and were not of double heart.
34Of Naphtali: one thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty-seven thousand.
35Of the Danites who could set the battle in array: twenty-eight thousand six hundred.
36Of Asher, such as were able to go out in the army, who could set the battle in array: forty thousand.
37On the other side of the Jordan, of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and of the half-tribe of Manasseh, with all kinds of instruments of war for the battle: one hundred twenty thousand.
38All these were men of war who could order the battle array, and came with a perfect heart to Hebron to make David king over all Israel; and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
39They were there with David three days, eating and drinking; for their brothers had supplied provisions for them.
40Moreover those who were near to them, as far as Issachar, Zebulun, and Naphtali, brought bread on donkeys, on camels, on mules, and on oxen: supplies of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, wine, oil, cattle, and sheep in abundance; for there was joy in Israel.
