David había dicho: «El que ataque primero a los jebuseos será jefe y capitán.» Joab, hijo de Sarvia, subió primero y fue nombrado jefe.

Y David había dicho: El que primero hiriere al Jebuseo, será cabeza y jefe. Entonces Joab hijo de Sarvia subió el primero, y fué hecho jefe.

And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief.
