Die Philister aber kämpften mit Israel. Da floh Israels Mannschaft vor den Philistern, und Erschlagene lagen auf dem Gebirge Gilboa.

LOS Filisteos pelearon con Israel; y huyeron delante de ellos los Israelitas, y cayeron heridos en el monte de Gilboa.

Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.

Und die Philister hefteten sich an Saul und seine Söhne. Und so erschlugen die Philister Sauls Söhne, Jonatan, Abinadab und Malkisua.

Y los Filisteos siguieron á Saúl y á sus hijos; y mataron los Filisteos á Jonathán, y á Abinadab, y á Malchîsua, hijos de Saúl.

So wurde der Kampf für Saul immer schwerer. Da trafen ihn die Bogenschützen in den Leib. So wurde er durch die Bogenschützen verwundet.

Y agravóse la batalla sobre Saúl, y le alcanzaron los flecheros, y fué de los flecheros herido.

And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.

Da sprach Saul zu seinem Waffenträger: "Zücke dein Schwert und erstich mich damit, daß nicht diese Unbeschnittenen kommen und mit mir ihr Spiel treiben!" Aber sein Waffenträger wollte nicht. Denn er scheute sich zu sehr. Da zog Saul selbst das Schwert und stürzte sich hinein.

Entonces dijo Saúl á su escudero: Saca tu espada, y pásame con ella, porque no vengan estos incircuncisos, y hagan escarnio de mí; mas su escudero no quiso, porque tenía gran miedo. Entonces Saúl tomó la espada, y echóse sobre ella.

Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

Then Saul said to his armor bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me.” But his armor bearer would not, for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword and fell on it.

Wie aber sein Waffenträger sah, daß Saul tot war, stürzte auch er sich in das Schwert und starb.

Y como su escudero vió á Saúl muerto, él también se echó sobre su espada, y matóse.

And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.

When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell on his sword and died.

So starben Saul und seine drei Söhne und sein ganzes Haus; so starben sie miteinander.

Als aber Israels gesamte Mannschaft, die im Tale wohnte, sah, daß jene geflohen und daß Saul und seine Söhne tot waren, verließ sie ihre Städte und floh. Da kamen die Philister und siedelten darin.

Y viendo todos los de Israel que habitaban en el valle, que habían huído, y que Saúl y sus hijos eran muertos, dejaron sus ciudades, y huyeron: y vinieron los Filisteos, y habitaron en ellas.

And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.

Am anderen Morgen kamen die Philister, um die Erschlagenen zu plündern. Da fanden sie Saul und seine Söhne auf dem Gebirge Gilboa liegen.

Y fué que viniendo el día siguiente los Filisteos á despojar los muertos, hallaron á Saúl y á sus hijos tendidos en el monte de Gilboa.

And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa.

Sie zogen ihn aus, nahmen sein Haupt und seine Waffen und sandten sie im Philisterlande umher, ihren Götzen und dem Volke die Siegesbotschaft zu künden.

Y luego que le hubieron desnudado, tomaron su cabeza y sus armas, y enviáronlo todo á la tierra de los Filisteos por todas partes, para que fuese denunciado á sus ídolos y al pueblo.

And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the people.

Seine Waffen legten sie in dem Hause ihres Gottes nieder. Seinen Schädel aber nagelten sie im Hause Dagons an.

Als ganz Jabes in Gilead das alles hörte, was die Philister an Saul getan hatten,

machten sich alle wehrfesten Männer auf und holten Sauls Leichnam und die Leichen seiner Söhne und brachten sie nach Jabes. Sie begruben ihre Gebeine unter der Terebinthe zu Jabes und fasteten sieben Tage.

Levantáronse todos los hombres valientes, y tomaron el cuerpo de Saúl, y los cuerpos de sus hijos, y trajéronlos á Jabes; y enterraron sus huesos debajo del alcornoque en Jabes, y ayunaron siete días.

They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

So starb Saul wegen seines Abfalls vom Herrn, wegen des Herrnwortes, das er nicht befolgt und auch, weil er einen Totengeist befragt

Así murió Saúl por su rebelión con que prevaricó contra Jehová, contra la palabra de Jehová, la cual no guardó; y porque consultó al pythón, preguntándole,

So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;

und nicht beim Herrn angefragt hatte. So ließ er ihn sterben und wandte das Königtum dem Isaisohne David zu.

Y no consultó á Jehová: por esta causa lo mató, y traspasó el reino á David, hijo de Isaí.

And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
