David había dicho: "Quien sea que ataque los jebuseos primeros se volverá un comandante." Así que Joab hijo de Sarvia atacó primero y fue declarado comandante.

Y David había dicho: El que primero hiriere al Jebuseo, será cabeza y jefe. Entonces Joab hijo de Sarvia subió el primero, y fué hecho jefe.

And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
